Well we happened to be in the area so we stopped in and ordered the fried chicken. The people working in the deli area were super friendly and all of the food looked delicious but the fried chicken was AMAZING! We went around lunchtime on a Sunday so the chicken was nice and hot and tasted super fresh! First we ordered two chicken thighs just for a taste but it was so good, we went back and ordered four more pieces. Definitely 10/10!!!

(Specifically - any type of Cider.) There seems to be a trend of unhelpful employees here. Once simple pet peeve, when you are asked where something is, don't point across the store and tell me "over there", give me an aisle, or better yet, take a little walk with me. This weekend we asked where something in the kitchen area might be and were told, (politely)... if we have them they are hanging on the shelf. Cool. Then we found what we were looking for 2 rows over on an end cap. I have never had anyone outright rude, but certainly never had anyone go out of the way to knock socks off with customer service. I don't live in the area, but when I am in town this Walmart serves its purpose.

A decent gas station/corner market with basic necessities and even fishing bait too. With the lack of restaurants around, we grabbed some hot meals for takeout (softshell crab and fish sandwiches, steamed shrimps, etc.) I would skip on their frozen pretzel with crab meat on top. I fail to understand why people who come from far away - used to shopping at Wegman's, Kroger, Whole Foods, etc. - believe that our store should carry their favorite item. While Island Foods now carries numerous brands of organics products, organic produce, and specialty items, they carry bargain and value priced items. This allows them to serve the entire range of customers. Prices are good from low end to high end AND they compare with Food Lion - often carrying the same brands.
