My go-tos are the Cali-style burrito with asada and the Xingones nachos (with extra cheese). Good quality ingredients and portions that are generous enough that I almost always have leftovers. Plus, the prices are fair for what you get.

I ordered a California style burrito to go - no cheese, no sour cream, please. I was surprised that it took a solid 15+ minutes to prepare when the place was basically dead but I figured hey, maybe they hadn't been open that long and still were getting set up in the kitchen or whatever. So I got my lunch and rushed back to work with my burrito in just enough time for a few bites before my meeting. Took a glance at the receipt stapled to my bag and was alarmed to see that it said no sour cream but didn't say anything about no cheese. Cut the burrito open and, yep, cheese. Look, I've worked food service, I know how it is. I know it can be stressful and it's easy to make mistakes when you're busy. The restaurant was NOT BUSY. There was literally nobody else waiting ahead of me. Nobody else came in the entire time I was waiting for my burrito. There is absolutely no good reason that the person punching in my order couldn't have taken the time to read the screen and make sure that the order was punched in correctly. I'm can't eat dairy, I had to throw the burrito away. I'm not the kind of person to make frivolous complaints but this was such an unforced error, and I tipped 25% - ON A TAKEOUT ORDER - for food I can't eat. Now it's 4pm and I just got out of three hours of straight meetings and the first thing on my mind is typing up this review because this legit messed up my day. Xingones management, train your workers better. I'm in walking distance of your restaurant and I'm never coming back because I can't trust y'all to get a very simple order correct even on a slow day. Good luck.

Amazing, I love Off the Grid Fridays! I've been twice so far and each time I leave happy and full…read more The feeling of community paired with tasty food smells and fun music is always the perfect way to start the weekend. There's a great variety of food trucks lined up in front of the Oakland museum. I'm always partial to the Southern Comfort restaurant. I've had their po'boys, shrimp, and heavenly seasoned fries. But I also love when Señor Sisig and anything that sells ice cream make an appearance. Customer service is always awesome and as fast as they can with the amount of people that show up. Highly recommend going to this weekly event at least once!

I got over my fear when Shakeel, the Market Ambassador at that time convince me to come. Even the other Market Ambassador Elon kept me company making sure I was OK at the market. I will admit every Friday Night I am at Off the Grid outside the Oakland Museum of California. I will admit I overdid it by checking out the exhibits at the museum weekly where I made a friend Preston, the Emcee at the Oakland Museum of California. Over 10 different food trucks to chose from. The highest food trucks they had at the market was up to 20 during the summer time. It is worth coming down to Oakland Museum to see all the different food trucks they have. I will admit I miss the past Market supervisor that ran the market (Adam, Alex, Paul, Henley, whomever ran the market that I can not remember their names). Ben, the current supervisor got this market running smoothly. I been enjoying the market. What makes this market to go to on Friday Night compared to going to Fort Mason is discount on museum tickets. You have a museum to go to while getting food from the food trucks. They also have a garden where children can run around in. The live music at the Oakland Museum of California is amazing. It is worth checking it out. This is the market to check out Friday Night.

This place is fire!!! Yes the wait is super long (I waited closer to 30min and they told me…read more15-20min) but if you can't wait that long for good ass food then gtfo of the line. I got the garlic shrimp and noodles and it's so good. It comes with a sauce on the side that is amazing. The portions for $17 are also insane. The plate is huge and could last you at least two meals. Don't come here if you can't do the long wait for amazing food. The people running this are nice but there are only 3 of them serving everyone so be patient and you will be rewarded with the best plate of food you've had in a while.

Beef skewers 3.8/5, good but nothing to brag home about or drive out the way for. Garlic noodles 2/5, overcooked soggy noodles w/ fake butter and garlic, not worth the calories or carb consumption. Shrimp 3.5/5, hot and crispy, crack sauce was mid. Needed more lime. 2 bites and was done. Gave it to a homeless person nearby. Service - Friendly. Wait time was 25-30 min. They need to revamp their menu/food photos. Pretty bad quality and size. If you park on the side road, they will bring it to your car. Not sure why the wait is long, the only thing piping hot was the shrimp. Everything else was just warm. Ambiance - Mural was beautiful. VERY DIRTY picnic table and benches, loud music, and across the street from the bart station. I had high hopes for this place especially it being family owned, but the influencers must be getting free food or something to hype this up because this was not it. There's so many better options in Oak. Sorry won't be back.
