You wouldn't think that item would be hard to find but it was. I didn't want to have to substitute clam juice for my étouffée. They also carry fresh crawdads. The carts were also plentiful and the store had an overall better appearance. Thank you Safeway.

Every time I visited it must have some issues like charge with the wrong price on produce, the service it's always slow and it wasn't enough people to help. Just like today I walked in, asked for the customer service, the lady at the florist she was very helpful, she called for the customer service for me. I was standing there for a while and then the old lady walked in to the office and she even said anything to me, not say hi, not anything and just got disappeared in the office. I waved my hand to the lady at the florist again just to let her know that if you guys too busy I can come another time. And she was surprised that the lady doesn't help me yet and she came knocked on the office, then the old lady came out. I was wonder and asked her why she didn't asked me at all if I needed help, I was standing there in front of the counter. And she said - I have something else to do ....!!! Helloo....human....have you ever been trained in customer service job at all??? Even you have something else to do or in between helping the other, at least let the other customer know that you were recognized them, or at least say HELLO ... Or say something like can you give me a minute, HELLO This SAFEWAY it goes downhill.

They have a huge selection of food for amazing prices. It is the cheapest store in Sacramento even cheaper than Walmart. The cashiers are quick, curt, but polite. They get the job done. Shoppers don't come here for the ambiance just for the savings. You can't beat bananas for 50 cents a pound, milk for $3.25 a gallon. Winco has a huge variety of bulk bins, featuring beans, rice, pasta, candy, flour, nuts, seeds, spices and way more. I have personally saved about $2,450 this year by shifting my shopping for other stores to almost exclusively Winco.

I've seen her be rude to people for being a couple items over the 10, and almost the whole self checkout is empty so what's the point. What really set me off was her gossiping about me to another coworker because I didn't know the difference between squash and she painted me as a thief criminal for a couple cent difference. I only knew because I was shopping with someone else and they were close enough to hear her gossiping at the station on the self checkout. Usually the cashiers at this winco are very nice and I haven't had any issues with them besides this lady. I try to avoid her but sometime with the lines it's impossible.

It is very spacious and they have everything here... even more than the usual markets I go to! I'm very happy to discover this market/deli and I can't wait to go back when I am able to - everything looked immaculate from the amount of frozen dumplings, cakes, ice creams, sides, and hot food. The people are also very welcoming and nice even during a rain storm and for that I'm very grateful :')

Everyone who's worked there was cheerful and the worker who helped me in Bakery was extremely helpful and pleasant. Although her English was broken she tried hard to answer my questions and was so nice. The fresh pastries & breads looked amazing but my eye was in the cakes. Be prepared to purchase by weight rather than price when purchasing these selected items that are a pretty price but worth it. As we headed out I noticed that they had a hot buffet bar with quite a selection of food items. Interesting to the eye and definitely have to come back. They had lots of selections of food and products available in the store. Might want to check out this spot, you might find hidden treasures. Love that this place also was up to date with payment options.

Let me preface that this used to be the closest Save Mart and most convenient place for late night…read moreand regular "Chips runs" that i used to do because some of the deals used to be good. And it used to be ok when i was still new there, but almost EVERY DARN time i went to buy a bunch of chips ( i buy in bulk so i don't have to come back for a while) I would get commentary from the clerks like " oh buyin some chips huh? Party huh? Like chips alot huh? " and while this doesn't really sound offensive and i'm sure they didn't mean it - it is incredibly rude and quite frankly NOT THEIR JOB to comment on what i am buying. I am there to buy and they are there to facilitate this transaction , i don't need social commentary! But this isn't even the worst part... Anyways, i always noticed that this particular store has some " characters" in the form of their employees that are stocking the areas and otherwise monitoring the self checkouts. There is this one guy who is taller, thin , and older looking maybe a little grey in the hair but he is always very strict on the rules, does not give anybody the benefit of the doubt and does not like kids at all... Then there is the Asian lady that works at checkout and is usually chill but sometimes she will also comment on things i buy and pry... So basically with all these interactions from the workers there whom i STRONGLY suspect are Special needs people because they have tendencies that trend toward the Autistic ( i work with special needs kids so i recognize that stuff ) IT quickly becomes a place that is no longer the NEUTRAL space where you get in get your snacks and get out - it is now a place where you CLEARLY get judged for what you order and verbally disrespected... The taller older guy especially gets rude VERY quickly and is not a good representation of a good customer service professional! This along with the fact that Save Mart is not really competitive with ANY store for prices has caused me to AVOID it even if it is the closest store to my house, and that is sad because there are PLENTY of other Save Marts that do a great job with customer service and aren't rude. Good thing there's a new Costco that just got built in the area so you can just skip this place like i do unless you ABSOLUTELY need cold sore cream and CVS is closed! : )
