    Cool vintage cameras!
    Carrie C.

One of the new shops/galleries located in the mezzanine of the Spring Arts Building (above The Last Bookstore) - collectively known as the Spring Arts Collective. Fold Gallery & Curio Shop is tucked away at the end of the row, but worth the walk and find. It has cool vintage items (that are reasonably priced) like cameras, greeting cards, bowties, McDonald's Peanut gang (Snoopy) glasses, etc., houses the owner's "found art" and other artwork, as well as other artists' collections.

If there is a place in Los Angeles where magic still exists, it is at Fold on the 2nd floor of The Last Bookstore.

This was a great thrift store for specific Western, lo-Cal vibes. With a sprinkle of military garb…read more I thought the holdings were pretty sparse. They did have great, authentic silver and turquoise. Service was unenthusiastic.

Raggedy Threads is my favorite vintage store in L.A. - no contest. Don't let this tiny little store…read more- located in a tiny little corner of Little Tokyo - fool you: It's like a treasure trove of rare finds. I've been on a huge vintage kick lately, so this store has been my go-to source for old tees. My reasons for going vintage are primarily environmental since the carbon footprint and resources needed to make new clothes are substantial - and incredibly wasteful when there's so much awesome used clothing out there. Another reason: Your friends can't copy your style. Most recently, I picked up a few tees from the 1970s and 80s. Being in L.A. they get a lot of local and California vintage shirts with logos, designs, and jokes that only true Californians would get. I couldn't resist buying a Castroville "Giant Artichoke" tee they had over the summer. Personally, I tend to gravitate towards regional finds like these because they bring back such great memories of my youth and of family road trips up and down my home state. They also carry old college (Go Bears!), high school, and everyone's favorite - summer camp tees. Plus, you cannot beat the vintage fit from the 70s/80s. Caveat: Today's "S" is equivalent to an "M" or bigger because people were presumably thinner back then. So do your part for the environment and look effortlessly stylish doing it by shopping used and vintage! And there's no better place in L.A. for this than Raggedy Threads.
