Lovely little pub. I wish I lived a bit closer, but always pop in whenever I'm in the area.
Stevie, the assistant manager is young, but knowledgeable, professional and personable. She remembers the regulars' names, greets people on arrival and gives everyone a personal service. The other staff are great too. It would just be nice if there were a few more of them so they don't have to run themselves ragged during busy periods, although I've never had any reason to complain.
The selection of ales could be better, but I was happy with what I was recommended. All the food I've tried has been great and the smells emanating from the kitchen are really appetising. read more
