I called late in the day before I absolutely needed flowers delivered for my Mom's Birthday, only on the basis I mapped this location was close to her work. The employee who answered the phone was kind and knowledgeable both about the selection of flowers they had (which were a lot) and delivery estimation. End result the flowers arrived right at the time she said they would, and apparently looked just like I had been promised! Their customer service and quality has gone down. I ordered a floral arrangement on a Friday for delivery on Tuesday for bosses day and let the person placing the order know which arrangement I wanted. The flowers didn't get to my boss until 3:3 in the afternoon, every time we called we couldn't get a straight answer as far as an eta. When I called to complain about how the flowers looked nothing like the arrangement I placed an order for one of the ladies wanted to argue with me. They finally offered to send another arrangement of my choice so I chose something in the same price range I had originally ordered and again nothing like what I ordered. This company has the absolute worst customer service on the planet. This is not the old Blackshear's florist that we all remember from growing up in the north shore area. The quality has gone down tremendously. And as I mentioned the customer service is far from what you should receive.Trust me you are better off purchasing from one of the vendors online like 1-800 flowers etc. read more

I grew up in North Shore and remember fondly of Blackshear's making our homecoming mums and prom and dance corsages. When I wanted to get some flowers delivered in the area, I immediately thought of them. I called and spoke with Angel who was so personable and sweet on the phone. She got everything set up quick and easy over the phone. I'd ordered the flowers around 12:30ish and they were promptly delivered around 3pm. It was a nice spring mix arrangement but nothing to exciting. The customer service that Angel gave along with the prompt delivery is definitely the big winner here. read more

My husband's grandmother is in the hospital, and is 1,000+ miles away. I found Blackshear's due to their close proximity to the hospital. The lady who took my order was very friendly. I called when they first opened, and the flowers were delivered by noon. I gave her a price range and told her I'd like a colorful spring mix. Blackshear did the flowers for my bridal bouquet, all of the bridesmaids bouquets, and the men's boutonnieres and they were AMAZING!! I went to Blackshear with some ideas, but they really helped me pick flowers that fit with my budget and were even more beautiful that the ones I had picked. They really listened to what I wanted for my bouquet and made my bouquet memorable for the rest of my life. I had so many people complimenting my bouquet at my wedding and to this day. I was and still am extremely happy with the services Blackshear provided. I would highly recommend them and I will continue to use them for special occasions. I don't recommend this florist. Obviously they are way to busy for more business. I called today to order flowers for my best friend which works at the local middle school. I called to see if it was to late to have flowers delivered today. She ask me what I was looking for. I told her, well her favorite color is purple. She said, we would have to go into the cooler & everyone is busy today. I told her thank you & I would call another florist! Wow! Guessing they are rolling in the dough to not need a new customer. I tried to order flowers for my girlfriend through Blackshear Florist last year. When my girlfriend hadn't received the flowers by mid afternoon on Valentine's day I called the florist. I was informed that they were not going to deliver to downtown this year. I will never use this florist again, and I hope I can save someone else from doing the same. read more

I just want to acknowledge Mr. Darryl from this flower shop. Yesterday(4/23/2018) I stopped by to pick up some roses for my wife to just surprise her. It was no special occasion or anything like that. I get off of work at 6:00 p.m. Well, I called the flower shop to see what time they closed and Mr. Darryl told me they close at 6 and also told me that he'd stay open for me till I got there. So I got there and there he was. I got my flower arrangement and when it came time to pay, their computer was down and he just told me to take the flowers and just to pay him back when I get a chance. That made my day. I wish I could give a minus star because this place is very unprofessional and rude to their customers. I wont ever use them!! When they couldn't deliver flowers to a friends family funeral, my friend called to see what happened to the delivery and asked if the flowers could still be delivered to the family. Not thrilled with this place at all. The first time I used them they used the wrong flowers on a order I placed. When I called to ask why they informed me they were out of the flowers that should have been used in the arrangement. I believe that is something that should have been stated when I placed the order but I gave them another chance because we all are human and people make mistakes. I ordered again for Mother's Day and when my mother received her flowers they looked like they had just been thrown together quickly and were no where near the same as the arrangement I seen online. So, I called them to let them know I wasn't happy and sent them a picture of the arrangement that was delivered. The lady stated she would call me right back and I never received a call but I did get an email stating to call her first thing in the morning. The next morning I call and was told I would be called right back and 2 hours went by so I called again and was rudely addressed by Trish. I don't recommend anybody to use this flower shop.
