So this pains me to update, but I can't say Keith + Associates is 5/5 right now. I had a somewhat nightmarish situation in November when I went in to get four cavities filled. It all started out fine, and after a long appointment I was back out enjoying life, with some fresh fillings. About a day later one of them popped out. I wasn't for sure that was what happened as I'd only ever had one other cavity filled before, but by the time I made my way back in they confirmed that was indeed what had happened. I was assured that this can happen, and that although it's somewhat rare, it's not unheard of. I would have still given Keith five stars at this point, but the same cavity was filled and fell out two more times. By my fourth visit to take a look at the same cavity I requested a new dentist, which they accommodated, and frankly had a much better experience. We are a few months out and so far the filling has stayed in place. The hardest thing for me about this whole experience was that I had no pain going in to getting the cavity filled and it took me months, through Thanksgiving and Christmas, to get this resolved. During that time, it was on and off again painful to chew. What's hard for me with this update is that I really loved the folks that worked on my mouth each time I went in. I really mean that. From the dentist to the assistant, to the staff, everyone here is really great and does their best. I have no doubt they were doing the best they could, it's totally possible that this was a kind of fluke thing that happened. Will I keep going here? Yes. The bottom line is this is still the best dentist I've been to and I'm hopeful this was a kind of one off and that it'll be smooth sailing here on out. read more

I have been going to this practice for over 20 years. I've left them great reviews based on the service that I got at the time. Since their greed took over I have seen nothing but failed service and nothing but excuses. I wasn't even a patient of theirs anymore and they were charging me on my credit card. Also fillings falling out since they were installed over a tooth that was not prepared properly. Going to new dentist open my eyes as to what these greed mongers charge number one what they tell you you need to do which most of the time is unnecessary only because they need to add more money to their pockets to finance their overzealous growth expenditures. My new dentist is very much like what Keith and Wilson used to be and that's why I was there for so long however Keith and Wilson don't represent the quality of service that we used to . am at a loss of clean words to use to describe the treatment that I got, so I will end this review as saying beware beware beware. Also I have called the insurance company that I worked with regarding this dentistry and will have them pull my files since the new dentist has allegedly found some irregularities with their billing and coding which could amount to fraud if it is deemed accurate. I went in for a root canal last July and Dr Brooke Norton left a dental instrument inside one canal, and overfilled with gutta percha in another, leaving me with abscess that is still here to this day. I told her something wasn't right, being in the worst pain I've ever experienced, and she prescribed me pain killers and told me that I will "probably be fine". After several months of pain, several rounds of antibiotics, 3 root canals, 1 root end surgery, a tooth extraction, & 2 bone grafts later ($10,000+) to try to correct her mistake, I am about to begin another year long journey for an implant. People like this should not have their license, infections like these can spread to the jaw and/or brain. I truly pray no one ever has to go through what I have again. read more

I went in for a teeth cleaning and then was told they didn't have time to complete it. The dentist saw that I supposedly needed a root canal, had gum disease, and 8 cavities. Visited this establishment three times since January. First for a cleaning, second for filling and crown, third for cleaning and resolution of pain in the same tooth that three months prior had the filling mentioned earlier. I was told that this same tooth now needed a root canal, at which time I protested that if this were true, it should have been obvious three months ago, and that I expected a resolution to the issue. I was then visited by a dentist that I had not been introduced to, but who (at some point in the conversation) indicated that he is the son of the Senior Dr. Keith. I explained my displeasure with the way the appointment was going. Junior told me that three months ago, when I had the filling, I did not need a root canal, but now, I do. When I protested, Junior offered to have me visit a "buddy" of his for a second opinion. (Did he REALLY think I was stupid to even ENTERTAIN the idea that his "buddy" might agree with me?) I declined the offer. I told Junior about an incident that I had some years ago when Dr Barry Wilsom, D.D.S. was in practice with the senior Dr Keith. I had had a root canal with him. Some time later (much longer than three months), I was having some pain with that same tooth. And Dr. Wilson pulled the tooth at no charge. Junior said he couldn't do that and wouldn't agree to a discount. Reluctantly, and because I was in pain, I agreed to have the root canal. I was also told that the wisdom tooth also needed to be pulled at a later date. I had the root canal done, and settled up with the front desk where I was told that they were not charging me for the CT scan. (CT scan? They knew I needed a root canal ... what was the CT about?) Anyway, I got out of there with NO pain meds and NO antibiotics. I called prior to 8am Friday morning, only to receive a call back at 2:30. Prescription for antibiotics and prednisone... no pain meds. Received a call from the office on Tuesday to check on me, at which time I asked as to why the wisdom tooth needed to come out. The response? It's "so far back that it's hard to clean," and it COULD present problems in the future. Needless to say. I have cancelled that appointment. BTW, I looked up my records to see how much money I have spent since January ... $4,601 In conclusion. Like others who have posted, my husband and I are leaving the practice. In general the service was acceptable. The one issue I had was with the billing department. The person I talked with did not listen carefully to my complaint and just talked over me. As a customer, I have to trust that the provider will work out what is covered and what isn't. This has always been the case with any dentist's or doctor's office that I have used. BTW This was a simple check up and cleaning which my insurance has fully covered up to this point. Evidently there was a failure of communication between my insurance provider and Keith + Associates which created a balance of just under $100. Rather than work it out between them, I was charged. I paid it, but will find another provider even though the service was acceptable. read more

I had been a patient with Dr. Keith for over 20 years. My entire family have been loyal patients at this practice. Over the years there have been a few issues that we've been willing to overlook but after today's debacle it is time for us to move on. With my last appointment the scheduling was messed up on their side not once but twice. Drove out there and was told OOPS wrote down the wrong day on your card. Sorry, we need to reschedule. I was willing to overlook that mistake and continued to give them my business. Until now. On Friday at noon I got a voicemail from the office that I did not check until Friday evening. All the message said was "call us back". It was NOT communicated that if I didn't call in the next 5 hours I would be canceled. By the time I listened to the message the office was closed and I knew I had an appointment first thing Monday morning so no big deal. Was I wrong. Monday morning I left my house early because we were having a severe thunderstorm and I didn't want to be late. I was 2 blocks away from their office and I received a call from the office telling me that since I didn't call them back Friday afternoon they canceled my appointment and gave it to someone else. WHAT? It was literally 9:00 AM the very next Monday. They claim to have sent me several texts telling me to confirm in which I received NONE. In over 20 years I have NEVER missed an appointment. NEVER been late to an appointment. NOT ONE TIME. Pretty sure I signed something saying if I was ever a no show that I would still be charged. So instead of calling me that morning before canceling me you wait until 20 min before my appointment time during a horrific thunderstorm to call me? Then have the nerve to ask me to come back 2 hours later after you gave away my original appointment? The office manager called me back and told me she was not happy with my tone, me yelling at her. First of all, I was in my car driving in a severe thunderstorm to get to your office which was stressful enough and then you call to tell me I rearranged my entire morning for this appointment for no reason and you don't think I should be upset? I value your time enough to be on time on the day that I make an appointment it would have been great if you would value your patients time and keep their appointments, especially those patients who have been loyal to you for over 20 years. I received no text from the office to confirm and you literally gave me 5 hours on a Friday afternoon to call you back before canceling my appointment. Rather than give a very loyal patient the benefit of the doubt that they would show up (because they have NEVER been a no show), you canceled me. A family member have been seeing this dentist for over 20 years. They complained that Dr. Keith messed up their mouth. They didn't give a good report to people who asked about this dentist either. Last year I suggested I may need to see a dentist. They referred me to Dr. Keith. I wondered why would they refer me to someone they never had a good saying about? Being desperate I caved in. Needless to say this wasn't a good idea. I was told I had sever peridontal disease and a tooth that I've been dealing with since I was a kid was going to fall out of my mouth at any minute. I had three cavities that they filled and whatever they filled my teeth with crumbled in my mouth and one of the teeth they barely filled because it was after 5 and everybody was ready to go home. Each time I've gone to these people my mouth has felt worse. This past Tuesday I went in for a cleaning but they suggested I needed a lot of work done. The gum test that I got, the female dentist dug so deep into my gums that I couldn't eat anything for the rest of that day which led into the next day. My gums were irritated and swollen. I think she dug into my gums as hard as she could to get bad numbers on purpose. Their goal is to try to make your mouth seem as if your teeth will fall out any minute. The things I've gotten done within the past year haven't gotten any better. It's like they're making my gums worse on purpose just to keep me having to keep going back to them. They also like to surprise you with charges they don't tell you about until you're ready to check out. For example: they have a in house-whatever they do-for $30. My family member paid that. They then called to say since my gums are peridontal that it was an extra $30. So my family-thinking they didn't have to pay for anything else had to come out of their pocket an extra $30+ bucks. I'm done with this dentist. Several trips and having my mouth feel worse than it was before I went in doesn't renew my confidence in these people. I will be finding a dentist who isn't so pessimistic about my mouth and will help me get healthier gums. read more

Up until my last visit I would have given this office a much better review. Let me start with some background. I've been going here for regular dental care since 2015 and have been pretty happy with my experience. I've encountered professional and attentive receptionists, kind and communicative hygienists and decent dentists. More background: I have autism, auditory processing disorder and mast cell activation disorder. One reason I'd stayed with this practice is they had been accommodating of my need to have no sound or visual stimulation from the TVs they have in the little patient corrals when I'm there. Super helpful! What changed? Well, last Wednesday I went in for my bi-annual cleaning. It was the first time I'd been in since they moved their office up a floor. In the elevator on the way up I noticed a strong smell of perfume, and started to feel sick and confused. Strong odors can be very hazardous to people with mast cell disease. I thought to myself that someone who'd been wearing strong perfume had been in the elevator and was optimistic that the olfactory assault would stop once I exited. But it didn't. I became yet more confused when I entered the practice and the scent remained. And the additional assault of background music began to make it even more difficult for me to think and function. I struggled to enter my information into the i-Pad they now use to update records. A nice hygienist led me to a chair in one of their little corrals, and turned off the TV immediately when I explained my problems with visual and auditory stimulation. But it was becoming more and more difficult for me to speak, because the weird perfume smell still hadn't gone away. I declined x-rays because I'd just had a set done a couple of weeks earlier at a specialist's office. The hygienist left to call that office to get a copy of my x-rays. As I sat waiting for her to return, the scent continued unabated. I was becoming very, very sick and very, very confused. I pressed my earplugs deeper into my ears, as the background music continued its never-ending progression into my sensory consciousness. Then a leaf blower started blaring from outside. Boom! Overload. Meltdown. I'd tried my best to withstand all of the sensory assaults, but my mast cells just weren't having it. All I knew was that my body wasn't safe there. That my immune system and sensory processing avenues were under assault. I ran from my chair with the sole intent of getting out of that office before my functioning degraded further. Away from the scent and sounds that was causing my mast cells to degranulate. From those things destroying my ability to think and speak. Anyone familiar with autism knows that meltdowns aren't pretty. And mine wasn't. I was confused, overwhelmed, sick and lost. I made it through what felt like a maze and back to the lobby. I remember crying out for someone to help me. I'm not high functioning enough to transport myself to my own appointments much of the time, and thankfully my higher functioning Asperger's spouse was in the lobby. He ran to my side and helped me get out of the office that had become hell on earth. A man in an orange shirt had rushed up and I vaguely remember my husband explaining that my mast cells were degranulating because of the scent. I later learned the scent in question was being pumped through the HVAC system! My husband called and left a message to discuss what had happened with the office manager. But now, almost a full week later, his call has not been returned. I feel sad and disappointed. I can't believe this office is pumping poisonous scent through their HVAC in an era of epidemic rates of allergic diseases. I'm sad they won't return a call to engage in dialogue about this. Went to the docs because of the Yelp! reviews, and once again, the Yelpers hit the nail on the head. First and foremost -- if you're a new patient, there's going to be a wait. I had to wait about a little more than a month to get in -- although they do keep a waiting list and will call you if there's an opening. (There just never was one that I could take.) On the day of my appointment, there was road construction at the entrance -- I called the office, and they guided me around it to get to the parking lot (and even helpfully told me to watch out, because "the cops are out today.") Inside, the staff was nothing but pleasing and professional. They did their best to make me feel comfortable, and I instantly knew that they knew what they were doing. (My last dentist... not so much.) The wait wasn't bad at all, the atmosphere was comforting, and the procedure went off without a hitch. Plus, I can manage my appointments and such online. How cool is that? I walked out feeling I'd made the right call -- and promptly recommended them to a friend. They're that good. read more

I'm sad to be leaving, for a dentist closer to home - but that's what prompted me to write a review :) I've been going here since I moved to town in 2006, and have seen two hygienists. I only moved to my new hygienist, Brandy, because my first gal relocated to (South Carolina maybe?) with her husband for his job. We were all sad to see her go! But Brandy was excellent as well! The hygienists all do their own scheduling, so that's very nice - you get to see the same person every time. And they're always very prompt. I used to bring something along to occupy myself in the waiting room, and try to catch up on work, or do a little to-go crafting. But I never had time to get anything done in the waiting room here! Billing was always a breeze, and I feel like I always got the care I needed and deserved! Couldn't recommend them more! OH! And they are pretty online-friendly, which I really appreciate! I moved to a new part of town, which made my North-land doctor even more of a drive. Time to make the leap to a new dentist. Using Facebook, I asked for recommendation. This place popped up twice among my friends. That was good enough for me. I had a tooth that was talking to me and I needed to get in somewhere asap. Wilson wasn't available to look at my problem tooth, so his colleague looked it over. He sent me off to a specialist for a root canal. Although my insurance was in limbo (switching to a new company) and although I was a first time patient and had an emergency issue- the front desk treated me like family. I went back for my first checkup with Wilson last week and it was super easy. The dental assistant was great. Everyone working there are good people. Its a keeper! read more

Very seldom have I ever had to wait more than just a couple of minutes. The staff is friendly and efficient. I went to Dr. Wilson because of Yelp's reviews. He and his staff were great! My first visit I had the very best cleaning ever. Dr. Wilson came in and was very nice. Last night I chipped my tooth. I called and left a message at their office, and got a call at 8:05 (they opened at 8:00), and got in at 8:50. It took Dr. Wilson 15 minutes to fix it for me, and I was on my way. I had a significant problem with one my teeth this year that took multiple appointments and they handled my case with care and very minimal discomfort. I rarely have to wait when I arrive.
