My own,personal, Flynn's saga- After a BMC sleep study revealed sleep apnea, I was asked if I had a pharmacy which I preferred to use for medical equipment. Since this was all new to me my response was to rely on the sleep clinic's recommendations. They chose Flynn's pharmacy to be my supplier. That was a big mistake on my part... To be fair, I should have done my research for a supplier; on the other hand, I never would have guessed something seemingly so simple could go so awry or be made so complicated and difficult. Frankly, the problems began with the BMC sleep disorder clinic staff who, though nice, generally misinformed me about the process of CPAP from beginning to end- to include omitting the necessity of a second and separate titration study. But that's for another review. So, relying upon their recommendation to obtain a cpap machine and supplies from Flynn's pharmacy, I set about making sure I had done everything necessary and was assured that I was all set and would be contacted shortly by Flynn's to pick up my CPAP machine. While I never heard from the pharmacy,at all, my insurance company did- multiple times, requesting authorization to fulfill the prescription for a CPAP machine which was granted immediately. Apparently Flynn's did not understand this and contacted our insurance company multiple times over the next 30 days- to the extent that our insurer ultimately contacted us suspecting identity fraud or some type of malfeasance was occurring with our account because the requests from Flynn's to authorize the CPAP machine had become a several time a week occurrence. Finally, there was a three-way call between our insurance company,Flynn's and myself to make sure we were all on the same page. With that straightened out, my CPAP machine was ready and available for pick up within 24 hours. Except that it couldn't be picked up because Flynn's had not informed me that I needed to schedule an appointment for orientation, which was done via Zoom online. Day of the appointment I was prepared to discuss whatever needed to be discussed; the Flynn's respiratory therapist came on screen, said hello, looked at me quizzically, then asked if I was OK? The question surprised me but affirmed that I was, then asked why she had inquired? Her reply was that I looked angry... I still have no frame of reference for that. I look how I look. It didn't set a great tone for the conversation which was to follow- generally a repetition of everything I had learned at the sleep clinic. With that over, I was finally cleared to pick up the machine, which I made another appointment to do. Almost two months had now elapsed from the day the sleep disorder clinic staff told me I would be sleeping well using CPAP therapy "in a couple days"...Go figure. What I did not know until I picked up my machine was the next hurdle to clear would be the CPAP supplies. If you know you know, but suffice it to say that these are numerous, each with their own replacement schedule. As one example, the most basic component is the cushion portion of the CPAP mask. This is to be replaced every 30 days. The way the Flynn's system for this works is, after 30 days, I would order a new cushion; with every re-order, my prescription would be verified and my insurance would be verified. That process would take anywhere between 3 to 7 days at which point the cushion could either be mailed to me, which would take an additional 3 to 5 days, or I could pick it up at my convenience. Doing some math, given the necessity of verifying my insurance and verifying my prescription with each and every re-order of supplies, the re-ordering schedule would lose something like 45 days over the course of 12 months. Frankly, it became such a morass of confusion and so thoroughly inconvenient that I simply found another CPAP supplier, locally, who provides three months of supplies at one time, a much better system. When I apprised Flynns of this development, and that I would no longer be purchasing from them, I was told that this was not legal and that they would be reporting both me as well as the new supplier do the authorities. I guess there are CPAP police ?? For the record, this system is perfectly legal and generally the norm. Bottom line- I would not recommend Flynn's pharmacy based upon my experience. I would recommend that you do your own research. If I had taken the time to have a conversation with Flynn's pharmacy initially, I might have saved myself both time and frustration. read more

Customer service and snotty attitude. I feel very uncomfortable when I'm in there and they stare at you like your an alien

I used Flynn's because I like to support local businesses. But after years of getting prescriptions at Flynn's, the staff has become so inadequate, I'm switching to a CVS. Every time I call or go in, my prescription can never be found. No one seems to communicate from the front counter to the back. I play phone tag between them and the doctor's office to find the weak link and it's always Flynn's. It shouldn't be this hard to get a prescription filled. The last straw was when the staff suggested I may be at fault for my lack of prescription. "Did you do xyz... because we may not have gotten it if you did". Meanwhile my prescription was there the whole time and still hadn't been filled. Sad and disappointed to switch over to a chain. RIP Flynn's and the hours I will never get back trying to work with them. read more

For one month my husband has been trying to get a new c pap machine. Back and forth with excuses and blaming the doctor. This place is ridiculous They should know how important a c pap is Very very frustrated with them read more

I was so impressed by the kindness and helpfulness of the CPAP/sleep apnea department; I called with an urgent question for a specific part I had forgotten while traveling. Although they didn't have it in stock, they consulted with several of their respiratory therapists to help me find a place where it was in stock, assisted me in getting the contact information, and did so all around closing time. It was so kind of them to help me out late in the day, and I was so grateful. read more

Very pleased with the pharmacy part of Flynn's, but couldn't be more displeased with the sleep apnea department. I've had to deal with them for several years and each time I've had to wait 6-8 weeks to get my supplies. Excuses range from the doctor didn't send the prescription to the notes were missing to they didn't receive their order. This past prescription was sent while I was sitting in my doctors office while we were discussing how some of his other patients had similar experiences. Of course, they didn't receive the order. I would give the sleep apnea department minus 5 stars. read more

They took mad long just to tell me I couldn't get what I needed. They were very careless.

Steer clear. Got a new piece of medical equiement from them. Their tech was great. At least I thought she was. She got everything together for me. I found an error on their delivery ticket, so she updated the ticket with the correct charges. I was surprised that it was going to cost me less than I thought and I was happy because I buy all of my supplies online, rather than from them because they are too expensive for the accessory supplies. 2 months later, I get an invoice for another ~$180 in charges that no one told me was coming. When I called them to discuss, I was told that it was because I had a deductible left and so the supplies had to be paid for because my insurance didn't. On the delivery ticket, they had already charged me a fee for what my deductible didn't cover and it wasn't an extra $180. No explanation of why they didn't tell me about what I would really end up paying. Had they told me, I would have declined delivery and bought it much cheaper off the internet, not using insurance, since I would have paid less that way. They technically didn't lie to me, but they didn't tell me the full charges even though we were discussing the costs and then their billing person told me it was my fault for not knowing my deductible. No recognition of the fact that they never told me that there would be more charges nor why they didn't charge the full amount the first time around. Will never buy anything from them again. Seems to ride the edge of being a scam. They should have been more up front about the full costs. In either case, you can pay much less online without being told its your fault. read more

I haven't seen any great customer service. You gave my doctor's office a hard time and I get false promises of service. I'm done with you.

Always professional and helpful in every way. Its nice to deal with a privately owned pharmacy where the pharmacists actually know you. Its the "Cheers" of pharmacies.....where everyone knows your name! read more

I will be reporting this store to the Better Business Bureau. Flynn charged me $168 for a nebulizer that normally would cost $32. They are clearly taking advantage of the dire circumstances and profiting at the expense of vulnerable people. This business is predatory and needs to be exposed for this despicable behavior. read more

Flynns is not a professional pharmacy it neglected to give me my medication due to not being able to pay my copay these are life threatening medication but they dont care I tried to charge copay but they refused read more

Flynn's focuses on pharmacy and durable medical equipment, not on nail polish, cosmetics or lawn chairs. We went there to get help with a brace that was falling down and the pharmacist stopped what he was doing, came out and worked through possible solutions and products before settling on a recommendation. He wash emeritus with his time, friendly and best of all, his advice worked! read more

I had stopped here to get boxes of gloves which I use to clean houses. I got about 13 boxes, which I brought to the checkout and asked the girl for a larger box I might put them all in, and she was not enthused, So I told her it was alright I could manage without. But her obvious problem was not my request for the box but for a separate receipt for each of the items. She stated how it was' ridiculous'.... (Please do note that this entire time there was no one else behind me in line.) So, In the sincerest way possible, I apologized, and told her I could go somewhere else if it was an inconvenience. Thinking perhaps the apology of my putting her through such an immense task would have mitigated the situation... But being I had been looking for gloves and been to several stores already, and living 25 miles away.. I was selfish.. and asked if thats what she really would rather.. is me to go elsewhere to make this purchase. She literally told me yes. And reluctantly started to cash me out. I handed her the cash, and she dropped the money onto the counter, rather the into my hand. Over, and over, and over, and over and over and over and over, and over, and over, and about the tenth box I could not stand this behavior. And told her I did not want the others. I was very upset leaving, and decided this was not right to treat a customer like that, and asked to talk to a manager. A man did speak with me, telling me she must be having a bad day. And she had 'asked; for the work as she didn't have any college classes that day. And he was going to send her home. (It was funny how I was actively seeking a little help with light house cleaning...someone who was capable and who might like to make some extra money @ $25.00 per hour. I just had to add this as an example of opportunity missed. By treating people badly.) I would NEVER treat anyone this way. All I can do is wish her luck in life. She is going to need it. I never did go back. This did not happen recently. A couple of years ago. Don't know if shes still employed. But I realized I never did get to vent. So here it is. read more

In the past, I have had good experience at Flynn's. Recently, however, I have felt that both the quality of service and the level of concern for clients have declined. I found the staff in no hurry to help me when I was in need of medical equipment, and I felt as if I had to keep calling in order to get the process going. read more

Arrived at the pharmacy at 8:55 am (they open at 9:00 am) to drop off a prescription for my grandmother who had just gotten out of the hospital, after working unexpected overtime at my job. First, the door was locked. Seconds later, a pharmacy employee comes to my right as I'm letting out an angry sigh and says ''we open at 9! Still have a few more minutes!" and goes inside. Mind, it's cold enough out to be snowing. You'd think that at least out of common decency they'd open their doors a little early to someone standing out in the cold... which they did, three minutes later. An older gentleman finally let me in and took my paperwork for me, never asking what I'd want done with it. I then proceeded to stand in front of the counter for 10 minutes with the staff deliberately ignoring me (just as they had done while I stood outside), and one woman actually waited on another customer who walked in after me before even making eye contact. Disgusting customer service! Just assumptions that I was taken care of! Had to wait until the RX was actually filled an on the counter with the staff member asking for payment to instruct them that the prescription was to be delivered and billed to the credit card on file. Twenty minutes of waiting for that simple bit of instruction! I won't be able to convince her not to use this sad excuse for a pharmacy because they're the only ones who deliver (at a $2 charge per visit), but I know I won't be using or recommending them in the future, and I'm a trained pharmacy tech! read more
