Need to make reservations! Arrived on a Monday evening and the restaurant was crowded. We were seated immediately. Food - ordered squash blossom pizza and the linguine with pesto and garlic. Pizza was very thin crust and delicious! Highly recommend! Service - excellent! Our waiter was attentive, i Ambiance- loved the "cosiness" of the room! Would definitely return!

It was good! Definitely sceney, definitely snobby, but the ambiance was lovely. They had fresh candles on every table, nice glassware, etc. the place itself is beautiful - the patio is more casual and vibey and the inside is more romantic and formal. We were seated inside and ordered martinis, which were £25 each (yes you read that right) but was the best I've had in london so far so I mean...I guess I'll allow it? Would maybe go with wine next time lol We ordered a bunch of dishes: 1. the scallop crudo (£14): good but missable. Would skip 2. The tender leaves (£15) much bigger and better than I would have expected based on other menu prices. More of an entree size 3. The devil pizza (£24): really tasty and easily shareable. Also a good "value" comparatively 4. Fries (£8): very yummy 5. Potatoes (£10): tasty but a bit greasy It was possibly too much food which I wasn't expecting. Overall the food seems to be more of a ££-£££ vibe whereas the drinks push it into a higher price tier. It was a bit weird that our drinks were literally half the bill. Service was fine, but they were very clear about limiting tables to two hours (like mentioned it from the beginning) which I thought was weird. Also, I've never been to a nice/expensive place that had a hard mandate on that rule. All in all, it is what it is. I was expecting to think it was wildly overhyped and it was actually better than I was expecting.

Food is fantastic, definitely was a pricey meal. Our waitress gave us great and honest recommendations. Very hard to get reservations, but if you can I highly recommend. Celebrities are commonly spotted here. Ambiance is super fun for birthday dinner or date. Would recommend sitting outside on a nice day. Was a bit surprised by the service there as we had to ask several times for forks and a candle for our friends birthday and for refills of water. Either way, I would not say this was a make or break for us. Had to order two orders of the French fries because wow. Other standouts: chopped salad, vodka tomato pie, oysters, chargrilled ibérico pork.

Food, service and the ambience it's unbelievable, we had lobster it's a must, the Seabass with the caviar outstanding, even the chicken cooked for more than 48 hours

Chiltern Firehouse, known to serve the likes of big celebrities like Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, etc. has an eclectic breakfast and dinner menu, but seems like more of a name rather than a reputable restaurant. I have been here for both breakfast and dinner and the food during dinner is not bad, but for the price, they make their food with quality flavors, but the flavors don't seem to mesh together. Also came here for brunch with some friends and got their famous pancakes with cream, blueberries, berry compote and it was sooo dry and underwhelming. For £15, for a stack of four pancakes, this was so over priced. The pancakes looks so beautiful, but it's nothing more than that. Also, it seems that this place is used to VIP and celebrity diners, so I noticed that they treat other clientele differently and they aren't as proactive with their service. My server was chatting with a group of influencers for a while and barely served me. The only time he came was to give me my food and serve the bill.

A lot of hype- and for good reason! This place was very unique, an old firehouse turned hotel and restaurant. Very cool inside and the porch for brunch looks amazing too. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to seat two on Saturday with no wait. I will say- the service was not the most attentive. They were busy, so it's understandable, but they got my coffee order wrong, forgot a tea order, and our food came out in an odd order (got our main dishes before sides/ appetizers). For the price and the hype, I'd hoped for a bit more. That said, the fried chicken and ceasar salad were SO GOOD.

Is it possible to marry a restaurant? This is hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to -- from food to service to ambiance. Seated at the Chefs Counter, I was able to have a front seat to the kitchen to see the skill and precision that the Chiltern Firehouse team operates (and the most popular dishes!). The restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere -- perfect for a night out. The wait staff is knowledgeable and can read a table very well. Going to dinner with a friend, we just wanted to chat and enjoy great food -- not be bothered every five minutes by a waiter and they seemed to understand exactly when we were ready for plates to be cleared, drinks to be refilled, etc. We never felt rushed. All-around a pretty perfect experience.

The rooms were very comfortable with plentiful amenities like complimentary bottled water, mini fridge, robes and slippers, etc. The bed was so soft and there were a good variety of channels on the television. All staff we interacted with at the hotel were helpful and kind. There was a fire evacuation on one of the days we were there and an announcement came on the loud speaker informing us to leave and staff members guided us to the exit quickly. The buffet breakfast was nice with omelets by request, a variety of hot and cold items (bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, baked beans, pancakes/waffles, fresh fruit and vegetables, juices, cereal, yogurt, pastries). There were servers to clear your plates and provide drinks. We had drinks one evening at the bar and Marco was such an entertaining and efficient bartender. He made our evening memorable and put so much attention into making our cocktails and providing us with information about the signature drinks available. Overall I would stay here again! The location was wonderful and we had a very comfortable stay.

We are so fortunate to have spent four nights at The Langham, using it as our base for the trip. This hotel is steeped in history as the first "Grand Hotel" in London and all of Europe, pioneering amenities that were truly groundbreaking for their time. It's also where the tradition of Afternoon Tea was popularized beyond aristocratic circles and introduced to a wider audience. The Langham is also known for their signature scent, almost like a spicy rose, that we are still thinking about to this day. It is the first thing that greets you in the lobby but is not overpowering; you know immediately where you are. The service we received was nothing short of warm and attentive. Our Superior Room was ready upon check-in and very comfortable. We stayed in briefly to recharge from the jet lag and time change before heading down for Afternoon Tea at the Palm Court, which is an experience in itself. A special shout-out to our server, who was extremely generous with scone refills when my wife had to step away briefly after the long journey. Complimentary tea is also served downstairs each morning in a quick grab-and-go fashion, which gave us the daily energy we needed before heading out for a full day of planned activities and sightseeing. Marylebone is ideally situated in the heart of central London, with easy access to hot spots like Mayfair and SoHo. The London Underground is just steps from the hotel, putting most of the city within about 20 minutes' reach. Shopping, dining, and museums are all nearby, and the Hotel Concierge was proactive enough to reach out before our trip to help book activities. One highlight was the swimming pool, located beneath the hotel in what was once an underground bank vault. We didn't make it to the gym, but we did peek inside and it was beautifully appointed. We are fans of The Langham brand and can't wait to return to The Langham London and explore their properties in other cities around the world!

One year later we were back for a mother daughter trip with another mother/daughter. I originally booked the St Ermins again, but then thought it may be fun to switch it up and stay in a new area of London. A friend/travel agent recommended The Marylebone Hotel, which met all of our requirements: - easy to get around in London - fairly priced by London standards - good shopping/restaurant area We arrived a little cranky from our flight in Edinburgh after a 2 hour Uber from the airport. They greeted us warmly and even told me they had an upgrade for me, although ran out of upgraded for my friend which didn't make her happy. To be fair our rooms were right next to each other and I didn't see a difference so don't think mine was really "upgraded" The rooms like most in London were small. We had 2 twin beds pushed together. It was basically like sleeping in one big bed, but we had our own set of covers which made my 13 year old happy. Everything was very clean and nice, but small. The attached gym was great. It seemed to be a popular local gym so was quite crowded, but if there was room in classes hotel guests could join. I did a leg class one day, which I enjoyed...although got a great leg workout just walking miles and miles around London everyday. The surrounding area was so cute - filled with boutiques (some unique to London and other popular back in the states). There were lots of little cafes to grab a treat as well. We spent a lot of time in covenant garden to see shows on this trip, which was quite the walk but great way to get exercise. And when we returned from the craziness of covenant garden it was nice to be in a quiet area. Breakfast was included in our daily rate. The buffet was adequate and I enjoyed eggs and coffee from the menu. We also received a $50 room credit, which we used to raid the mini bar the last day for some airplane snacks. I thought St Ermins was the perfect pick for my family's first trip to London since it was right next to the tube and near so many sites, but this hotel worked out perfectly for a mother daughter eating, shopping and shows adventure.
