On July 27, 2026 a technician from Flynn-Aire arrived at our home to conduct a yearly maintenance on our central air conditioning system. We were concerned as we watched the technician and asked him how long he'd been with Flynn-Aire. He answered 8 months. ( for this level of expertise we paid $350) After a cursory check on our system the technician said everything was fine, and he left. Two hours later we went upstairs where to our horror water was dripping from the unit in our attic along the ceiling, onto our carpeting and into our chandelier. After two phone calls Flynn-Aire dispatched a second technician who glued the pipe that had been damaged by technician #1 and told us we would be contacted by Flynn since they had "a Sheetrock Guy" who could repair the damage. And then - crickets. No call from Flynn-Aire. Today is August 7, we have repeatedly called to speak to the owner, Bob Von Hagen, but he obviously has "Colleen" running interference and we have not heard from him. We have pictures to support our statement. We leave the decision on whether or not to use Flynn-Aire for your air conditioning needs to you. Count us as a former client. read more

Had someone come out because my central AC was not cooling my upstairs during the higher temps in the previous week and I wasn't sure if the system was running well due to just having moved in. Paid about 200 dollars to have one of their techs come out and they said the system was fine and I might need another unit to pick up the slack, but the tech said he's not as experienced and that someone else would have to come and look. Seemed like an excuse to charge me an extra 200 dollars, but I said sure, having just moved and wanting to get this resolved. When I asked if they would schedule me, or if I had to make an appointment, the service kid said he didn't know. They never reached out and I decided this was the last time I was going to deal with them. All in all, they really weren't helpful and I feel like they never really made an attempt to resolve my issue. I'd look elsewhere if you're looking for service. Spoke to my neighbor and he had a similar experience. It seems like they've fallen off over the years, from what I'm hearing. read more

For service, these guys have been decent. Reasonably responsive and knowledgeable. But, I tried for over a month to get details and a final quote for two replacement AC systems in my house as my existing ones both failed (old York units which worked for 34 years... no complaints there). After many many emails, phone calls and various promises and excuses... after a month still no final quote. And over a week after getting what they might think passes as a final quote, no calls to follow up. Go elsewhere for new installs. read more

I had my Lennox Air Conditioner installed in 2013 by Flynn Aire Unfortunately, the Air Handler Unit, specially the evaporator coil used copper instead of aluminum which caused leaks and loss of cooling . A class action lawsuit was filed against Lennox and was settled by Lennox. Never did Flynn Aire, a certified Lennox dealer, notified me that this was the case. It is now to late to file for reimbursement. After asking Flynn Aire for an estimate to replace the air handler and asking to have Bob Hansen the owner contact me, I did receive an estimate but no call back after 3 attempts. The estimate was almost double the cost of my other quotes I was able to contact the owner by e-mail and I was extremely disappointed with his comments. Updated 8/10/20 I was contacted by Flynn Aire who explained that they had a change in staff and emails weren't being received. They stepped up and fixed everything at not charge and provided a service agreement. The visit went well and we were up and running with no issues. The system works very well and the guys were great. The consult went well, everything up to the install was great. Honestly the install guys were nice guys. After they were done we found some pretty sloppy work. I called a few times and never got a call back. It's been a year now and. I matter how many emails and calls, no one wants to fix what's wrong. I had asked for a dehumidifier when we contracted Flynn-Aire but they said we don't need it the AC would handle that. They oversized the unit, per two engineers, and we have a constant humidity problem worse then before. I called and asked for a quote on a dehumidifier and I am willing to pay for it, but no one calls me back. They never sent my service agreement and I called about that as well, no response. read more

BEWARE! I had a service contract with Flynnaire for approximately 7 years and never had to use it until recently when my furnace would not turn on. I called Flynnaire and after 2 days in the cold it was repaired. Part of the service contract is a 10% discount on parts used. Unfortunately they lied about the brand and charged me $350 for a $143 par. When I questioned Donna about it she said she will "see me in court if I don't pay" Nice customer service! These guys are crooks. Owner , Bob Hansen does not return calls. They were hired to put in centaral air. Never completed job to satisfaction. U3 years later still not working properly. Never returned to correct situation. Your better off with an oscillating fan in 120 degrees then letting these guys work on your house. Run away form them!!!!! Worst customer service ever. They were more than happy to install two new central air units and get paid immediately. But since then they have canceled appointments, sent technicians that were unfamiliar with the equipment, sent technicians without the proper equipment to repair the equipment. They promised me first appointment at 8:00, I was then told another customer was more important than me and I'd have to wait. They did a decent job installing central AC in my home in 2015. Afterwards, my relationship with them took a nosedive. They don't return calls. They cancel appointments either the day before or day of the scheduled work. And they don't offer any apologies. I don't know if this is due to new management, or if I just lucked out with the AC installation in 2015. No matter what, I won't be dealing with them any more. read more

Wow...first of all it wasn't the furnace system that was the issue, it was the pipes that you installed, which I tried to explained to Matt several times. The first issue we had was the connection that wasn't tightened properly and the second issue was the sealant you used on the pipes that didn't hold up I don't try to extort money from anyone, you on the other took money from a customer and didn't do the job correctly. I never threatened Matt to give me $1,000 I asked for SOME of the bill to be paid NOT the whole bill. And for your information, the bill didn't even total $1,000, so Matt is making up an amount. Bob, if you got on the phone and spoke to me as I requested several times you would have known that. And as for me screaming on the phone - Matt wouldn't let me get a word in and constantly interrupted me every time it I tried to speak - he kept talking over me, so yes I did raise my voice, but I wouldn't have to have raised my voice if he would taken a moment to listen. I had to call your company twice to get a phone call back for this issue. I called you the day the plumber was here and your admin said she would relay the message to one of the Bob's, I never got a call back that day. When I spoke with Matt after my second attempt to reach you, I told Matt that I wanted SOME..NOT ALL....SOME of the bill paid and requested that I would like your company come to my home and look at the lines again since this is the second time this happened. Also, I don't threat anyone, I reviewed your company on a situation that happened to me and for others to be aware, and when I have a good experience with a company I make sure to recommend them as well. So here's my story dealing with Flynn-aire . You can draw your own conclusion as to how you would rate their company. On June 28th I called for service on my a/c condenser. They were very nice and we set up an appointment for Thursday June 30th. It was $99 for the call plus parts and labor. I needed to be at work that day so my brother-in-law was home. Frank came on time and started working on the unit. 2 hrs later, he charged me $300 and left. When I got home the a/c was still not working. My brother-in-law was told the office would give me a call. I called the office that afternoon and was told they didn't have the day's tickets yet. I called Friday morning July 1st and was still told they didn't have a ticket yet. Knowing we were approaching a holiday weekend, I called again around 12pm with the same result. When I called at 1:30 I was told the service man was off today and I was being rude. They actually hung up on me! I was frustrated that my a/c wasn't working with a holiday weekend coming up and I couldn't find out what work if any was done. I was not rude. If anything, the woman answering the phone needed a crash course in customer service. Finally at 3 pm I got a call directly from the service tech explaining that the unit was very low on refrigerant. He didn't fill it because he believed there was a leak. "Did you try to find the leak." His reply was no because it was too involved to do that day. He said the office would get in touch with me next week. I was left with a holiday weekend with company from out of state with no a/c . I still don't know what I paid them for. Needless to say they never contacted me that next week. I called another service and they had me up and running on the Saturday of July 4th weekend . Flynn-Aire is the best! Last week I had 2 men from Flynn-Aire in my home for the whole day. They installed air conditioning units in both floors of my house. I was impressed immediately with Max and Matt, it was a drizzlely day, they both wiped their feet many times before they entered my home, and continued to do that through out the day. They were quiet, efficient , very neat and always respectful of me and my home. In contrast to other workers I have had in my home, their was NO cursing. They were a total pleasure to have in my home. Once the units were installed Max went over the operating instructions with me and my husband and said if we have any questions to please call, he would be happy to answer anything for us. We now have a totally cool home. The units are working perfectly just as promised by Bob who gave us the estimate. They are whisper quiet. We have been customers for over 10 years. They always give us prompt service. They installed our air conditioner, boiler, and new furnace. Whenever we have had an issue, they have been quick to respond. Prior to installing a new furnace, a pipe froze and burst in our basement. Started central air system in our home and realized there was something wrong. Our "normal" service company since went out of business so we called Flynn Air as a local resource. They said that they had a service person IN THE AREA and could send them over to look at the unit. The service man was in the attic for no more than 10 minutes and said that we needed a new motor for our air handler. He said it would cost approx $700-800 and he wrote up a ticket for the visit. $70 for labor PLUS $99 TRAVEL TIME! My husband questioned this item and the service man said that this would not be charged again when they come back to fix the unit. Being in a predicament, he paid the man. A few hours later, my husband received a call from Flynn Air saying the unit would cost more like $1800 PLUS LABOR! This would amount to over $2K...much more than the original estimate. We proceeded to call other air conditioner companies and had the job done for $1500 ALL IN. After calling Flynn Air that we felt the travel charge was not fair considering they had a service person in the area and they were not hired to do the work we asked for a refund. The only person I have been able to speak with in their office has been Monica. She says she speaks with the owner Bob and he says that this is a "normal fee" but again I can not get through to Bob to ask for the credit. Monica also said to me "We have to make a living so we can not refund the travel charge". I understand needing to make a living but already paying the service person $70 for 10 min of their time PLUS $99 travel fee is completely unfair. Our experience with this company has led me to write this review in warning other potential customers that they are OVERPRICED and not fair in looking out for the customers best interest. read more

2/26/18 had Mitsubishi mini split installed $4100. System didn't work properly. Was told to give it time to heat up the room. Many calls later, serviceman had to order a part for the condensor unit outside of the house(something was cracked). After part replaced, unit still not working properly, not getting warm. Several calls later, I was told that there was a problem with the blower (unit inside the house). After more calls and pics and videos to be sent to Mitsubishi, I was told Mitsubishi will not replace new unit, only the part, but Flynn will install a new blower and absord the cost. 4/13/18 new blower installed this morning. Gave it time, room still not getting warm. Called them and another serviceman will be stopping by today. Almost 2 months since 1st install and $4100 was paid and still have no heat. Bit the bullet and decided to put in CAC in Oct 2016. We must have priced out half a dozen places and Flynn-Aire, while not the least expensive, gave us the most bang for our buck in terms of unit size and efficiency for the price. The rep who visited our home was very accommodating and took the time to help us understand the sizable investment we were making. Installation couldn't have gone smoother and the guys were professional, quick and very clean. Happy to support a local company and very happy with the work. Would highly recommend! read more

If I could give these ripoff artists a minus I would. My wife paid $10K for a new air conditioning systems for our Splanch in East Northport. Found out within a week that a friend's brother in law paid $7.5K for the exact same installed system. System has shut down too many times to count over the last two years due to a poor installation The pan keeps cracking and the overflow switch shuts it down. Wife paid for a service contract and renewed it just before we sold the house to make sure the new owners were taken care of. She specifically asked if it was transferable and was told Yes. Now the new home owner has called me saying that the system overflowed and leaked through the ceiling and Flynn Air says the service contract isn't transferable to the new owner. NEVER HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR. POOR INSTALLATION AND NO SUPPORT TO FIX IT. read more

If I could rank them any lower I would. I set up a appointment for new installation on Wednesday night between 5-7 . I called during the day and confirmed appointment and no one showed up. I called them and the service guy called be back and said appointment was rescheduled. The next day I called them and they had no idea way no one showed . They were apologetic and asked me if they could to my home on Friday between 12-2. I confirmed appointment on Thursday and guess what Friday came and they never showed up , so I called and I was advised he would be there by 2:30.....they did not show up read more
