Even if those options were not beneficial to him. He is a great chef and really understands the business and what customers want and enjoys what he does. His food is great(and wonderfully priced!). I recommend going to his tasting if possible, the food and the location( a winery in TC) was wonderful. I couldn't have been more pleased with Larry and his staff at Chef's Pride Catering!

I have heard of their food from friends and happened upon them at an event in St. Johns. They served up a full menu of brisket, burnt ends, pork, ribs, and chicken. They also had an apple slaw and loaded mashed potatoes, along with their signature sauces. It was all delicious. I had their meats taco-style, one chicken and one pork with slaw and a spicy crema (sour cream). The meat was so smoky with a robust flavor that wasn't salty. The slaw and cream amplified the flavors of the meat, and didn't distract from it. Before leaving, I picked up a plate of what was left, chicken and burnt ends. My partner ate some last night after the drive home, and I just finished some (24 hours later). The flavor is still spot on, and the meat is still tender. The owners of this BBQ joint seem to love what they do. They do it very well. I can't wait to track them down again.
