The food here is amazing, I'm a big fan of the grilled or fried chicken, chopped and rolled in sweet chili sauce. It's always smackin'. The drinks on point, and the best part? No cover charge! It's hard not to love a place that delivers on food & drinks. Highly recommend it for game day or any day!

I got the three pieces wing battered. They were fried really hard is why I gave 4 stars. Came out hot though but was just way to hard and crispy for my liking. I had the spicy garlic sauce and ranch to pair. She also suggested the duck & cream cheese wontons. Which were also good. Just only gave you 4 so to me the portion and price point didn't match. Other then then everything else was good. Jameson and ginger is my go to and it was done right. Really hard to fuck that up but everything was good. Plenty of TVs if you want to watch the games. So ambiance was good. I would definitely recommend.

The tomato sauce was spicy, the pita bread underneath slightly crunchy. Two perfectly over easy eggs on top was a party in my mouth. My friend ordered a side of millionaire bacon. It was not very crispy. She said the regular bacon was more crispy and flavorful. I ordered the basic scrambled eggs, cheesy grits and andouille sausage platter. It was yummy and filling. The prices are reasonable. They also serve coffee, teas, sodas and boozy cocktails. Since it was brunch we ordered mimosas. There was a mix up and the server forgot to put in the appetizer, but Ana and the manager were extremely apologetic and made up for it. They have live music but sadly not on the day we were there. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, since the surface lot is shared between 3 restaurants. The company also owns and runs the restaurant next door called the Walk-in. It's super cute and open late night. Zee, the bartender made us a couple of Hugo spritz's- which were perfect. When in Jackson, this is a definite stop. They also serve po boys and other yummy sounding entrees. Reservations are recommended.

I Ordered a cup of seafood gumbo (no rice-hate rice in gumbo) and it was good. Just a tad too salty but it had plenty of shrimp and sausage and good flavor. Would definitely get that again. Ordered the Tres Leches French toast and decided I better get the half order due to the gumbo. It was two pieces of Texas toast so that was a good call, as I barely finished my plate. It didn't require syrup due to the chantilly cream and cherries. I really enjoyed the taste of it. The bacon was the thick kind, similar to Wrightes Bacon, and was cooked well too. I won't complain about service since it's a holiday. My server was actually pretty good but it did take a while for my food to come out. I'm glad I finally got to try the brunch at Hal and Mal's and look forward to trying other dishes.

Great Legos on display, a cool "game" vibe, and very friendly staff. The food was also really good. The chili cheese tots were excellent. The tots were crispy and the chili and cheese were delicious. My chicken sandwich on Texas toast was also very good. The pickles they put on this sandwich, along with the garlic mayo, really add great flavor, and the toast was buttered and perfectly toasted. The pizza was good and you can add extra pepperonis if you want, for $1. They have tons of board games and card games and even a few video games for people to play. They host gaming nights, apparently, which is cool. The service was also really good. They asked if we wanted water to go, and without asking, they brought a small to-go cup of lemons, since we had lemon with the water we had with our food. A very nice touch. It's an interesting place in the middle of Mississippi that is worth stopping at if you're passing through around lunch time.

Fortunately I had our trusty fly repeller thingy which kept them at bay. Although I do think the restaurant should invest in those wall mounted fly gizmos as I did see a wasp or two as well. Be careful out there! Now as to our friendly server Allie M , she was kind , quick , and attentive. We each had the brewery's Mr Sippi pilsner was tasty and more importantly cold!
