He was really worried about his hair not growing out nicely but I told him that he's received this haircut multiple times before by other groomers. Little did I know that because my dogs breed has a double coat, cutting into it will cause the inner coat not to grow out. Thank you for teaching me about my dogs coat and what is best. I appreciate the transparency and care you have towards the care and needs of our babies. Now for the experience: Louis came out looking fabulous! He smelled amazing and I could tell they treated him nicely. They left his tail fluffy which I loved. Any style or cut you're looking for this place can do it! A little on the pricey side but it's worth it for our fur babies!

To be honest, I felt pressured to write my first review just to receive a discount, which already didn't sit right with me. I usually prefer to wait until I've had a few visits before leaving feedback. At the time, everything seemed fine the cut was good, and I liked how the master groomer handled my dog. However, during my most recent visit, I specifically asked them not to cut my dog's eyelashes. (Was growing them for a photo shoot) When I picked her up this past Friday, they had clearly cut them anyway. This was upsetting because I gave clear instructions, and they were ignored. I called to address the issue, and while the person on the phone did apologize, it felt very dismissive more like "what can we do for you?" than genuine concern. There was no real accountability, and it felt like it wasn't taken seriously. Over the four visits I've had, I've also noticed a pattern of upselling services and pressure tactics. On top of that, I've been told that tips given to employees don't actually go directly to them, which is very concerning. What really sealed it for me was being asked, after leaving a 4-star review, why I didn't give 5 stars. There was no appreciation just expectation for more. Because of all of this, I'm changing my review from 4 stars to 1. Honestly, if I could give zero, I would.

They always went out if their way to be gentle and take their time with her, letting her hang out and air dry when needed, which we greatly appreciated. We just took our new standard poodle puppy, Rita, there for her first grooming. Prior to bringing her in we had stopped by with her to discuss how she would be groomed and ask numerous questions, being our first poodle. Chris gave us lots of information and held Rita, getting her used to the facility. Chris also has poodles of her own, another bonus! Rita looks beautiful!!! They were gentle with her and played "pass the puppy" to make her experience positive and get her acclimated to being groomed. We can't be happier with our SPAW experiences!

I definitely didn't feel I was dealing with amateurs in any way. I have a Bouvier & a Yorkshire terrier - they did a fantastic job grooming them both & haircuts matched breed styles perfectly. Particularly with a Bouvier it's not uncommon to have her come back with some weird sheepdog look! On top of everything, they were cheaper than Petsmart & other places I've tried. Seeing the reviews so…read morefar, we decided it was fine to take him. we were wrong once we found out my beloved baby boy was BLEEDING. Uncontrollable. Unsanitary. Disrespectful. I understand that people make mistakes while cutting hair, but the fact that they did not double check him to make sure everything was up to standard disgusts me. They did a fine job anyways I guess, but be sure to double check your dog when you leave... UPDATE: he is in pain. Now he has a cone on his head and is dizzy. His tail is now shaved and he is uncomfortable. Unbelievable that they did not make sure he was clean and ok. Absolutely no warning about the cut at all.
