DO NO RECOMMEND!! Racists ! Receptionists are racist and discriminate against you if you're African American. Everytime I called to schedule an appointment for my toddler child I was spoken to very rudely and treated poorly and they never have anything available or try to accommodate. They will schedule you MONTHS LATER what's the point if your child needs immediate treatment. Look ELSEWHERE!! read more

Dr. Mallorca has been our pediatrician for over 15 years since moving to Manteca. She has been with my son since day one. I have never had a more caring or loving, excellent bedside mannered physician in my entire life. She knows each child by name and remembers family members as well. Staff has been consistent and that is very important when dealing with children who have a hard time with change. They know when they come in they will be seeing the same people, which are also just as caring and sweet! read more

The doctors office I take the boys too, the staff is always always rude never fails. Always unprofessional, it took about a month of calling just to get someone to answer. Loved her as a doctor and person always shiwed my son compassion..but her staff are really rude nasty and pretty racist after months of screwed up appoints no call backs i went in and staff wouldnt care to even acknowledge i was there for anything i asked for help rude lady said sorry we cant schedule appointments then proceeded to say nasty things in spanish thankfully someone said something that understood it i filed a complaint at medical board never heard from her just a shitty letter from her rude racist staff saying uder bs lies. Well lets see.... PROS: -the doctor is nice, but you kinda have to be if your a pediatrician -if you live in the area, its in a centralized location -the staff is just okay CONS: -there are NO sinks in the exam rooms, arent you supposed to wash your hands before and after every patient... how do I know you just washed up?? -the waiting room is extremely small. so if you have an infant car seat youre proboly going to be standing right in the center of the room -you can barely get an appointment in the time range of your liking, and any appointment you get youll be waiting AT LEAST thirty minutes over. (I had to wait 1hour and 15 minutes for my newborns TWO WEEK OLD appointment.) -they do not have flu vaccines here -the office really doesnt look that clean -shares this office with another doctor for adult patients... so Im sure the adult patients are irritated in the waiting room with all the crying children patients who have been waiting for long periods of time. -ALWAYS OVERBOOKED read more

I'm giving 2 stars because Dr. Mallorca is an incredible doctor, and her nurses are great! But the problem was the front desk people, they messed up my daughters appts more than 3 times and so my daughter was getting her 6 month shots when she was 9 months. Also, the front desk likes to lie and say they tried to call you to reschedule if Doctor Mallorca couldn't be in but they never called nor left a voicemail! Just disappointed with the hour and a half long wait to get into the room as well.. will be going elsewhere! read more

Love dr Mallorca, only leaving a 4 star review because I am ALWAYS on hold when I call, they take forever to get back to you, I was on hold for about 18 minutes before I hung up and called again. They're lucky she's such an awesome dr or I'm sure they'd lose clientele daily. I know I sure would've left if she wasn't such an awesome dr. She is attentive to their needs and has built a trusting relationship with them and my husband and I. I trust that they will receive the very best care whenever they go and see her. Dr. Mallorca is great with kids. She has that natural presence that children loves. Dr. Mallorca has a unique way with kids that kids love seeing her. Her nurses are also very friendly. Connie is great at handling all the pre-checkups on our son. The receptionists are also great too. Friendly and professional. They make sure they keep their voices down when explaining personal information to you at the front desk so others would not hear. I really like this because I have experienced other places where receptionists are so loud that the whole waiting room can hear confidential information. Dr. Mallorca shares this office with family doctor, Dr. David. So I can understand that the waiting room can be a bit crowded at times. The room is quite small. But then again, if so many people come to this office for the health services, it just adds more to the reasons why Dr. Mallorca is a great doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Mallorca for all of your pediatric needs. read more

When I lived in Lathrop Dr. Mallorca was my son's pediatrician. I wish we were still local so that all of my children would be seen by her. I truly believe my son wouldn't be living the healthy life that he is today without Dr. Mallorca. The doctors at Urgent Care and the Emergency room could not figure out what was wrong with my son all weekend long, but when Dr. Mallorca was able to see him first thing the following Monday morning, after a brief examination, she knew what we were facing. Dr. Mallorca immediately admitted my son to the hospital to start the tests that would lead us to the diagnosis of Kawasaki Disease. Starting treatment as early as possible is crucial for KD patients and without Dr. Mallorca we may not have caught it in time. My son, now 15, has fully recovered and we thank Dr. Mallorca for that! read more

dr. mallorca was the pedi at the hospital when i delivered my son. she was very friendly with me, my boyfriend and my newborn. i decided to stick with her as my children's pediatrician. she has since seen my son for his newborn checkup and also once because i thought he may have reflux. when i called to set an appointment for his reflux symptoms, she returned my call promptly and was able to squeeze me in the next day. she is truly a nice person and someone i am totally comfortable with seeing my children. read more

Dr Mallorca was my grandsons doctor for 16 yrs. He is a healthy kid and because he has not been seen in a year they refused service to me. They stated she is not taking new clients. He is not a new patient. I want him to be seen and now after 16yrs we have to find a new Doctor. read more

I love Dr. Mallorca! We picked her because she was my husband's pediatrician and he loved her as a kid. I have absolutely no regrets! From the first day my daughter was born she was so sweet and awesome with my girl. Anytime I've ever had a health concern for my daughter she has been patient and caring even when I was just being a paranoid first time parent. Recently my daughter came down with two different infections that started out as a cold sore then became a bacterical infection that led to sores in and outside her mouth. She was able to squeeze me in on a Friday and spent the time with us to properly diagnose, explain the treatment, and help put me at ease. She did not rush us at all dispite us not having a proper appointment. She also welcomed me to call her over the weekend if necessary which was reassuring. I see people complaining about wait times and her staff. Perhaps the wait times are long because she actually gives each family the care they need instead of treating us like numbers. Her staff is not perfect but in my experience not as bad as these reviews make them out to be. As long as she is in practice she will be my daughter's and any of my future children's pediatrician! read more

Before I had my son, I was researching different pediatricians for him. I was pretty set on having him be followed by my old pediatrician. After he was born, that doctor wasn't available or on call over the weekend. Dr. Mallorca was the on call pedi at the time. She came into the room and was very sweet and acted as if she'd known me for years and cared deeply for David. I knew right then that I wanted her as his main doctor. I called and got his appointments set up, etc. There are always pros and cons to every doctor and their office. Much like Dr. Mallorca's, there is always a full waiting room, long waits and sometimes on occasion, a rude front desk worker. But if you look at it differently, you might change it from a con to a pro. The waiting room is always full because everyone wants to be seen by Dr. Mallorca. She is that good of a doctor. There are long waits because she and her staff provide the utmost care to each and every patient. Workers in the medical field receive so much flack and grief from all sorts of people. From insurance companies, pharmacy workers, and especial patients and family members. Sometimes people just have off days. My son has been having symptoms since last weekend. I thought they were the result of teething, but he progressively worsened. So, I called the office this morning at 0900 and they immediately squeezed me in at 1030. I had to wait in the office until 1100 to be seen, but that's okay (see above). We got into the room and he was weighed (20.15lbs), measured (26.5") and had a thorough assessment done. Dr. Mallorca came in with a gleaming smile and began singing to him. He was smiling and happy the whole time. She listened to his chest multiple times to ensure she heard every quadrant and noise. In the end he was diagnosed with a bilateral ear infection and respiratory infection. She gave him a nebulizer treatment in the office and gave me a loaner machine to take over the weekend. She was concerned that if she ordered one for us we wouldn't have until Monday (due to the weekend). All in all, this post was just to say how happy I am with Dr. Mallorca and their office. They truly care about my son and his well being. And that's all I could ever want. read more

Very unprofessional staff. I had the misfortune of catching a staff member in a lie. . . Not cool. When I involved the insurance company it was quit funny how things changed. I and my entire family will be leaving this practice, this kind of behavior from her staff was completely unacceptable. It really is to bad because Dr. Mallorca is wonderful doctor. read more

Dr. Mallorca is extremely nice unlike her staff but unfortunately she misdiagnosed my newborn daughter. She had been projectile vomiting for weeks was well a pound under her birth weight and she diagnosed her with acid reflux. We did what she said and gave her medicine for acid reflux but was not getting better and continued to projectile every feeding. She then prescribed a medication that had serious side effects of taken for an extended period of time and she was still not getting any better. I went in and demanded to see her as she was getting worse and had this going on for 2 months. She also had a weird lump in her stomach which she said " babies aren't developed and it's just floating and can move around" ummm no. Stomachs don't create a floating bulge. Finally after refusing to let it be passed of she ordered an ultrasound and she had pyloricstinosis. Which required immediate surgery. The surgeon at Oakland's Children's Hospital said her lump in her stomach is the number tell tale sign and she should not have missed that. Unfortunately she's the only pediatrician that takes Tri-Care so we must go back to being patients with her. Hopefully she's better now than she was then. read more

Dr. Mallorca is amazing. Her office staff are very helpful and accomodating. We are usually late getting into the room to see her, but that is because of the wonderful personal attention that she gives to every patient. Go to the office expecting to be there for a while, and you will be so happy with the care and attention that your children receive. I honestly can not say enough about her. My kids love her, she is the only doctor that they have had, and they see her as a part of the family. read more

This review pertains to the person answering the phone at Dr. Mallorca's office. I called this office today seeking a pediatrician. The first time I called I got a voicemail message stating the mailbox was not set up to receive voicemail messages. Called back later and was placed on hold for five minutes and then the call was disconnected instead of answered. Called back and when the receptionist answered, I was asked to be placed on hold again. I explained I had already been placed on hold for five minutes and then hung up on to which she rudely responded, "I have two phones with four lines on each to answer and registrations." Some apology! At this point I should have hung up as obviously there is a lack of professionalism and staffing issues, however, I explained that I was interested in establishing a pediatrician if they were accepting new patients. She very curtly asked, "What's the insurance?" I asked her to repeat herself to be sure I heard right as I was expecting a simple yes or no. Again she very rudely asked ,"What is the insurance?" So I repeated, "I asked if you're accepting new patients." Same response, "What is the insurance?" That was it for me. Repeatedly answering a potential new patient's question with a question is an indicator of poor customer service, as well as informing me of the amount of phones and lines that this person needs to answer has nothing to do with me or the quality of customer service I should receive. I'll be seeking a pediatrician elsewhere solely based on the rudeness of this person who answered the phone today, which is too bad because the pediatrician has good reviews. read more
