Stopped here before leaving Florida. While here the fruits mainly ornages looked very fresh and they had a orange juice to taste test which was so sweet and delicious with pulp. Walking around they have lots of Florida souvenirs and crocodile items. Towards the other end they have multiple marmalades to try. I bought a couple keychains. Upon going to the cash register i asked the employee which marmalade they prefer as i was interested. They're answer was that "I dont recommend any of them because I don't eat any of them !!! I mean just because you like or eat them there should be a more popular flavor that people get. At that point they just lost a sale since they were pretty pricey. I just got the keychains and left.

What a dump. Terrible old bathrooms. Old candy. It's just awful. Avoid this place at all costs.

In A Nutshell: -This (Florida Visitor Center) is the best visitor's center I've ever ventured into in any state! -You get free samples of Florida citrus - the Honey Tangerines are so pretty (green skin, orange inside) & good, get a bag of those! -Inside the shop, there are a wide variety of Florida-themed sweets, snacks & gifts. -The packaging on the snacks were eye-catching & unique. -Spent some bucks on various gifts & home decor (check out the alligator claw back scratcher pic below). Overall, upon paying, I topped off the Florida experience by trying some alligator jerky.

After passing many signs on the highway I was persuaded to check it out. Well that and I needed a rest stop. Most of the items in the store are of the typical tourist variety - t-shirts, hats, bags, various knick-knacks with Florida, Disney, etc. written/printed on them. I think the items were a little pricey and can probably be bought cheaper elsewhere. However, they do carry a large selection of homemade goods - jellies, jams, sauces, syrups and candies (include chocolates, fudge, etc.). If I were heading home, I would have bought something other than the maple penuche pecan roll. OMG that thing was delish! Same thing with the fruit, I was so tempted to load up on some citrus fruit (oranges, grapefruits, lemons) but I wasn't heading home. The stuffed 30ft gator is pretty cool to see as is the live baby gators in the tank. Currently there are 6 in there. Also, they sale gator heads (small to medium in size) so if you or someone you know is into this sort of thing this is probably a good place to buy one. The employees were very friendly and were nice enough to answer all of our questions about the products. Definitely a cool place. I hope to be able to stop in again...when I'm heading in the direction of home so that I load up on a few items.

VERY overpriced and the oranges weren't even sweet. Wasted trip. Definitely not worth your time.

Crappiest oranges I have ever eaten. Flavorless, mealy. Hard to peel. $20 wasted. I get better oranges at the grocery store in Texas.

I have been coming here, driving up to 60 miles out of my way, for decades. I can't say enough…read moreabout the orange juice. It is fresh squeezed and unpasteurized. You have to drink it fast or get it straight to refrigeration so as to avoid botulism. It's worth it. Best OJ you will ever have. I'm also a big fan of the honeys and jams. They are only open seasonal, so get it while the getting is good. With that being said, I have to say my last stop here was somewhat unpleasant. I came in the store, so happy to be there, and was greeted by two people behind the counter. One was a younger woman, wearing a shirt that said she had an allergy to mornings. Lol. She smiled and was kind. However her counterpart was an older woman who treated me like I had done her wrong. It was so obvious that she didn't want to be there, or didn't want me to be there, that when we left, my boyfriend asked "Did you try to flirt with her husband or something?" I understand that life happens and we can't always be in a good mood, but as a former retailer her demeanor was unacceptable. The store would have been better off without her in it. (I suspect she is part ownership.) This is why I give 3 instead of 5 stars. If it wasn't for the OJ and the other staff member, I would have given them 1 star.

We stopped here on our way back home. Big mistake. The oranges in the bag were small, greenish…read more in color, and were bitter. I ended up throwing the oranges in the trash. Avoid this place
