25' Stream
Jeanette C.

From the beginning Stan was professional and helped my husband and I build our dream stream at home. The whole process was smooth and the water feature itself adds a lot of value to our home as well the quality of life each day we spend outside with the beautiful chechenos of flowing water. We opted for addition pumps to ensure the sound was heard across our property. Highly recommend working with Stan to build your dream water feature!

Kelvin came by several times to make sure he explained the whole process and gave me suggestions and advice to future proof the area. His crew was also hard working, friendly, and made sure everything was cleaned up after each day. I would highly recommend them for all future landscaping projects.

This was my very first time hiring anybody to do any sort of landscaping work. I was ignorant going…read moreinto it so I had to lean heavily into the landscapers expertise on what would be best for what I wanted to achieve. After getting a few quotes, I chose Lee's Concrete because he impressed me the most with the ideas he presented, not being pushy or sales-y, while also staying competitive price wise. He is also officially licensed for concrete. The project started around May 2025, and completed towards the end of July 2025. It consisted of concrete pouring, artificial turf installation, irrigation routing and laying out gravel/river rocks in planting areas. Also, a 2D layout diagram was provided for me to submit to HOA for approval. Below is a list of critiques ranked starting with my biggest letdowns: #1) WEEDS. Not via the concrete, but the artificial turf that was laid out. Lee offered artificial turf installs during my contractor search. My main reason for getting artificial turf was to have little-to-no maintenance. But, mines constantly has weeds growing out of the edges due the gap in the ends not being sealed. My next door neighbor had artificial turf installed by another landscaper and never has any weeds growing out of the edges ever. They had theirs installed after mine. Maybe it was my fault for not communicating that need initially. But at the same time, I thought having artificial turf laid out and it preventing weed growth on the edges would be a given. #2) Blotchy concrete coloring on front yard. My backyard's concrete coloring was pretty consistent and I was very happy with how it turned out. But my front yard was very blotchy and inconsistent. I was told that this is normal and will take about a year to cure and to give it time. Another reason was for differing "pH levels" for the area where the concrete was laid. Well... a year has passed and it has kind of improved here and there, but not so much in other parts. So, I'm a little hesitant to believe it that is actually the reason. It doesn't make sense to me that all the concrete laid out in my entire neighborhood doesn't look as bad as how it looks on my driveway. Structurally, it's fine. But it is a bit of an eye-sore looking at it every time I'm in my front yard. #3) I felt like I spent more time than I needed to checking for imperfections. A main one was my vinyl fence and cinder block wall getting dirty from the concrete pours. Another big one was the cinder block retaining wall in my backyard not being symmetrical on the edges. I had to call it out a few times to even get it fixed. Once it was finally fixed, my vinyl fence had residue from the cinderblock wall fix. By that time, I had gotten fatigue from having to constantly call out imperfections and let that one go. #4) You don't really know when the landscapers will come out to do the work. If I remember correctly, they would come out most weekdays. But, you wouldn't know if they would show up the next day or not. Not too big of a deal honestly. I'm more picky about this because I like to keep the side gate to my backyard locked and not knowing when to unlock it in the morning was just a tiny annoyance. I ended up just unlocking it first thing in the morning and locking it in the evening every weekday. Overall, I'd rate the project a 3 or 3.5 out of 5 - which I think is a very fair assessment. I'm relatively happy how it looks at the end. But there were a few bumps along the way which is why I cannot give a 5 out of 5. It pains me to write the above critiques and not be able to give the highest rating because Lee and the rest of his team were all very nice people. But there definitely could've have been improvements for the entire project.

My initial plan was to repair the area but soon became clear that aesthetically, it would not be the right decision. So I reached out to several businesses via Yelp. The first company that came to my home was Dave Pratt Designs. It's a family business, Dave is the dad and his kids are in college and are EXTREMELY involved in the business as well. They were the ones that initially came to my home. They showed up on time, dressed professionally and were extremely knowledgeable. They set the bar EXTREMELY high as most other companies were not as professional and I did not feel comfortable with their presentation. Also, the price point was more than fair with Dave Pratt. Once my HOA approved the drawings they provided, we scheduled a mutually convenient time for the install. There was a crew of 5-6 people at my home for 2-3 days working in 90 degree heat from 8:00am - 6:00pm non stop. They were incredibly professional and the quality of work EXCEEDED my expectations. I cannot recommend this business enough. Just absolutely fantastic in every aspect and every way imaginable. Much appreciated Dave, Andrew, Matthew, and the crew.

Dave and his crew transformed it into a space we truly love spending time in as a family. We put in paving stones throughout the entire yard, installed a beautiful patio cover with fans and overhead lighting, relocated our AC unit, and a built-in fire pit. Dave coordinated every detail seamlessly, which made a huge difference for us as first-time homeowners taking on a major renovation. Dave was great to work with. He took the time to explain each step, answered every question we had, and made us feel confident in every decision. On top of that, the project moved very quickly! We couldn't recommend Dave and his team more highly.

From beginning to end, Jake and his team were professional, efficient, and great to work with. Jake was incredibly proactive and involved throughout the entire process. He consistently followed up, met with us to select flooring samples and plants, worked within our HOA guidelines, and provided everything we needed for HOA approval. He also stayed on top of the permitting process and followed up with the city to keep everything moving. What we especially appreciated was the quality of their work and attention to detail. The crew never rushed the project just to get it done. They took the time to make sure everything was done properly while still keeping the project moving and staying on schedule. The entire crew was hardworking and very respectful of our home and space throughout the renovation, working 6 days a week. Even after the project was completed, Jake continued to be extremely responsive. We had a few minor items that needed follow-up, and he addressed them right away. We really appreciated that the same level of service and responsiveness continued even after the job was finished. We're so grateful to Jake and his team for doing such an amazing job and completing everything on time so we could enjoy our new backyard this summer. I can't say enough great things about Jake Joe and his team at Echo Homes. From start to finish,…read morethe entire experience exceeded my expectations. Our project included a full transformation of our backyard, courtyard, and side yard, and the results are absolutely stunning. Jake installed two custom fire pits, beautifully laid porcelain tile, and a customized louvered patio cover. He also helped with the placement of patio pots and selecting plant material, carefully considering sunlight, plant hardiness, and overall aesthetics. Everything feels perfectly balanced and thoughtfully designed. Even though I had a professional landscape design to start with, Jake suggested several updates that elevated the entire space, giving it a more modern and upscale look. He truly has an exceptional eye for detail and is resourceful at troubleshooting. His crew, Moi and Paco, were equally impressive. They were onsite every day from 7am to sunset, Monday through Saturday, and their work ethic was unmatched. Moi, in particular, stood out. He is incredibly diligent, knowledgeable, and professional. It was clear that they approached every step with care, always "measuring twice and cutting once." They took the time to think through details and identify potential issues before making any cuts, which gave me a lot of confidence in their craftsmanship. Jake's commitment to quality really sets him apart. If something wasn't perfect in his eyes, he had his team redo it even if it was solely for aesthetics like the placement of a pot. His adjustments and recommendations made the final result even better. This wasn't only about getting the job done quickly, it was definitely about getting it done right. The end result is top-notch, and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend Jake Joe and Echo Homes to anyone looking for high-quality, thoughtful, and beautifully executed landscaping work. (I wish I could've said this about my house remodeling contractors - no comment!)
