I am now just some dad and a tech worker. This store could not be more targeted to my demographic. We make enough money to buy what we want and this store has the best items. Thule racks, Patagonia, Vuori, etc. Knives, axes, jackets, ski boots, flasks. Everything every man could ever want. I bought a Patagonia jacket and some stuff for my son. My kids, my wife, even my 80 year old parents spent 30 minutes and $300+ dollars in here. It's a fantastic store. It's a bit of an interesting location being next to the beach but if I lived in Santa Barbara I'd be here once a month. Most Staff were friendly, some were young and not too social but helpful. Come here. Love here.

Could hardly believe so I went to the register and sales person did a confirmation price check. It is also their online price. No emergency so at that price, I'll wait. Went home and found same part on Amazon at 2 pieces for $14.99, or $7.50 per (see attached pics). I understand the need to support local brick and mortar retail and also am willing to pay a small premium for the convenience of obtaining a needed item "right now". However, this mark-up is straight up consumer gauging. Sure, they have every right to charge what they wish, but this doesn't work for me. How about you?

As it turns out, all of the harbor seals, and sealions have names. We befriended one named Steve, he is much better at swimming than I am. He also taught me secret techniques to paddling. We had a fun ferry ride to the islands and even got to slow down to watch a large Sunfish (Mola Mola) snacking on some jellies. I recommend getting in line early to secure the best view seating on the ferry. Our kayak guides, Chuck and Adam, were exceptional--knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made the entire trip both fun and informative, while ensuring we always felt safe and well cared for. We were fortunate to have perfect weather and warm water, which allowed us to explore all seven sea caves--many of which are inaccessible during high tide or rougher conditions. It made the experience even more special. Having lived in Santa Barbara for 22 years, this was my first time visiting the islands, and it was truly unforgettable. The pristine landscapes, abundant sea life, and even spotting several tiny island foxes while enjoying our picnic lunch, made it an unforgettable adventure. We can't wait to do it again--highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and exceptional experience!

Definitely time for a review for the Eco Store now that we've completed our 3rd project with them!…read more I remember when The Eco Store opened up years ago in Oak View. It was such a pleasure to see so many potential home improvement projects, all in one place, and that all inspired a better way of living at our house. Our first project with the Eco Store was a gray water system to move abundant shower water out to our plants and gardens. That felt so good that we then did a second project with the Eco Store. They created a simple and affordable rain water catchment system that now gives us enough water to completely water all of our plants, gardens, and even our backyard grass areas! Now we've just completed a salt-free whole house home water filtration system that gives us high-quality drinking water throughout our whole house, and allows us to NOT have to dump salt into a tank every month. Working with Erica at the store is always a pleasure. She is super knowledgeable and very helpful. She makes a large variety of household soaps and sells them at the Eco Store. That makes it so we are re-using all of our plastic soap bottles! We've done a lot of home improvements at our house with various contractors. LeVon (owner) cares about your house, provides a professional installation, and seems to know everything about conserving energy and water at your house! Working with him is like having a good friend over your house. But when he leaves, you feel 100% better about your house, and how you are working with nature to support the house and it's water needs. I know they work with electrical needs at your house too... maybe project #4 in the future for us!?!? It is always a pleasure working with The Eco Store! We highly recommend you visit their store, talk with them, and get inspired!
