Came here late last night looking for Chamoy (and because I was in the neighborhood), and found so much more than that. First of all, yes, I hit the Chamoy jackpot. They had regular and mega Chamoy in small and large bottles (the small was on sale for only $1, and the large was under $2), as well as Tajin Chamoy, and multiple sizes of Tajin, too. Wish I would have come here first. The only thing I was looking for that I didn't find was Tajin-coated gummy bears. I used to shop here all the time, way back when I lived in my first apartment alone, right around the corner from this store. Back then, I think they were open 24 hours. I used to always shop here for things like carne asada, yogurt (they still carry my favorite pina colada kefir), fruit cups, cereal, granola bars, and tres leches cake (the award winning diet of a 21 year old finally living on her own). Their tres leches cake is super legit, and tastes more like it comes from a Mexican bakery than from a grocery store. The inside of the store is fairly clean and well-organized, given the price range. The parking lot is another story. If I wrote about some of the things I've seen in this parking lot, I would have to drop stars from my rating. A few weeks after my little sister had her first baby, I brought her shopping here. She picked out groceries while I carried him around the produce section. Some lady was asking me questions like, "How old is your baby? How much does he weigh?" and I irritated my sister by answering the questions as if he were my own baby. As my little sister pulled her son out of my arms, she said, "Get your own baby, (censored)!" It's been an inside joke between us for about sixteen years now. "Get your own baby, (censored)!" As I walked through the produce area where this all of took place, the memory hit me so hard that I almost started laughing out loud. Anyway, the produce section looked very clean and fresh, and the prices were about the same as Winco, or lower. Even though the store is on the smaller side, they carry a decent selection of products that can be hard to find elsewhere. I may have to start shopping here more often. Or, at least, whenever I run out of Chamoy. read more

Workers here are super rude. The checkout line is always long and slow moving. I live close but the only time ever go here is if I'm in a hurry or not wanting to drive far. Most of the time I'd much rather go elsewhere even if it's a bit longer drive from my house. read more

I returned a Foster Farms whole chicken with no problem and got a full refund from Mike, one of the store managers who came promptly after being called by another employee who I approached with my concern. store has alot of great stuff for low value BUT they have like 2 lanes open 3 if your lucky, stores pretty dirty and SOME workers aren't friendly. I cant ever find any one to ask for something. On the 20th of this month I stopped in to finally check it out for myself, I gotta say you really stretch your dollar here, I was just blown away by all the amazing deals I found! For example I purchased some rolls for $0.98 and it came with 6 rolls, just wow, they made a great addition to some delicious pulled pork sandwiches! I also found some bowls with straws that I remember were awesome as a kid for slurping ice cream when it turned to liquid or cereal milk, I was Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs that made chocolate milk! I was lucky enough to purchase the last 8 they had! Lastly I purchased an 8 pk of mini Kellogg's Cereal boxes, both the bowls and cereal made a great addition to the party favors for my daughter's 2nd birthday party! I would highly recommend shopping at this location, the staff were very friendly and helpful with finding items since it was my first time in and I know I'll come back for more great deals! read more

We stopped in to return a Redbox movie since we were in the area. It had been over ten years since my last visit and the store hasn't changed much. It's similar to Winco but smaller with not as much inventory. The prices were good and competitive with Winco on most sale items. Like for instance, on this trip I found asparagus for $1.49 a lb. I did have to select carefully as it wasn't as fresh. The same could be said for a lot of their produce. Their zucchinis were $ .69 a lb but they were kinda old and not as fresh as what I would find at Sprouts, Winco or WalMart. There were some good buys though, like three boxes of Kellogg's cereal for $5 and twelve pack of Firestone beer for $13.99, regular $18.99. I only know this because I acquired a taste for the Firestone 805, when I purchased a six pack on sale @Sprouts for $7.99. Also I saw that they sell small bottles of Sriracha for $1.45 when I bought the same bottle for $1.76 @Walmart. The store was clean and organized when I visited and I still would probably come here if I had a choice of FoodMax vs Raley's or Safeway. read more

I was absolutely appalled by the treatment that I got from the manager this morning at 6 am. I asked him very politely if I could take some boxes off his hands for moving purposes and he pretty much told me to go fuck myself looking away not making eye contact as he is sitting down on the handicap electric cart not doing a damn thing. They compact them and throw them away. I've been a customer of theirs for 3 years, I will not be shopping there again. Absolutely disgusted by the the lack of customer service. read more

I rarely shop here, it's just the closest place. I was out of water and milk this morning so I stopped in to get some of both. These guys may have good prices on some things but half gallon of milk is $.50 higher here than Winco. Probably worth the $.50 just to not have to drive all the way to Winco. This store is the dirtiest grocery I've even been in. I went in earlier today for 1 item, a 2 liter bottle of 7up and every single bottle on the shelf was sticky and had visible dust. Why would customers want to handle or carry soda bottles covered in sticky soda?! I had to go to the restroom to wash if off my hands. The restroom had trash on the floors and smelled bad. The lines were incredibly long and slow. I honestly think they have more check stands than employees smart enough to operate the registers. A couple times I've had nice interactions with employees at the registers, but the cleanliness of the store and slowness of lines isn't worth further returns. read more

We went here about 5 years ago and ALL the meat we got was rotten was opening. We didnt go for years and went ago last month in hope it would have been better. Checking the meat before putting in our cart and it was still expired ans green meat! I don't know where they get their supply, or how they keep their Temps but it's absolutely DISGUSTING how you can walk to meat section and point out spoiled and discolored meats. I am a frequent customer as I have lived in area for 30 plus years... I'm usually in great acquaintance with the employees at this store. I went in to buy V8 and detergent. There was about 4 employees stocking its about 1130 am. There's 1 line to check out. I check out and notice pot pies on sale and went to get one and went back to check out the line was so long now I didn't want wait so I put pie back and went to exit. The person stocking candy yelled you not gonna pay. I continue walking not thinking she talking to me. She then says you just gonna steal that. I look back and see she's referring to me. I go to her and say that's rude I paid and show her my receipt. She says people steal everyday! I say I'm not one. My receipt and items are visibly in hand I have no bag. She says where what you picked up over there, referring to the pie. Instead of apologizing she further accused me... Ashley was horrible and disrespectful.. I'm elderly with no bag and a receipt THE accusations were unwarranted. Ashley proved to be ignorant and unworthy of working in customer service...Especially at a Neighborhood grocery store. She was loud and combative while I spoke to her calmly. She never apologized she was ridiculously rude. Worst store visit in 30 years. Even if she has poor customer service there was no way she should be disrespectful to her elder. Ashley was disgusting . Everything is fresh and prices are great. The store was clean, well faced, and nothing too much out of place. The selections for every department were pretty good, with good stock too. The checker was nice and quick with checking out my order. I had to knock them down a star because the stipulations for their bigger sales are not printed in a very big font and not able to be seen very well. The sign was huge for the sale price but little did I know when I got to the register and it rang up at the normal price that I was supposed to purchase 3. Wish they would fix that but I still recommend for everything else, just pay VERY close attention to how much you have to purchase. read more

OMG I only came here to see what it was all about since I saw a commercial on TV saying they were cheaper than Win Co. They were NOT. The store was dirty and laid out kinda like a WinCo but smaller and with WAY less selection than I am accustomed to. A few of the staple items I always get were quite a bit higher here than Win Co or Walmart! Del Monte Spaghetti sauce was $1.18 here regularly and regularly at WinCo and Walmart only $.87 was just one example. I bought a few things but didn't get much as I got more upset and just went to Sams on the way home for the other stuff. Don't waste your time I have already done that for you. When I inexplicably run out of something, I usually run to safeway. That's not because I'm a grocery store snob. (Well, maybe I am, I just like Sprouts and Safeway better.) It's because this place is a hole! Sure their prices on things like canned goods are crazy good, but the lines are so damn long, there are times where I just want to throw up my hands, toss down my one item and storm out the door. Every time I go in there are several employees without masks or wearing them incorrectly. In addition there are usually between 2-5 customers without masks and no social distancing. Two weeks ago all staff were sent home to quarantine and staff from other stores covered the store but nothing was posted for customers to know this. Now regular staff has returned and they still don't wear masks. Do not recommend unless your an "antimasker". Cuz your "rights" "trump" public health and safety! read more

This is the closest grocery store to my house. Last night I stopped in around 9pm for last minute items. Jonathan (cashier) and Heather were talking and laughing loudly about getting waxed and hygiene etc. It was very uncomfortable and they talked without greeting customers or acknowledging their presence. As I was checking out I was not even addressed or looked at. It's almost as if they made it a point to ignore customers, perhaps because it was later in the evening. Grocery store with a decent selection of food items and other related items. Prices are not as good as they used to be. Visited about a week ago and mentally checked prices on several things I normally buy. Milk, yogurt, sodas and breads were higher. Snacks like chips and Doritos seemed high. 3.99 v. About $2.50 if you buy on sale at larger grocery stores. Kinda sketchy at night. Parking lot has some homeless. Haven't been asked for money in a while. I've come in to this store about 2 times because I happened to be going by it and figured I'd stop in. I don't like it. At all. I think it could be cleaner, their employees could be nicer and their prices could be better. Seriously, their prices aren't anything special as far as I am concerned. Maybe they are cheaper than other places on crappy items and junk food I don't use but I didn't see prices that impressed me. Last time I was there I asked an employee if he could look up a price for me because everything else was marked except for this particular food item and they just came up with a random price. I asked him again if he could find out the exact price and while huffing and puffing he took off to find out. When he came back and told me the price, it wasn't even close to the price he had made up before and he just seemed so annoyed. Was he annoyed for having to do his job? One word: Ick. I went here ONCE because I was driving by and only needed to pick up a few (canned) things. Never again. The clientele, let's not even start. The "organization", if we can call it that, was atrocious. There is no rhyme or reason to what they put on which aisles, and they don't really label the aisles (only 3 items from each aisle, but since they are unrelated, you get things like "Cereal, Fruit Snacks, Plastic Bags-WTF??). I walked around for 10 mins trying to find canned corn. Really, no sign for canned vegetables? I found it on the aisle marked "Beans." Also, the way it's laid out is asinine and only benefits the business. You HAVE to walk around the whole place to get from the entrance to the exit. No thanks. I am only giving it 2 stars because it was, indeed, dirt cheap, and I like the way they mark items under $1 with blue tags so they stand out. Still not worth it to me, though. If you're looking for cheap groceries, my money's at WinCo or Groc Out. Neat, clean, organized, and you don't feel like you're gonna get mugged. What Can I Get For 4 Bucks?: Pretty much anything in the store. Bought a large jar of Pace, squeezable sour cream, canned corn, refried beans, 20 tortillas, and spanish rice; the most expensive item was $3.29 (salsa). Total was about $9.50. read more
