Wow! Beyond unprofessional and I cannot even believe people like this is playing with children's wellbeing and parents' emotion without thinking long term consequences. I wish I can give no star if this was an option. On August 2nd, 2022, I got a call from Fluens Speech claiming that they will remove my child from the service because the insurance has not forwarded them the check despite being mailed to them on July 14, 2022. Instead of working with the parents, they flat out made a threats that if I didn't provide them with CC right away to "take care of the balance," their hands are tied to conitnue treating my kid because the boss told them not to take my child. I got upset. I reluctantly gave them my CC because I did not want my child to stop progressing. In the same week, they were forcing me to sign up for the Occupational Therapy without getting a referral from the pediatrician. They claimed my child will benefit extremely because she does not concentrate. After asking whether we needs referral from physician, the therapist said, "yes you may or may not and pay out of pocket." Indicating that that's what they were hoping I would do. On August 5, 2022, an intern tried to take my kid to the therapy room. I have seen this intern before but never gave the permission for her to conduct a solo therapy on my child. I stopped the intern. Asked if the primary therpist is joining them. She replied that the primary therapist will only supervise and will join eventually but not conduct the therapy. I was never informed of this arrangement. So I said I did not feel comfortable. Subsequently, I spoke with the owner. Owner claimed that she was aware of my negative experience with inexperienced therapist and would make an arrangement accordingly. On August 9, 2022, the Owner calls and cancels our service all together claiming that I "disrespected" the therapists by pointing the above incidents, and that I described another therapist by her apperance as I could not remember her name. In May 2022, when my child was initially evaluated by their therapist, the bilingual staff demanded my child to call her "Ms..." instead of "teacher, " which she uses to address all her therapists, and teachers. I did not say anything to that therapist as I was aware of her cultural expectation. After the evaluation, I told the receptionist that I would rather not have my child have ongoing session with this particular therapist due to what I have observed. During that progress, I did not remember the therapist name, and described her as "bilingual Hispanic therapist." Today, apparently, Jessica claims that was offensive and disrespectful because I described this particular therapist by appearance. When asked other incidents, Jessica was unable to name any. She just repeated that my child can continue therapy elsewhere as she already made an arrangement. When I called the new places she "arranged," the next available date was in January 2023. Not immediate. She just caused my child to be left without any continuing therapy. Because she got caught doing something without consent from parents. The consequence of her action is disgusting because she obviously does not care about the children's well being and only sees them as a dollar sign. Oh just to give you background why I didn't want this therapist to see my kid, she is four. Not fourteen, not six, coming to see them for speech issue and the therapist spent about 15 minutes trying to scold my kid to call her Ms. not teacher. My kid got so stressed she ignored the therapist. Which is why I told the clinic I did not want her to continue with my child.

They were referred to us by the cardiologist team. We scheduled evaluation for speech and OT with them. I had to cancelled the appointment twice and each time it was because my daughter has to go to the hospital. Once she was back home, I called to rescheduled and they said I need to be sure that her conditions is stabilized and I will not cancel again. I said she has heart disease. She will be in and out of the hospital. I can't guarantee if I won't cancel in the future. They told me they can't have me as a client. That's perfect because there are plenty of therapy options around. I do not need their business..

Scheduling was easy, as was submitting the intake form and they got me in quickly. The parking was easy, the facility was not only clean, but beautifully decorated and such a friendly and inviting place for kids! The speech room we were in had fun toys and our ST made us feel at ease. We then went over to the OT room which again, was beautifully decorated with fun Disney characters, an amazing cocoon swing that my son just LOVED, and more fun toys. The bathrooms are also clean and very kid friendly. My son who is usually scared of public restrooms felt right at home. We had a wonderful experience here and only wish Seattle had something like Sky Bridge!

We had a horrible experience here. My 2 1/2 year old was seen here for 9 visits (2x a week for…read more30mins) and she never once did speech therapy with him. What she did do was watch from her chair (and talk to me about gardening, her children, and other patients) as he played with her toys. She said she was letting him warm up to her, but that never happened. He is shy, but not that shy. If you play with him, he will do almost anything for you. I suggested many different things but she ignored my requests. My background is actually in Speech Therapy so I feel like I know what my son needs (help making sounds and saying words) and what she did (possible vocabulary exposure?) is not even close to what he needs. We are switching providers. She also gossips about her clients. She talked to me about other parents and their poor parenting styles. My son has a limited amount of words that he can say, but he can point to (identify) almost everything when asked. One day she was alphabetizing cards while he played and I tried to get him involved..."Hey look as these cool cards" He was immediately interested. She said "What's this?" He just stared at her. (duh it isn't a word he can say) she does this repeatedly 5 more times, then tells him. "Well you just don't know anything do you? You are just like this boy I tested the other day, he didn't even know what a banana was. Can you imagine that? His mother has never even given him a banana to eat." Our last session, he was playing with a magnadoodle. He drew 2 suns and said "2 sun" which was a huge thing. I made a big deal about it. She said nothing. Then he went on to point to each sun and say "Mommy sun, Daddy sun" another big deal. She didn't even let me respond before she snatched the board from him, him screaming "No NO No", then she erases his hard work while he cries "daddy sun!" and she says "Now wait a minute, I want to show you something" she tries making a day/night scene and he tries to scribble it out. "You are just a hard headed boy, that's ok until it prevents you from learning" She then tried to tell me she was going to show him day and night. I was in shock as we left. We will never return.

If you ever find yourself needing inpatient rehabilitation, this is the place you want to be…read more I stayed at Virginia Mason-Franciscan Rehabilitation Hospital following surgery, and this experience played a major role in my recovery. This rehab hospital gave me a safe, calm, and genuinely caring environment to heal physically, emotionally, and mentally as I adjusted to changes in my function and prepared to return home. What stands out most is the people. Every person I interacted with, from front desk staff to nurses, CNAs, therapists, doctors, and case managers, treated me with empathy, patience, and respect. I never once felt rushed or dismissed. I felt cared for at every level. My occupational therapist, Beverly, was phenomenal. She brought incredible energy to each session, explained what was happening with my body, and used a wide range of tools and exercises to help me regain function. More importantly, she made it feel safe to try, adjust, and try again. Hiro was my main physical therapist, along with others including Alicia, Stephanie, and Annie. Hiro has an exceptional way of helping you feel relaxed and supported, even when the work is challenging. Physical therapy sessions felt encouraging rather than intimidating, and I gained real confidence in my balance and walking because of his approach. Dr. Wang and Corrine managed my medical care, and I always felt listened to and supported. My speech therapist, Abby, was also outstanding. Her work focused on real life transitions and helped me think through what life would look like after discharge. It felt like return to life therapy, not just speech therapy. My case manager, Lindsay, made the discharge process smooth and stress free. She coordinated appointments, handled details, and ensured everything was in place so I did not have to worry about what came next. The nurses and CNAs were exceptional. Names I remember include Bridget, Shane, Kristen, JoJo, Sarah, Courtney, Daryl, Anne, Rachel, Albert, and Ebony, along with many others who showed the same level of care. Their support was personal, attentive, and deeply human, which made a meaningful difference during a vulnerable time. The facility itself is excellent. I had a private room that supported my healing and gave me space to practice independence. The rehab gyms are outstanding and well equipped. The food also deserves recognition. It was genuinely good, and nutrition is clearly treated as part of the recovery process. I also want to thank Julee at the main desk, who was consistently kind and welcoming during my early mornings and helped me ease into each day. This hospital gave me the space to rest, recover, and rebuild. If I ever need inpatient rehabilitation again, this is absolutely where I would want to be. I am deeply thankful to everyone at Virginia Mason-Franciscan Rehabilitation Hospital for their care, compassion, and support.

Weird because EVERY receptionist in ANY other kind of medical care I've ever spoken with has given me a basic idea how long it takes to make appointments- "about two weeks", "about three months", "usually a month or two", etc.) Sometimes they even schedule us an appointment we can cancel in case our insurance doesn't cover the appointment. Why withhold that information about appointment times? Why be snotty? She basically said we should be seen on post as we are military. I've moved 7 times with the military and both my son's have had hearing loss since birth. I've only had to be seen on post in two of those locations. Also I had a referral from my son's pediatrician. She didn't even know what insurance I had!!! I pulled over at a parking lot and cried because she was like sandpaper to talk to. It almost ruined my day but then I realized that she's probably such a sad person inside she couldn't possibly understand that someone besides herself may be having a hard time and in that moment she could have been someone who genuinely wanted to help. I almost felt she doesn't want business for the audiologist or maybe the audiologist didn't want new patients being scheduled that are military. Maybe she resents her job? Either way, it rubbed me the wrong way and if the face of your business isn't a good one, why would someone even want to go there? Needless to say, we'll be finding a new audiologist.

We have had both good and bad experiences with ACES. In general they are very much like other similar services that offer "behavioral" therapy services. It is tough to sum up our experience in a review of this nature but I will say that you may or not get a great therapist to work with your child. Every child is different and every therapist is different. I think the key to success is to find one that matches your child well and to not be afraid to voice your cares, concerns and opinions the supervisors and BCBAs. I feel that ABA consulting firms in generally realize that ASD and autism are popular, revenue generating disorders and that they have found a niche in providing services for families. Bottom line, ACES have been good for us, not great. I realize this is the fist review for this company, and as time goes on I will most likely update and revise my review. Take your time but not too much time. Your child's success is the most important thing, just remember that. If things are not working for you, seek out more in life and what people have to offer. Do not settle on a therapy services just because they are the only ones offered in your area.and if they are, don't be afraid to speak your mind and tell them what you are looking for, for your child.remember that they are working for you and not the other way around, you should never feel like you are privileged to have their services. They should feel privileged to be your client, and should treat you as such, always.
