It was refreshing to come into town and need to make a few copies because it gave me a reason to revisit. The best part? The friendly staff, comfortable environment, and abundant resources hasn't changed. What has changed its how much has been updated to accommodate your needs! Although this is a small town, the library has all of the modern necessities to make this a one-stop shop! Grande Prairie is just one of many comforts of home that has maintained it's community appeal and charm! I'm glad the youth of today get to experience one of few community buildings that resonate the togetherness and support of yesterday.

This one is spacious and two-story, holding thousands of entries. The on-line catalog was easy to maneuver - so you can easily find stuff when you are there or from home when you are researching - and the library shares with a number of others in a system - so you can get access to materials not in this library but in the system. Works very well. The entrance to the library has a number of large display cases where they highlight special exhibits. There is a childrens' room inside on the first floor (can get a bit noisy at times but they do the best they can with the space), and the library also has private study rooms where you can get away from all distractions for a few hours for study or reading. The Homewood Public Library is a winner...go and see for yourself next time you need library materials.

For this year's Spring semester I was blessed with the opportunity to turn a dream into reality. I attended Prairie State College over two summers while earning my undergraduate degree. Therefore, I was very familiar with how to navigate through the building. What a beautiful space, so many upgrades since I attended. All the staff as well as the police officers were so nice and welcoming. Prairie State is an affordable, public community college. The school offers a variety of courses over several disciplines, both in person and online. Surely, there is something for everyone. I worked in the Early Childhood Center with a cohort of twenty-five. The goal was to help the students earn the Child Development Associate. There were many layers to teaching this course. Having a dean with a heart of gold, truly invested not only in the program but the students was a great help. The dean was also invested in the team she hired to do the job. Being a College Professor has been the most rewarding experience I have had this year. Thank you Dr. Ty Jiles for such a priceless opportunity. Looking forward to working with you again.

If you ever need any help from this school, you might as well just take a day off and be prepared to go in before you think you can get them on the phone. When trying to figure out if your credit transfer over the course of seven days I got sent back-and-forth between the same four people who I ended up having to put in a large email with screenshots of all of their own emails sending me to each other because nobody seems to have it together!
