The patience and care these people have for the little ones is amazing. I don't know if they still allow it, but before COVID they'd let the parents sometimes sit in and watch/join in on the classes. I never did that, but heard from other parents/guardians that they loved that it was an option. I would pick my daughter up and she would consistently tell me about the awesome time she had and the stories and things she'd learn. I'd highly recommend this preschool to anyone looking for one. Something I'll share is that the snacks/drinks/utensils are done on a rotation with all the other parents/guardians. Meaning one week you'll have to buy snacks & drinks for the class and then in 2-3weeks (depending on the size of the class) you'll have to do it again. We were more than happy to help, just thought I'd mention it for this review.

I love that they only take 4 babies at a time and have lots of toys and books for the babies to play with. I don't know about the other rooms since I had to discontinue my son's care there when he turned 1 due to a change in our work schedules, but I would definitely recommend the infant room. If we ever need full time care again I will look into using this daycare center. The other benefit is that they are very affordable if you are a cash paying parent. The office staff is also very friendly and I really did like the director, whom I believe is Jessica? The ONLY reason I give 4 stars is because if the normal infant room teachers are out (which rarely happens.) They have to use subs - which they could use a little bit more training I feel. Most times the subs were awesome though. Its just hard leaving your child with someone new and who doesnt know them well.

We just pulled our daughter out of there because they aren't even pretending to apply a curriculum for pre-k. They're babysitters, now, and not even very good ones at that. Most recently, we found soiled clothing stuffed into her backpack with her other clothing, sheet, and blanket. Not in a bag, just right into her backpack which now is soaked with urine. My four-year-old doesn't often have accidents, but good lord, what lazy, thoughtless person thought this was ok? During the pandemic, staff was supposed to be masked. Almost daily, either on dropoff or pickup, there were staff seen in classrooms or in the office (the part parents and kids walk though) either completely without a mask or the mask pulled down. Every time I brought it up, I was told that they'd "mention it in a staff meeting" or confirm that yes, it is their policy for staff to mask up. Regardless of your views on masking, the fact that they just didn't enforce their own policies that are supposed to be in place for safety, is unacceptable. The owner, Tom, also spread misinformation during the pandemic regarding masks and other preventive measures via signage posted at the center and at the summer camp location. This place started going down hill quickly when the director (a couple of directors ago, I think) left. Andrea was the last good one, but it was clear that she was being hamstrung from actually doing anything good there. I know it's tough finding a child care center these days, but please, if you have the option, look elsewhere. I'm sure there are other places just as bad or worse, but I no longer trust this place to keep my child safe and certainly not to prepare her for kindergarten. The dozen or teachers who have cycled through that room in the past few months have been uninterested in getting to know the kids, have completely ignored kids who clearly needed attention, were downright mean to kids (witnessed during dropoff on numerous occasions). If you can help it, please trust your children to another center. Also, the five star review that this is updating was written with the promise of a starbucks giftcard. I'm not sure how many other positive reviews are genuine.

We will be continuing to send her to NOD until she's in kindergarten. Teacher Diana is helpful, encouraging and extremely understanding to both the children and the parents. My children and I feel safe and welcome. Because it's a co-op, we have plenty of opportunities to volunteer and give our time as members and to make decisions that shape and form the school.

As it's a "co-op" these responsibilities and duties fall onto the parents, there is no paid staff besides the teacher, who gets paid minimally and works hard, to provide the children with the best possible preschool education at a affordable price. Its not her responsibility to take home and wash the laundry, clean the restrooms, provide snacks, find substitutes to work shifts when parents don't show up, etc.. Its a collaboration of all the parents working together, doing their " assigned" and required "jobs".

I'm glad to say that I have a different experience and hope that others will consider this co-op preschool. I think the biggest challenge with this school (as with any school) is that there is turnover. When the oldest class graduates and leaves for Kindergarten, there is a void that needs to be filled by the two younger classes/new families. This adjustment takes time but with strong leadership, bumps can be smoothed out rather quickly. My 4 year old son enjoys the program a lot. He loves going to school and the teacher is wonderful. The families are amazing and I think that is a big factor -- involved families will make the difference. You can't be a member of a co-op and do nothing -- it will hurt any type of success for the year. An active and cohesive Board makes a big difference too. My son has already enjoyed one field trip and is learning a lot. This class is really preparing him for Kindergarten and as a newly Stay At Home Mom, it's great being involved in his class. I know that two of the classes are full this year but I hope that other families will consider bringing their child here for preschool. The cost is very affordable in this age of inflation. The location is convenient. There is a sense of community; it is a community! To give some perspective, our first child has also been to Kinder care , and Bright horizons. When we switched from Bright Horizons , which is Excellent ($$$), we were unsure if the quality of education and care would be the same. I am pleased to announce, Cascade has exceeded our expectations. So much so that we're bringing out second child to learn and grow here. We are fortunate and enriched because of Cascade. As a parent of a nonverbal autistic child, I am extremely disappointed in the way Kid's Country…read morehandled our experience, especially after a change in leadership. While the previous staff showed care and compassion, everything changed under the new director. What's most troubling is that the director claimed to have experience working with children with disabilities, yet she refused to make any effort to communicate with my nonverbal child. No visual cues, no gestures, no attempts at understanding, just avoidance and blame! Instead of support, I was repeatedly asked to leave work shortly after drop-off, because the staff couldn't "manage" her behavior, behavior that is common for children on the spectrum. My child was even referred to as "wild," which is dehumanizing and unacceptable. They also made it clear that they wouldn't allow her to attend without a one-on-one aide, which they provided no assistance in arranging. Meanwhile, when my child was bitten or pushed by other children, I was rarely informed, but if she had any issue, it was escalated immediately, making it clear she was being singled out and unfairly targeted. This is not a safe or inclusive space for neurodivergent children. If your child has a disability, especially if they're nonverbal or any child period. Please seek a center that not only says they support inclusion but actually practices it.
