If I had to review this library two years ago I would have only have been able to give it two stars. For the longest time this place really didn't have the greatest selection or the most modern facilities. They recently passed a referendum to expand the library and now they have nearly doubled in size with their new construction. They now have a huge selection and it is really updated now. the people that they have working here are nothing less than helpful and always really friendly.

Julie, the lady that told me said she was in charge and I had to leave. I asked why others can but I can't, and she refused to answer the question. I had everything in my headphones, so nothing could be heard by anyone there. She was nothing but rude and when asked who her boss was she wouldn't tell me. I had to call into the library and ask someone else to find out. She gave me a dirty look as I was walking out. Definitely don't feel welcome here as a Chicago ridge resident.

I asked what classes I needed to take and they laughed at me in a rude manner and said I needed to come in person to get help. What college refuses to help someone with classes over the phone?! I went in person one time before this and they offered me NO HELP at all and even asked "Are you done with my help now?" after barely 5 minutes of getting advising help. I have never seen this bad of an advising center that's supposed to help people. My last college advising center was always on top of things and always helped so I know this is not right at all.

She helped me solve all of the issues and misinformation I was previously given and I was squared away and ready to go within a few hours. She even printed some documents for free for my troubles. Please hire more people like her. Everyone that comes to the courthouse has varying reasons for being there but all should be treated with decency and respect. A little kindness goes a long way.

This is a beautiful campus and an excellent good school, and yet I hear about a new problem every…read moreday from my son who started attending there. He was given an advisor who was on sabbatical. Their IT needs a complete overhaul. IT had to register him for classes because neither he nor his advisor could get into the system at the time. They signed him up for 2 classes at the same time. He has had frequent issues on campus with their wifi connection. He has documented proof that a paper has been submitted, through their own system but the professor doesn't receive it. They send campus emails to personal email addresses even though they inform students all emails will be sent through their campus email which in his case also happened to be his preferred email. The bookstore is listed as being open on Fridays but when he goes there to buy a book that he needs for a class he finds it closed because the staff is attending chapel.

Inside it is very large, clean, well lit, has loads of private mailboxes, many table tops to put your parcels together, and has everything you need to post your stuff. Outside has loads of parking and they are at a busy corner so it is easy to get to on 111th and Harlem. Absolutely never had a problem with the workers here. Like this place, give it a try.

I am proud to be a citizen of Chicago Ridge. About 5 minutes ago, I saw a CR officer pull someone…read moreover ahead of me. As I drove closer to him, I observed him taking a bag off of the roof of the car he had pulled over, and hand it to the driver with a smile. I know some may think this is a stupid thing for one to be proud of, but the officer easily could've just continued on his way and didn't. He took the effort to pull over the individual and the time out of his day to assist a stranger. Thank you, kind officer, for helping one of my fellow CR citizens!
