Attempted to have a local electrician complete some work at our home to support a local business…read morehowever this backfired on me as after spending a great deal of time trying to get a hold of someone from Kopp Electric, they ended up not even showing up for the scheduled time. I called numerous times and left requests on their website before someone called me back weeks later. We planned a time for someone to come out to our home and I made arrangements with my own work to leave early so I could meet someone from Kopp Electric. No one ended up showing up at the scheduled time and when I attempted to call the number, no one answered. I was told at a later date that they did not have my number to call me to let me know that they were not going to make the scheduled appointment. Sounds like they need some secretarial help or better management to assist with organizational skills. Look elsewhere for electrical services!

They were able to salvage my leaking mixing valve on my water heater and noticed that it only needed a new grommet. Several other electrical companies charged over $100 just to come out and do an estimate before even doing any work - I found this to be ridiculous and decided to go with "James Morrow Electrician and Handyman." I can tell you right away that I made a solid decision as that Jim did a great job from the gecko! He was very responsive, professional and explained everything he is going to do over the phone so that I felt comfortable with choosing him as a professional. When he arrived, he was very respectful to the property. He did not mind me watching him install the electrical outlets in my home and explain how the whole system works. Jim did a fantastic job of eliminating one of my existing electrical outlets and moving it up. He also installed a new GFI outlet in my bathroom so that I can hook up my beloved Japan-style bidet toilet. Against my better judgement, we agreed. When the electrician arrived, he stated there would be a $600 charge just for troubleshooting to determine the trouble. $800 before any actual repairs would be started? That's insane. Needless to say, I paid him the $195 and sent him on his way. Determined to get our money, his supervisor phoned us twice in ten minutes, pleading with us to keep the appointment, offering to reduce a mere $75 off the total charge. To think we would cave in to that was an insult. We managed to have someone repair the breaker and outlet for under a $100. Never will we call these people again.
