It's a massive space with high ceilings and packed full of items that make unique gifts for you or anyone who enjoys one of a kind items. The selection runs the gamut of jewelry to soaps and body products to stained glass and plants and pottery. Their artists and makers are the ones staffing the shop and are excited to share with you their set up and more about their wares. It's nice to know that the money you spend here, supports your local makers. I've seen them help other customers pick out the perfect gifts and show them different ideas. Their prices are fair for unique goods and it's worth it to support the local economy. This is such a fun shop. There's free and plentiful parking as well. During the farmers market downtown each Saturday, they open early. The people there are so kind and very knowledgeable. I will only buy my indoor plants here! Luckily her studio is in Brentwood so that I could pick up my order instead of having it shipped (shipping would have been ~$42). Lauren was able to meet my fiancé and me at her studio on Labor Day. She also shares a studio with the creator of the customize-able glassware which is so convenient. Everything Box and Bow does is aesthetically pleasing and I really appreciated how thoughtful and detail oriented Lauren is. She had all the ribbons loosely tied so that I could easily add my mini bottles of champagne without having to retie them. She also had the stickers to seal the tissue paper half-on with the backing so that I could seal them myself after adding the champagne. She still took the time to add the champagne bottles while I was there so that she could ensure every box was perfect. I was really happy with how my gift boxes turned out. The whole process was easy and streamlined vs looking for all the individual items myself. Box and Bow offers so many cute customizable options for boxes, cards and gifts for different occasions. One of the items I was buying was a set of kitchen napkins. There were only 4 napkins, even though these sets normally come with 8. There was no price tag on them, so I politely asked the cashier, Linda, if she could compare them to similar items sold in the store. Linda told me the price would be $15. I asked why, since most similar napkin sets there are usually priced around $12-15 for a full set. She replied that this brand costs twice as much. I then asked what brand it was, and she could not answer me. Instead, she simply said, "Are you taking them or not?" After that, a manager came over and adjusted the price to $7.50. I still bought them, although I was disappointed they were incomplete and only had 4 napkins instead of 8. When I got home, I realized these were clearly returned items. The tags and brand labels had been cut off, which means they had likely already been used, washed, and returned by someone else. So Linda completely misled me about there being some "expensive brand," when in reality there was no visible brand at all. The entire interaction left a very bad feeling. Every time I use the things I bought that day, I will remember this unpleasant shopping experience. I honestly do not think I will return to this HomeGoods again because I do not want to deal with this kind of treatment or dishonesty from an employee. I understand mistakes happen, but being dismissive and misleading toward customers is extremely unprofessional and unfair. I left the store genuinely upset.
