Charged $260 for CBCT which I plan to dispute. First thing he told me was contrary to what was promised while making the appointment, the tooth will most likely get reinfected shortly...I have been doing this for 16 years. Then the doctor refused to provide services that they had already run through my insurance. The doctor has a big EGO. I am having issues with another tooth and requested him to take a quick look at the 3D scan which I had already paid for. He flatly refused and actually felt insulted! What nerve and what service?!@#%!! Then he got mad that I was pissed and asked me to leave.

I think the geometry of my teeth make them difficult to work with and it took several attempts to get impressions to produce Viveria retainers that fit correctly and kept my tooth spacing tight. Unfortunately, I found that the new Viveria material was too thin and stretched out after a few weeks of wear. Dr. Ortiz kindly offered to make me some retainers in-house using a thicker plastic to solve the problem. They had not worked with this thicker material before so it took a few tries to get these retainers to come out correctly, but they never gave up. After all the time & effort, I'm sure they didn't make any profit so I appreciate EPO for putting the customer ahead of the bottom line. That is a rare thing to find these days. 5-stars!

I was charged over 250 for state of the art "scans". When I meet with the dentist, he then proceeded to tell me that he may have to redo my crown and also charge me for the root canal. He said he was unsure based on my scans. Wasn't the whole point of the expensive scan was to determine this. The whole process was very salesmen like. I felt like I was being nickel and dimed for everything and nothing was conclusive. Fast forward to 6 months later I am getting texts messages from a bill collector for a bill from this shady office about another charge. Let me guess--your tooth blew up again." After examining my mouth, he made another comment to the effect of, "Well, it won't be long now. This one will break next, followed by that one, and then you'll really be suffering." I deeply regret not taking better care of my teeth when I was younger, but I came to this office because I was in pain and needed professional help--not ridicule or judgment. Instead of treating me with empathy, Dr. Mark made condescending remarks about the condition of my teeth, heightened my anxiety, and did not resolve the pain that brought me there. I already suffered from severe dental anxiety, and this experience reinforced the very fear that a compassionate dental professional should help a patient overcome. Whatever his intention may have been, his manner made me feel ashamed and unwelcome. It remains the dental visit I regret most. I would strongly discourage anyone with dental anxiety--or anyone embarrassed about the condition of their teeth--from visiting this practice. Patients deserve respectful, judgment-free care regardless of their dental history or financial circumstances. Dr. Gary in Frisco has been well worth the drive and has provided a far more compassionate experience.

From start to finish, the visit went very well. Scheduling was easy, filling out the new patient "paperwork" was online and easy, and once I arrived for my appointment, everything else went smoothly! I believe Dr. Jaouni provided a conservative treatment plan recommendation, which I very much appreciated. I mean, after all, who wants to have a tooth pulled, unless absolutely necessary?! My wife has been treated by Dr. Jaouni on a couple of occasions. She was pleased with the result and approved of my seeing him for my "emergency" issue. After being seen by Dr. Jaouni, I too recommend this endodontist. I hope you don't need to visit the Endodontist, but if you do and you decide to give this practice/Dr. Jaouni an opportunity to treat you, I hope you have a likewise very positive experience! If you want to save your natural tooth, go to Park Endodontics, Dr.Tariq Alsmadi…read more I had an infection in one of the previously root-canaled teeth. My dentist referred me to 2 Endodontists, who also do implants. Both of them recommended an implant. Why do I need to lose my natural tooth and go for an implant with a huge cost? because they wanted to make more money with implants. I know the after-effects and side-effects of the implants, and I wanted to save my natural tooth. Finally, I found Park Endodontic, which does only root canals, no implants.  Dr. Tariq Alsmadi retreated my root canal, cleaned the infected area, and saved my tooth. Thank you, Park Endodontics and Dr. Alsmadi. If anybody needs to save the natural tooth and save money too, go to this place.  Please DO NOT implant until you try all other options to save the natural tooth. Don't be fooled by implant people's marketing campaigns. They will be rich, and you will be in pain and regret later.
