This one is spacious and two-story, holding thousands of entries. The on-line catalog was easy to maneuver - so you can easily find stuff when you are there or from home when you are researching - and the library shares with a number of others in a system - so you can get access to materials not in this library but in the system. Works very well. The entrance to the library has a number of large display cases where they highlight special exhibits. There is a childrens' room inside on the first floor (can get a bit noisy at times but they do the best they can with the space), and the library also has private study rooms where you can get away from all distractions for a few hours for study or reading. The Homewood Public Library is a winner...go and see for yourself next time you need library materials.

Free and fast wifi, plenty of outlets, friendly staff, plenty of parking, a new/modern building (with a robust air conditioning system), and of course, many and varied volumes for those who like absorb the written word the old-fashioned way. I've been a patron of the Crete Library for decades, and I can also attest to the quality (and fun factor) of their children's reading program. The friendly staff, comfortable environment, and abundant resources hasn't changed. What has changed its how much has been updated to accommodate your needs! Although this is a small town, the library has all of the modern necessities to make this a one-stop shop! Grande Prairie is just one of many comforts of home that has maintained it's community appeal and charm! The staff is excellent and very helpful. I also love that the youth department is on the lower floor while the adult area is upstairs--it helps to contain noise and keeps the youth department more kid-friendly. They have lots of great events for kids--like their Block Party at the beginning of summer and an annual Dr. Seuss party in February. They have a very large selection of books and can easily order one for you if they don't have it!

The children's department has come up with amazing childrens activities that my younger children (currently ages 2 and 5) enjoy. My children enjoy the painting activities, bedtime story time with Miss Cindy and my 5 year old and I recently enjoyed mommy and me tea time. This is one of my favorite places to take my kids to keep them entertained.
