I'd like to preface by saying I don't usually leave negative reviews. That being said, I'm shocked to see so many positive reviews for this office. My experience here was overwhelmingly negative. After going in for a consultation and having a terrible experience (doctor's were incredibly rude and condescending and price was not transparent), I decided not to go back. I did not receive a bill (I assumed my insurance had paid for it, or they had waived it due to my extremely negative experience). Here we are, a year and a half later and I receive a bill and threats to take me to collections. The bill is small and this isn't about th emoney. It's simply the point. I can't believe it took me so long to leave a review on this practice but I've been a patient of Dr. Singla for at least 3 years now. Finding an honest dentist in NYC can be nothing short of terrifying but Dr. Singla is everything you could wish for. Reliable, caring, honest and always running on time. She doesn't recommended unnecessary procedures just because. She always does her best to provide the least invasive procedures to maintain tooth integrity which is important. I worked with her on Invisalign and had other simple cosmetic work by her. I find her billing practices upfront and reasonable for a NYC office- they are always willing to work with you. Recently I found myself very sick in need of medical treatment and Dr. Singla quickly swept into action, working with my Endodontist to provide immediate dental clearance in the least invasive way. She is also just the sweetest, most upbeat dentist I've ever met! read more

Finding a dentist that you love is hard, takes time, patience, and research. Did not like my last dentist so I spent a great deal of time researching and found FlossNYC, which I absolutely love. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the office is small, yet clean and neat. Lilla, the hygienst was Amazing! Very patient, friendly, warm, welcoming and professional. I felt comfortable and relaxed...and I absolutely love the cleaning she did. Dr. Singla came in to review my x-rays and was just as friendly, warm, and professional. My previous dentist rushed everything and was always trying to sell services. She discussed my x-rays and addressed my concerns regarding their insurance changes. We also discussed invisaligns and my hesitation with them, there was no forced sell or promotion. She had some of her staff come over (all friendly and down to earth) so I could see the work she did on them and left the decision in my court to follow up if interested. Loved...didn't feel pressured at all. This is the first time in a long time that I have left the dentist without any pain. I have been raving about them since and had a co-worker immediately make an appointment. I am hoping I can switch to PPO so I can stick with them forever, insurance swap don't fail me now! read more

Let's face it, going to the dentist is scary. Thank god I found Dr. Singla and her office! I went for a checkup and a cleaning and from start to finish, everything ran smoothly. Brandon was extremely helpful and let me charge my phone. Filling out forms was easy and streamlined, and the office is well decorated with soothing blues and awesome 80s music playing over the speakers! Lilla, the hygienist, was AMAZING. I instantly felt comfortable and didn't mind the 15-20 minutes it took to clean my teeth. More importantly, whenever I have x-rays of my teeth, the plastic thing they make you bite down on typically cuts into my cheeks and gums. Not here. She had my x-rays done in less than 5 minutes with NO pain. Finally, Dr. Singla is super smart and friendly; she demonstrated carrying my asking me about my experience at her office. More importantly, she is thorough. I have a DMO and some dentists treat you like second class citizens and just want you to get the hell out of their office. Dr. Singla explained my x-rays and noted potential future issues with my teeth, which is very helpful in deciding to switch from a DMO to a PPO. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Singla and the FlossNYC team. Dr. Singla picked up Dr. Shulman's practice and ran with it. It was a smooth transition and I have been very happy since. I have a fairly complex dental situation - a number of crowns and root canals from the youthful days as a lover of candy. Dr. Singla is very thorough and pro-active about my teeth to get ahead of trouble spots before things get more complicated. Cleanings are thorough and the hygienist really cares about your progress, without any guilt trips about your flossing habits! Insurance is a huge pain everywhere you go. Dr. Singla's team does their best to help you through. I was worried when my old dentist moved away but Dr. Singla, who took over his practice, is AMAZING!! First of all, she's so sweet and personable. And she does a fantastic job. I'm sometimes weary of young doctors but she knows her stuff. I feel like my teeth are in great hands. I feel like she truly cares about her patients and the reputation of her practice. Dr. Singla is the best dentist I've ever had! She is not quick to jump in and do any work that may be unnecessary, but she is very thorough and careful. Beyond basic check ups, she has fixed a broken tooth with zero pain or problems. I have also been having Invisalign treatment (finally!), which has been totally worth it. The Floss NYC team is also amazing-- everyone is extremely friendly. My cleanings have always been painless. Getting an appointment is always quick and there is never a long wait in the waiting room. This was by far my best dental experience in NYC... After a myriad of unnerving experiences with incompetent people, I was lucky to land in Dr. Singla and her office's hands. The technicians and clerical staff are kind, gentle, and professional. I experienced no pain for a regular cleaning AND was able to be fitted for two veneers the same day!! Dr. Singla made getting veneers the most simple and FUN process and I couldn't be happier with the results. I was too impatient to correct small gaps with Invisalign so I opted for the quicker route. The color of the veneers match perfectly and they look very natural. Had to write this review a little late, but I was reminded how great Dr. Singla after she met me in the office yesterday (on a Saturday) to fix something that was bugging me. Excellent customer service. Won't be going anywhere else for the remainder of my time in NYC. read more

To the reviewer that me mentioned that this place accepts the Aetna DMO, it is no longer true. I have them listed as my primary care provider under my DMO plan, and they are listed as within the network from Aetna. My experience trying to make the first appointment here has been a nightmare. When I called in July, I was told in July that the first available appointment was in November (which dental practice could possibly be that busy? Presumably their way of rejecting DMO patients). They put me on the "waitlist" in case any spots open up. When I called back about a month later, they just told me they no longer accept DMO (surprise surprise!). If this is shady business practice, I don't know what is. read more

Dr. Singla and her team rock! From the minute I called to make an appointment the receptionist Brandon was super kind and helpful in finding a time I could see Dr. Singla about tooth pain. And the day I was scheduled to come in my crown happened to fall out so I called and Brandon was able to tell me what it'd cost to have it cemented back in on my Aetna plan. So there were no financial surprises at all. Dr. Singla did a great job cementing in my crown and giving me some thoughts on what could be causing my pain. She was able to refer me to a specialist if pain continues and a root canal should be explored who takes my insurance but said it'd be fine to wait and see if that's needed. And then Leah did a fabulous job cleaning my teeth the next day. I felt from the moment I arrived until the moment I left I was deeply cared for and that everyone wanted to make me feel as comfortable as possible. I couldn't recommend more highly! read more

This is the best dental clinic I have ever been to. Everyone is super friendly starting from the front desk, always smiling and happy to answer any question. The assistants are extremely professional and friendly and they always make you feel comfortable. Doctor Singla is the cherry on the cake. She is the sweetest dentist ever, super kind, patient and caring. I don't like going to the dentist but Doctor Singla has always made me comfortable. She patiently explains everything about my teeth. I came here for an emergency visit, they were very friendly and agreed to see me same day. Also I hardly had to wait, they told me the best time to come in, and saw me right away. I didn't get to spend much time with Dr. Singla being that after the x-ray she referred me to oral surgery right away, but she was kind and professional. I was really impressed with how friendly everyone there from the receptionist to the dental hygienist, I scheduled an appointment to come in for cleaning and consultation soon. read more

I just returned from my first appointment for a general check up and cleaning at Dr. Schulman's office. The staff is extremely nice and professional. I actually met with Dr. Lopez who did a great teeth cleaning and went over every single one of my Xray pictures. I felt very comfortable and pleasantly surprised. The receptionist afterward went over my insurance plan and out of pocket costs for a crown I am getting at a future appointment. I really appreciated this as I know the price of treatment before going in. Overall, great experience. Happy to know I have found a new dentist and won't need to seek elsewhere. read more

Dr. Singla and her entire office deserve all the five-star reviews they've been getting. She began my initial visit with the most painstaking dental exam I've ever had, in which she checked and dictated notes on the condition of every one of my teeth, along with my gums. I'd been told a number of times by other dentists that my gums were in bad shape and that I was accumulating too much tartar. But this had always been conveyed to me in ways that were over-the-top alarmist and/or humiliating, kind of insulting, and judgmental to the extent that I tuned them out. Dr. Singla and her hygienist spoke with me as an adult about the same problems, and explained their possible consequences in ways that were clear,and respectful. They also took the time to respond in detail to my questions and concerns. I've been following their advice for the past two years, and my gum problems have disappeared. No more bleeding during routine cleanings! Dr. Singla has filled several cavities for me and done an extraction, all with as much consideration and attentiveness to any indication of pain as can be imagined. She's never tried to talk me into unnecessary procedures. The hygienist has been fantastic. My cleanings have been expertly done and complete. I have an awful gag reflex, but rather than losing patience and acting like this is something I can control, both the dentist hygienist make sure to coat my tongue with enough of topical anaesthetic that this has barely been a factor. Both the dentist and hygienist have always extremely thorough, and I've never felt that my care was being rushed. The one red herring was that the periodontist I saw there two years ago seemed like he was ready to begin an extra-deep cleaning before I had a chance to find out that this would have cost me hundred of dollars and involved something like five or six stitches. But the entire staff including receptionists is incredibly welcoming and friendly in ways that seem genuine. Coming here is like visiting family, but without the complications and hassles this can involve. read more

I have just recently started going to this office for my dental care and am being seen by Dr. Lopez. I needed a lot of work done on my teeth due to avoiding the dentist for a few years. Dr. Lopez was not only warm and informative, but he was gentle and took the time to explain to me what work needed to be done and why. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Singla was upbeat, very clear, she went over all of my xrays and explained everything in a detailed, but very understandable way. Her assistant, Ms. Ramos was super friendly, efficient and helpful as well. My second time was for a cleaning done by Ms. Lilla Douglas - and boy, let me tell you, she did a fantastic job! It's no accident or coincidence that everyone on this thread has given Dr. Singla and her practice five stars and rave reviews. I've been here five times, for check-ups, cleanings, and to have cavities filled. Without competition, FlossNYC is by far the best, friendliest, most considerate, caring, conscientious, and professional dental practice I've ever been to. This applies not only to Dr. Singla but equally to the hygienist and receptionist. On my first visit, after reviewing the x-rays taken that day, Dr. Singla examined my mouth tooth-by-tooth and had the hygienist write out coded descriptions of what was or wasn't going on with each one. She then passed this information on to me in what amounted to a tutorial on the condition of my teeth, and how I could maximize their health and that of my gums. These had been receding for years, but Dr. Singla is the only dentist I've been to who didn't lecture me about this or else moreor less ignore it. Instead, she presented the problem and possible or likely consequences and options in great detail, as something we could work on together. Based on her recommendation and the hygienist's, I've been having four cleanings a year instead of two -- and my gums haven't further receded since. In treating my cavities Dr. Singla has always taken extraordinary care to do this as painlessly as possible. The hygienist is equally great. I have an awful gag reflex that often made dental care a stomach-turning nightmare, complete with reprimands for gagging. But once I told her that a topical anaesthetic on my tongue and gums suppressed this, she has always applied enough to get me through entire cleanings without even one interruption to settle my stomach. Like Dr. Singla, she iis extremely friendly, caring, and personable. She also does a meticulous job of cleaning my teeth. The receptionist is likewise friendly and helpful. Coming to this practice is like visiting family, but with none of the potential hassles. read more
