We used Kim Thu Florist as the preferred florist for my in-laws funeral, working primarily with Jill and Austyn. Kim Thu did an amazing job on the flowers for the funeral. Despite over 44 orders coming in for our service, they were incredibly professional and communicative, giving frequent updates regarding the expected delivery time, and letting us know of any substitutions that needed to be made. They worked round the clock for several days on the deliveries for our funeral service, yet every single arrangement used high quality, vibrant flowers and every arrangement was very full--they did not skimp whatsoever. The pricing on the arrangements could not be beat. Compared to other florists, Kim Thu's pricing is easily the best in Houston. Additionally, laminated message cards and embroidered ribbons were complimentary--a great value add. They are a small operation that works out of Winford Funeral Home. I do recommend texting during business hours for a call back if they're unable to answer immediately as they are a small business. I found bulk ordering was easiest to do in person rather than online, so I would recommend anyone placing a large order to schedule time to go in to place the order. read more

My whole interaction was quick and seamless. I was able to browse the website for which floral arrangement I wanted. I called and placed my order then paid via Venmo. Barbara guided me in what is typically written on the ribbon that accompanies the flowers. As promised, I received a text with a picture, of the final arrangement, on the day it was delivered. The flowers were quite close to what was on the website. Kim Thu is affordable and reliable. I wouldn't hesitate in using them again. Ordered a spray from their online gallery and got exactly what we asked. Only mishap was they misspelled my name---should've been Vy instead of Vi. The family knew it was me since the names of the rest of my family members were correct so it wasn't a big deal to me. This florist works with the funeral home that coordinated a family friend's funeral I attended this past weekend and they came highly recommended. I wish I had a similar experience to other reviewers as the flowers do look beautiful, and are decently priced compared to some of the other florists I looked at. I texted the business on Thursday and was told that I contacted them after hours and to try again the next day. I texted again the next day and then called several times on Friday and no one responded. Obviously, it was the correct number since they confirmed on Thursday that it was the flower shop but that they were closed. Based on my experience, I recommend working with a different shop, despite the other glowing reviews. read more

The funeral home used this florist. I chose my arrangement ($200) and based on the photo. I chose based on the tropical look since it had anthuriums. What I got lacked the flower that gave it at that look. Nobody was contacted for substitutions since the funeral home did have our contact. She stated that she submitted for roses which I had not approved. If I wanted roses, I would have chosen other arrangements with typical roses. It is the lack of communication that is not acceptable. Furthermore, my name was left out of the arrangement. Another arrangement had the sender name misspelled. The flowers were beautiful but leaving names out, misspelling name and changing the look of an arrangement can take away from the overall occasion. Correction were not offered or anything. I worked in a floral shop so I do know that in this service industry, details are the upmost importance. Gaining a customer trust during sensitive occasion can make a difference. We recommend that perhaps consider other vendors if possible. read more

I have been getting funeral flowers for the past 2 years and they are simply the best!! The prices can't be beat and the work is beautiful. I recently called for flowers late on Friday for delivery early Saturday and they came through for me. Didn't charge me anything extra and even charged me bit less than standard delivery because the funeral home was not too far from their shop. I will not get flowers from any other place if Kim Thu Florist can do it locally. read more

After searching online for funeral flowers- I found this place on Yelp. The other companies were very expensive and added on extra fees. Kim Thu Florist took my call at 5pm on Tuesday afternoon and we had our flowers by Wednesday morning. They did a beautiful job with the arrangement and did not charge us hidden fees. They did a wonderful job for my grandfathers flowers arrangement! Way better than the crap I had originally purchased online that out source to third party companies. It was done within 24 hours. The flowers were fresh, beautiful and lively. Yes they are going to eventually whither away and die but it's the thought that counts, especially to the family members and love ones. Basically you get what you pay at this florist and more. Great customer service. I wish they did weddings.
