After thorough testing, Dr. Miranda determined that my tooth had normal sensitivity and did not need a root canal after all. What impressed me most was Dr. Miranda's honesty and attention to detail. She explained that because the root is so close to the nerve, attempting a root canal could very likely cause permanent numbness in that area of my face. Instead of performing an unnecessary procedure, she took the ethical and professional approach and advised against it. Like other reviews I was told I had to pay in full or set up a payment plan through one of their payment plan options. We have three insurances to cover my son's dental. I set up the payment plan for a service in April it is now August. Primary insurance paid (in-network) which reduced the total amount owed from 4,400 to 1,400 per my plan. Secondary insurance paid as primary and it has taken months to get that sorted out. I have now paid 1,800 in total (over the price of what primary says is owed by me). Corner stone refuses to stop the payment plan and continues to charge me over $400 a month. They have stated that they cannot contact the payment plan since it's third party to adjust or stop payments. I have verified this is not true with Cherry (the payment plan provider offered by cornerstone). They continue to charge me over the amount primary insurance says is owed while secondary insurance reprocesses and they then send to our third insurance. I have not asked for a refund and understand they need to process through all insurances, however the fact that I could be charged an additional 900 while they wait feels unethical. I have never experienced this with another health or dental provider.

I was in considerable pain, however, the thought of a root canal sounded both painful and frightening. But ... not at all ... no pain or discomfort during the procedure (other than the numbing shot) and nothing afterwards that I couldn't control with Advil. Dr. Brumit is a very kind and professional man. Until now, I didn't even know what an endodontist was. He took the time to explain (and explain again!) my options for my teeth. He gave me the options and probabilities, both of which helped me decide my best course of action. I really appreciated how patient he was because I just wasn't getting it at first. His assistant made certain I felt comfortable and safe, checking on me multiple times before and during the procedure. Very friendly receptionist greeted me immediately when I arrived. I witnessed them taking X-rays of a women who was obviously pregnant with no lead vest. Not that I know that would help. They cleaned my sons teeth in less then five minutes. The interior of the building looks run down and scary. The lights were mostly off. Even in the teenie tiny waiting area. Your knees literally would touch the person across from you if your not careful. Im not kidding here folks. STAY CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE. The only reason I didn't walk out immediately was because it was the closest place that took my sons dental insurance. He is on state medical due to my divorce. After the consultation, I learned I didn't need a root canal--despite having seen two other dentists who said I did based on X-rays and scans. Their equipment is hands down better than most dentists', or at least far more thorough. I didn't think a root canal was necessary because my tooth rarely hurt, only after eating when something got caught in the cracked tooth. I asked for a consultation, and we came to the conclusion that I didn't need one. The staff is very friendly, and I do recommend them. The only downside is that you have to pay upfront, and insurance reimburses you afterward. You need to have the funds available at the time of service.
