Karl was super nice. Clearly knew what he was doing. Did my whole house BY HIMSELF in just a couple hours. He fabricated the gutters on the spot using a machine and materials in his van and then secured the filters. Then, when the gutters were on, he fabricated the downspouts. It is a HUGE step up from the Home Depot DIY job that the previous owner of the house had done. Now, with the filters on it, I no longer have to worry about tree garbage clogging up my gutters every storm and my deck flooding. Well-worth the cost. HIGHLY recommend this guy. I was initially going to have a meeting with the "official" Leaf Filter people until I did some research into the company about how the "estimate" cost is on the whim of the sales person and it's not so much an estimate as a high-pressure performative sales tactic where they start out double, triple, or five times the price they let you talk them down to after "calling their manager". Nothing but terrible reviews about them on the internet. Apparently they change their name periodically to shed the bad rep the company generates. Screw that. Took a $3500 deposit and stopped responding! Currently pursuing a suit against this business. We spoke with Karl first six weeks ago. He said he'd come out and help us the following week. He drafted a contract and pursued payment aggressively. After three days of non-stop texts and messaging and taking a $2641 deposit, he stopped replying claiming he had medical issues and didn't come on site. We didn't hear from him for weeks. Finally he claimed he needed more funds for additional material - $1400, weeks provided half. He again pursued us for the payment aggressively stating that the installation material would need to be ordered for pre-holiday work. Emailed, called to receive payment, then hasn't responded for weeks since we zelled him. He claimed he couldn't offer a refund because he wanted us to be hoot with his work. We are now pursing civil action against the business.
