I'm very picky about my eyebrows and admittedly had doubts about a student's ability. My uncertainties were put to rest when Laney brought me back to the room. Her warm demeanor and smile immediately brought a comfort to the appointment. We ended up having a great conversation while she painlessly pulled the hair out of my face. (Seriously though, this was the least painful wax job I've ever had!) My eyebrows are really thick and it's not uncommon for them to end up slightly uneven after being waxed. Not this time! Laney did a beautiful job and truly put care and effort into her work. Though small parts of my face did still have wax on it when I got into the car (I didn't notice until later), I don't really have anything bad to say about my appointment. Each person working was kind, accomodating and professional. The building itself was very clean (one employee was even spot cleaning between customers) and did not have a strong hairspray/chemical smell like some places. Overall Everett Beauty School, you are a class act. I will definitely be returning :).

The student hairstylist was attentive and warm, and she did a great job communicating my preferences to the instructor. Toward the end of my visit, I also saw the students celebrating their graduating classmates, which was fun to witness. Although the results were not exactly what I had hoped for, the team did a good job communicating throughout the process, and I appreciated their efforts.

(SUMMIT STOP REMOVING MY REVIEW) I'm honestly devastated. I asked only for a trim of my dead ends,…read moreto keep my mid-length, keep my face-framing pieces, and add longer curtain bangs. When she started cutting, I even said she could take a little more of the dead hair off, but to still keep it mid-length. Instead, she kept cutting until my hair turned into a shaggy, choppy mullet -- uneven short layers on top of my head, choppy short bangs, and random pieces missing. I ended up losing around 12 inches of hair, which I never asked for or agreed to. Both women I worked with were very kind, and I truly appreciate that. But someone should have stepped in -- especially the supervisor. People working there were giving me looks like they could tell something was going wrong, and it made me feel sick. It felt like everyone around me could see the disaster unfolding, and no one stepped in to help or correct it. I'm also really bad at confrontation, and I know that's something I need to work on. But by the time I realized just how much she was cutting, it already felt too late to speak up. I don't know anything about hair, so I was really trying to trust the process because she seemed confident. And hair looks different wet vs dry, so I kept doubting myself. I wasn't trying to be difficult -- I truly didn't understand the severity until she finally turned me to the mirror, and by then it was already a choppy mullet/shag. What makes this even worse is that this happened the day after another stylist (who was also nice) left highlight foils in my hair for six hours, which absolutely fried my hair. The first image of my hair -- that's how it looked before all of this. I know now it was damaged, but it still felt silky, soft, and healthy enough that I could run my hands through it. The girl who did my highlights completely fried it, and then instead of repairing it, the next stylist kept cutting shorter and shorter like that was the only answer. I used inspiration photos that still had length, and I even said I wanted to keep mine longer than the inspo. The last photos show what I actually ended up with, and it's honestly horrible. Nothing I asked for -- trim dead ends, keep it mid-length, soft curtain bangs, face framing -- matches the choppy shag/mullet cut I was given. I feel like nothing I said was listened to. And what breaks me the most is that my hair won't grow back by March, which is my birthday and the military ball I'm supposed to attend. It also won't be grown out for my graduation and Engagement photos, which I was really looking forward to. I don't have $4,000 for extensions to fix this. I genuinely don't know what to do, and I'm just so sad. I've never felt this heartbroken over my hair in my life... This has ruined my self confidence badly. For some reason they keep deleting or taking my review down it keeps disappearing which is not okay. I've spent about six months growing it out now and it's so dead and fried that's barely grown. I've done everything in my power to reach out they got back to me but have been ignoring me completely now

Monthly check-ins from the owners, which were promised, did not occur as described. The daytime class would often share training or experiences that were not provided to the evening class. During my training, I also experienced inconsistency in instruction due to instructor changes and disruptions, which impacted the continuity of learning and preparation for the state licensing exam. After completing the program and becoming licensed, my experience working in the esthetics field has not aligned with the expectations presented during enrollment, particularly regarding career stability and outcomes.

My hair stylist Sophia was very attentive to my request and careful in washing, cutting, and styling. The instructor checked constantly and made a few small changes to my layers. I recommended thinning since my hair quickly grows thick, and Sophia immediately fixed the cut. For the quality, price, and attention to detail, the haircut was amazing. The only downside is the long appointment time (I finished near 5:30), but it was understandable since the students needed to check their plan and each step with the instructor. I would 100% come back and recommend customers here.

Warning: I would be very cautious booking color services at the Aveda Institute…read more I arrived early for my 1 PM appointment and was initially told I wasn't even on the schedule, which immediately set a stressful tone. Once I was eventually taken in. It took over 40 minutes after the consultation for the student to begin working on my hair because they were still writing notes and preparing their sheet. The service itself felt inconsistent and poorly managed. I understand this is a training environment, but there seemed to be a lack of structure and time management throughout. My color turned out chunky and stripy, and it was very obvious that at least two different people worked on my hair because my original stylist needed assistance mid way through the coloring. One side came out significantly more orange than the other, and it honestly looked like I had months of grown-out color. After my hair was washed, I was told they "didn't have time" to finish with a blowout. Instead, I was given a card for a complimentary blow dry for another visit, which I was fine with and they said we'd do a rough dry. Since it was 6, which was closing time the instructor stepped in to "rough dry" my hair. There was no product and they did a few passes. I left with my hair about 90% wet. I was shocked that they allowed me to leave the appointment in that condition. Not until I went home and fully dried my hair was when I noticed that my hair cut was uneven. My original 1 PM appointment didn't end until around 6:15 PM. I later emailed them about the experience and, after escalating it with multiple people, they brought me back 2 days later for a correction appointment, which took about 3 hours. I'm still not fully happy with the result, but it will have to do for now while my hair recovers from being processed twice within 48 hours. Overall, I would strongly advise having very low expectations. I would not recommend getting your hair colored here. A simple trim might be okay, but even that feels like a gamble depending on who you get.
