Also... they assessed our building hot water tank without hesitation while here as we were experiencing hot water changes. They could have said readily, 'time for a new tank' (it's 7 years old). But they took the time to examine and determined that one of the conduction components wasn't working. So instead of thousands for a new tank, we will have a new component for a few hundred dollars. Hired Corey to install a tankless hot water heater which I had purchased, along with all the…read morenecessary parts. He came out to do it, but said it would take him 5 to 7 hours of time, etc. etc. and was very negative about the reasons why NOT to have a tankless. Corey then said that he had a regular tank at his workplace that he could install. I asked the price to do that, knowing I would have to take a 'beating' on re-selling the tankless heater I already had. He quoted $1500 which I thought was quite high, but I was needing a tank soon as my daughter & family needed the home to self-isolate, arriving in 3 days, so I agreed. I told him to go ahead. It was a Saturday which cost more on labour which I took into consideration, knowing that the average for a 40gal 38000BTU tank with installation was approx $1200. When he sent the bill which was a statement format with no breakdown of pricing, it was in excess of $2100. After much stress (I am a 75 year old single lady), I paid him $1600.00 which would include $100 for taxes. I lost $400 in the reselling of my tankless heater, the cost of hiring someone to fix the issue with the inspection as well as a lawyer. Had Corey been honest, and sent the billing that corresponded to his quote, this would have been a non-issue. I would warn people about using this company, and if they do, make sure to get a WRITTEN quote for services. I
