I received a confirmation text with a status update on our bus about an hour before our reservation, which put my mind at ease! Our bus arrived promptly and made our drive easy out to the lake. We got off the lake about 10 minutes early, and our bus hadn't arrived yet, but I received a quick reply from the main number as well as our driver, and he arrived 5 minutes after our scheduled departure time. My boyfriend (whose birthday we were celebrating) and his friends rent party busses often, and this is the only time they can remember the bus showed up as scheduled and/or didn't have any mechanical issues. They take an old un-airconditioned school bus, and outfit it It is a hot miserable experience in warm Texas months. Extremely unreliable. Had a party bus booked, driver was an hour late and then cancelled last minute. Now 40 people are out a ride as well as concert tickets. Fly Rides asked us not to leave bad reviews but let's be honest - they are shady and unreliable! Now all 40 of us are stranded in a parking lot missing a concert we paid money to go to. UPDATE: The owner of the company, Scott, was extremely apologetic and called all of us personally to apologize and offer a refund. However, he proceeded to badger me about changing this review on Yelp. I added the update that he resolved the issue but he found me on Facebook and messaged me multiple times about the fact that the review only had one star. He claimed that I was losing him money by the minute by leaving a one star review, and sent me multiple messages that started to feel like harassment about changing it. I refused to change the star rating, and he told me he made a deal with our event organizer that we would only get refunds from the bus that didn't show up if we all left good reviews with 5 stars. It became so inappropriate that I told him to stop contacting me and to report it to Yelp if he really felt it was unfair. Now it makes sense why Fly Rides has a 5 star review... the owner pressures customers into leaving perfect reviews even after a major mishap. Totally unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. Horrible experience! Booked Flyrides to transport guests to and from a hotel and wedding venue and the bus was so HOT that my guests were physically ill and could not attend the wedding. Guests refused to get back on the bus and actually called UBER to transport them to the hotel so they would not be in the horrible heat on the bus.
