She gave me her personal cell number the day I graduated so that I could reach out in case I panicked on the day of my state exam. I did, indeed, panic the night before. I thought I would have my eyes covered with a slice of cucumber at the very least, but that didn't happen. Nevertheless, it was quite relaxing. I left feeling greasy after the oil blend, so would probably try another service next time. Keep in mind that they are students performing the services which means they can't receive tips by credit card. I made that mistake and didn't bring cash. Will know better by next time!

I'm very picky about my eyebrows and admittedly had doubts about a student's ability. My uncertainties were put to rest when Laney brought me back to the room. Her warm demeanor and smile immediately brought a comfort to the appointment. We ended up having a great conversation while she painlessly pulled the hair out of my face. (Seriously though, this was the least painful wax job I've ever had!) My eyebrows are really thick and it's not uncommon for them to end up slightly uneven after being waxed. Not this time! Laney did a beautiful job and truly put care and effort into her work. Though small parts of my face did still have wax on it when I got into the car (I didn't notice until later), I don't really have anything bad to say about my appointment. When she started cutting, I even said she could take a little more of the dead hair off, but to still keep it mid-length. Instead, she kept cutting until my hair turned into a shaggy, choppy mullet -- uneven short layers on top of my head, choppy short bangs, and random pieces missing. I ended up losing around 12 inches of hair, which I never asked for or agreed to. Both women I worked with were very kind, and I truly appreciate that. But someone should have stepped in -- especially the supervisor. People working there were giving me looks like they could tell something was going wrong, and it made me feel sick. It felt like everyone around me could see the disaster unfolding, and no one stepped in to help or correct it. I'm also really bad at confrontation, and I know that's something I need to work on. But by the time I realized just how much she was cutting, it already felt too late to speak up. I don't know anything about hair, so I was really trying to trust the process because she seemed confident. And hair looks different wet vs dry, so I kept doubting myself. I wasn't trying to be difficult -- I truly didn't understand the severity until she finally turned me to the mirror, and by then it was already a choppy mullet/shag. What makes this even worse is that this happened the day after another stylist (who was also nice) left highlight foils in my hair for six hours, which absolutely fried my hair. The first image of my hair -- that's how it looked before all of this. I know now it was damaged, but it still felt silky, soft, and healthy enough that I could run my hands through it. The girl who did my highlights completely fried it, and then instead of repairing it, the next stylist kept cutting shorter and shorter like that was the only answer. I used inspiration photos that still had length, and I even said I wanted to keep mine longer than the inspo. The last photos show what I actually ended up with, and it's honestly horrible. Nothing I asked for -- trim dead ends, keep it mid-length, soft curtain bangs, face framing -- matches the choppy shag/mullet cut I was given. I feel like nothing I said was listened to. And what breaks me the most is that my hair won't grow back by March, which is my birthday and the military ball I'm supposed to attend. It also won't be grown out for my graduation and Engagement photos, which I was really looking forward to. I don't have $4,000 for extensions to fix this. I genuinely don't know what to do, and I'm just so sad. I've never felt this heartbroken over my hair in my life... This has ruined my self confidence badly. For some reason they keep deleting or taking my review down it keeps disappearing which is not okay. I've spent about six months growing it out now and it's so dead and fried that's barely grown. Monthly check-ins from the owners, which were promised, did not occur as described. The daytime class would often share training or experiences that were not provided to the evening class. During my training, I also experienced inconsistency in instruction due to instructor changes and disruptions, which impacted the continuity of learning and preparation for the state licensing exam. After completing the program and becoming licensed, my experience working in the esthetics field has not aligned with the expectations presented during enrollment, particularly regarding career stability and outcomes.
