Small mom & pop shop with predominantly Burmese (Myanmar) foods with some American snacks and other Asian foods (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, etc). Great to have an East Asian/ SE Asian store in Citrus Heights! Lots of authentic Burmese products that I wouldn't know where else to get in the Sac area. Prices are a bit expensive but importing products from Myanmar is hard since the relationship between the US and Myanmar aren't great thanks to Myanmar being under the rule of a dictatorship via a military junta. The only con is that a lot of the Burmese products are packaged in Burmese with minimal translation so you don't always know what the items are unless you ask. Please go support them so they can stay in business and CH residents have a more diverse shopping experience / more options!

A Burmese aka Myanmar based grocery store in the heart of Citrus Heights. The prices are high, but understandable considering they're a specialty store for a country in the middle of a coup which has heavy import restrictions. Lots of selections of dried noodles, chips, canned goods, as well as big bags of rice and sweets. Parking is good as its in a dedicated mini-shopping mall. Has white clean floors and walls, it is very comfortable atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and eager to help. My wife speaks Burmese, so no troubles communicating. But also where nice and spoke to me as well a bit in English. Come support local!

Finally an Asian market in Citrus Heights. Always wanted something closer to home then to Drive out south or to Roseville. They have lots to choose from just no fresh produce! Very clean and staff is very friendly. They had exactly what I needed for my Sinigang! Thanks Rangoon!

Since KP International originated as a Korean market there is a huge selection of Korean food and has the most extensive inventory of Korean products. There are multiple security guards throughout the store as a crime deterrent and can call the police if needed. Even the cashiers are overly vigilant. On one occasion I was pushing my cart by the register to look at items arraigned across from the register and I was yelled at that I needed to pay. I explained I was going to the items for sale and the cashier told me I needed to leave my cart next to the register. I left my cart next to the register and she stood next to it and proceeded to stare me down as I went to look at the display with the items. The Tofu Soup from the food court area was average. There was barely any seafood but it tasted good. There was a large amount of kimchi served on the side with a side of rice. The cost was high considering the lack of ingredients in the soup. Ordering on the kiosk was fast and easy. Service was good as the workers were friendly and helpful.

Hello to the fresh sturgeon steaks that called my name. My favorite fish is very hard to find and super expensive. These steaks per pound seemed way cheaper than any other meat or fish since this economy jumped into the handbasket. The sturgeon was delicious grilled and seasoned with a little duck fat oil amd lemon. I also got some enormous thick loin lamb chops and some veal stew to make my mother's fabulous veal saute (on the stove as we speak) recipe. They had real almond macaroons and an amazing assortment of Ukrainian, Russian, and Armenian delicacies and staples. Staff was friendly and answered my nosy questions; check out was easy and uncrowded. Worth a trip.

They also have a selection of Filipino breads, like pandesal, pan de ube, and cheese rolls. The store is clean, extremely organized, and fully stocked. I personally like roaming through the sauces aisles and ice cream section. There is a hot foods area and a bubble tea shop that I didn't get to check out, but they looked good. Some pantry items and produce are on the pricer side, but you're basically paying for the convenience. If you're in the area and don't want to make the drive to KP Market or Seafood City, I highly recommend shopping at Oriental Market.

They even have a small cafeteria-style restaurant selling various hot and ready filipino food and desserts. Yum! My sister and I went here because she likes the sago't gulaman drink from the boba place inside the grocery store. She treated me to halo-halo and it was delicious! A perfect cold treat on a warm day. They are generous with the beans and toppings and the price is reasonable for the amount and quality. For both drinks, I believe she paid around $15 and we place our order using the convenient kiosk. I also found black sesame rice roll snacks there so I was happy about that too. They have a specific area for lining up for the cash registers so just look for the sign. Definitely will be coming back soon!
