Jared and Nell are an amazing team and I cannot recommend them enough. Nell was quick to set up showings (even on the same day) and was always honest about what she thought of the location. She always had a great rapport with the selling agents and ensured that we knew everything we needed to about the place. On many occasions she found out vital facts (such as "no dogs allowed") and saved us from wasting time on the location. Once we found our home, Jared leaped up to put in an offer (he called us within minutes of us expressing our interest). He worked up the numbers and helped us determine our first offer. Based on his recommendation and research, we can in much lower than the asking price. After a counter-offer that took a negligible amount off asking, we lost hope and started looking for new places. However, Jared didn't quit on us. He helped us work up a best and final offer that was still well below asking. He submitted it to the selling agent and, after what seemed like an eternity (10 hours), the seller accepted! That was only the beginning of Jared's and Nell's hard work. We used a non-traditional loan (VA), which is not often seen in the Chicagoland area. Jared didn't shy away from that and instead put together a team (lender and attorney) that has does such loans in the past and would be in the best position to know what to do. Throughout the entire process, Jared was our point-man. Be it a legal or banking question, he would ask the proper person and get us the information in minutes. On more than one occasion, I was texting him a question, only to receive the answer before I ever hit "send." After a contentious and bureaucratic process, we had to push our closing back almost two weeks, right up until our lease was going to end. Jared ensured that we wouldn't need to live in a hotel and worked tirelessly (seriously, I don't know when he sleeps) to ensure that we closed before the end of the month, WHICH WE DID! I will say that the only downside of working with Jared and Nell is that, after the home-buying process, we will not be in contact with them as much. My wife and I just closed on our place - after more than 18 months of looking, searching, dormant phases, open houses, changing minds and changing criteria - several places, sometimes multiple showings - because we wanted to find the best place for us - and they get it! I would never associate a first time home buying experience with being easy and stress-free, but through the help of FlyHomes and Jared, it truly was. There is a lot to navigate throughout the process, but Jared and his team made it a lot less difficult by being on top of things every step of the way and coordinating with all parties that are involved (as I found out, there are a lot!).
