Called Mike Ward about a problem between the city sewer line and my house. He came when promised and stuck with it until the line was cleared, way out near the main. Price was fair also. Would definitely call Ward again for any plumbing issues.

Mike happened to be in the area and was able to come right away which was a very welcome surprise. I thought that I would have to have the septic system pumped out. Mike took a look at the problem and identified that it was nothing more than a completely clogged drain. He cleared the clog - which was a massive clog - and told me how to take care of it myself the next time there was a problem. He was professional and courteous. He was not inexpensive but not outrageous considering that he was able to come promptly and addressed the problem. Should I have septic problems again, he will be the first person that I call.

Part 2: The day…read moreafter posting the previous review, I received another call from that Anchorage Alaska number (Tim). He told me that he saw my post and had no idea that Luke had done this. He and Luke had quite the showdown in the office. He wanted to make good on HIS estimate and would be out in two days. Upon arriving at my house he informed me that Luke had been fired and that they were doing an in-house investigation on him to see if he had been doing this for awhile. The company also discovered that Luke is the brother of the owner of a local competing chimney sweep business and that Luke might've been trying to way over-bid jobs so that people like me would go with his brothers company. Tim completed my job at a cost that was way below his original estimate. I appreciate people like Tim who want to take the time to make things right when there's an obvious wrong. Tim said that Ron (owner) was in agreement of his "fix the problem" attitude and this reflects greatly on the integrity of this company! I will NOW continue to use the services of this company and I hope that Tim gets a big fat raise for this! Tim definitely has a servant's heart and got $20 for his pocket from me for his trouble. Thank you Tim! Also, thank you to Ron! As for Luke (Where ever he is now), he can pick a cheek, pucker up, and kiss my ass!!!!!! It feels good knowing that I got an evil, greedy SOB fired by exposing him!

Bob and Corey came out and Corey was very patient with me while I learned how to clean the stove. However, when we got up this morning, the stove would not work at all. After waiting until 10:00 AM to call them, I was told there is no one to come out until Monday. We have never had such poor customer service in an area before moving up here. The people are nice but the service is what customers rely on when doing business. After cooler heads prevailed the problem was solved and they provided excellent service. We are very appreciative and will continue to do business there. Thank you.

Beware! We started with Northside thinking they were a reputable company, but after the horrible…read moreexperience we have gone through I will never use them again. First, they installed our water system and the hot water kept going off. It took them 5 visits to finally figure out they wired it incorrectly. Meanwhile we had no hot water for days at a time. At the same time, they connected our radiant floor system and apparently chose the wrong sensor wire for the zone in the garage, because we now have a freezing cold garage in the winter, meanwhile the thermostat reads 70 degrees. Their installer also removed all the labels I had on the other 14 zone sensor wires, so now it's going to be a huge challenge to find the correct one and correct their mistake! We also hired them to inspect our electrical, as we are owner/builders, and wanted to make sure we had everything hooked up correctly. $4000 later we were told we could close our walls and everything was "good to go". Ha, not in the least! Unfortunately, we discovered later - after we had hired a contractor to drywall and paint all the walls - that their electrician had missed that the entire west side of our house didn't have power run to the outlets! When we called Northside to let them know that 15 outlets had no power, Mark stated that he would like to send someone out to check what's going on. We specifically told him that if they were going to charge us for the visit then don't bother coming - we had already diagnosed the problem. Mark told me that we had already paid for this service, and there would be no charge to send someone out. Two days after they came (for 5 hours), we got a bill for almost $800. We tried to discuss it with Mark, then Jeff, thinking it was maybe a miscommunication with their billing department, but we were told it was not a misunderstanding, but rather that we were 100% to blame for this problem and the charge was valid. They further threatened to sue us and put us in collections if we didn't pay the $800. They were rude and dismissive. Obviously, they didn't care that we were good-paying customers up to this point, nor did they care about torpedoing any professional relationship we (mistakenly) thought was there. If you actually decide to use this company make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing, as the owners, Jeff and Mark, have proven to be very untruthful, claim to be far more professional than they actually are, and what they say is a far cry from what they actually do.
