Something I learned on this trip is that Florida's welcome center gives out free juice which I thought was so interesting! Of course we had to try it. They have grapefruit and orange juice for you to sample it's nothing special just juice but I think it's a nice gesture, especially for people who are visiting. They do have all kinds of pamphlets for things to do in Florida interesting facts about Florida, but the real reason we stopped is for a bathroom break which I wish they were more clean. There were overfilled garbage cans and slippery floors not very pleasant.

Great photo op for the 'gram or Facebook

The I-95 Florida welcome center is a well known landmark. It offers a welcome center, relatively clean restrooms, plenty of covered picnic tables, a nice photo op sign and plenty of room to stretch your legs and take a break from the road.

Quick, easy, and clean welcome center. A lot of information and easy to get around. Beautiful "Welcome" sign for pictures, and along with other pretty artwork to take photos with. Easy stop and wouldn't mind stopping here again when back in the area.

This is a sign about some of the wildlife in the state. Photo taken August 24, 2022.

This Florida Welcome Center is located along Interstate 95 South coming in from Georgia. The actual welcome center is not on the state line, but rather a few miles in after entering the state. It's not too far past exit 380 (the exit for US 17). My visit here was around 3 pm on August 24, 2022. When you come into the welcome center, there was ample parking there at the time I was there, but it was getting a bit busier when we were leaving, so it seems there may be times when marking may be at a premium to find. After getting parked, we headed into the main building. As you come up to it, you can see the advertising for Publix, which is a major grocery store in the state (domiciled here in this state). They say to "Shop Like A Local". Once inside, the place is very spacious. To the left, there is a desk where you can get a sample of juice to choose from. You can choose from orange juice or grapefruit juice. I opted for the orange juice. The inside has lots of info about the state, as well as some themed areas in there, such as the Treasure Coast. There is also an information desk at the northern end of the building. It is this part of the center that you will find the restrooms from the outside. The restrooms were fine and had no issues. They seem to be maintained well. They had several vending options as well. If you need a SunPass, you can actually get those from one of the vending machines here if you need one. After checking out the inside, I wanted to walk around a bit outside, but not too long due to the heat and humidity, or as I like to call it, hell-midity. They have several animal info signs and examples of their tracks as well. They also have a colorful dolphin statue outside on the grounds. This is part of the "Dolphin Trail" in the state. Due to the weather (heat, etc.), we didn't stay too long, but did get to see a few things as noted above. However, I didn't get to see everything. That will have to wait another time. The best part though was being able to get out of the car for a bit and get to move the body, since sometimes when in a car for too long, it can cramp your style with your body. Overall, this was a very nice welcome center. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a lot of stuff you could get here for information if you needed it. In this instance, I didn't need any of that info as we were essentially going to be just passing through the state once we got to I-10 West (eventual destination was Mississippi). If your travels bring you to this welcome center, this place is definitely worth stopping into and checking out.

If you are arriving in Florida for the first time, then I hope this place represents the state well on that particular day, the tropical breeze and flowering trees are so inviting and flourish across this beautiful landscape. This place was swarming with activity and everyone seemed happy even though the weather today was not typical of what you'd normally experience. As you enter the main pavilion on the left you will find a juice bar displaying the nectars of Florida, ice cold orange and grapefruit juice and a friendly smile dispensing these samples in small paper cups free of charge. I think few visitors and residents entering the state pass this exit without stopping so parking can be challenging at times, the atmosphere here is festive and it always seems busy so be careful of children darting across the lot or the geriatric wondering around in awe. The restrooms today appeared to be a little overwhelmed and aromatic, even the wearing of a mask can't defend against this petri dish atmosphere although there seemed to be plenty of staff working, it looked more like a super spreader event, I'm sure Dr. Fauci would be shaking his head at the urinal if he was here so you might want to glove up or bring you own sanitizer. I didn't hang out long even though I stopped here to take a driving break and walk off a long day of travel. I think these reviews of rest areas are snapshots and doesn't really play a part in whether people will stop or not I know I've never read a review that would sway me either way - you know when you've got to go you've got to go so if it's not raining don't walk through any puddles...

Welcome to Florida! Home of the filthy bathroom. The bathrooms here were gross. I found a port a potty on the side of the road in Tennessee that was cleaner than this place. If you arrive when they are open you can pick up a visitors bag and take an armful of tourist attraction brochures and maps if anyone uses those anymore. Although this center was closed when I passed through I could see the iconic orange juice in the window. Based on the way the building is decorated you would think this rest stop is sponsored by Disney. An interesting fact is that Florida was one of the first states to open a welcome center. The first one opened in November of 1949 on U.S. Highway 17 near Yulee. Over 90 million visitors have stopped at the welcome centers since then. There is even a marine welcome center at the marina at Fernandina Beach on the Intracoastal. Other amenities at this welcome center include trained staff who have earned the National Information Specialist Cetification (when open), picnic tables, pet area, and vending machines. There is a welcome to Florida sign for your photo pleasure. Other road Florida Welcome Centers are located on I-10, I-75, and at the capitol in Tallahassee.

Always tough to follow when your neighboring State has an amazing Welcome Center that appears to be new because it was very clean. . Granted, it's during Covid pandemic and after the holidays, but if you need to make a pit stop be grateful you are wearing a mask as it helps block some of the restroom odor. Probably because of the pandemic, one of the entrance door is closed and blocked. Unfortunately for the one that IS open, several of the stalls were temporarily closed You can see the remnants of toilet paper on the floor between stalls (what's with that?). These restrooms entrances are exterior to the building and with the thousands of visitors to Florida, it's not surprising that the Welcome Center appears to be worn from use. I did take a quick glance inside the actual Welcome Center. There was staff at the counter with someone asking questions. The Center inside is smaller but clean. Still had a large Christmas Tree with lights on and pamphlets of various attractions. One recommendation to note. IF you need to use the restroom, drive further down the parking lot as on the other part of the Welcome Center, there are additional bank of restrooms. Those also have half of the entrances blocked off and closed too. It's also easier to get out of your parking space.

We love coming to this Welcome Center whenever we cross the state line, going home. Today, a pleasant hostess gave us, and we enjoyed, the free OJ sample: fresh, cold and delicious. We could have had grapefruit juice, but we prefer orange juice. We didn't need any of the brochures provided, and there were plenty to choose from. We liked the astronaut standing in between the rows of brochures. We also liked the area for picture taking, next to the juice dispensing. Another pleasant woman was giving away bags of information about Florida. Curious, we took one. Inside was an up to date map of FL, a postcard (I love sending postcards), a guide map to FL attractions, a visual guide to seashell collecting, & 3 booklets (Undiscovered Florida, Camp FL, and Visit FL). I've lived in FL since 1959, but I'll enjoy looking through all of these reading materials. Might learn something new! A pack of 5 white generic, soft cotton masks was also inside. Great way to promote safety during a pandemic. Kudos to VisitFlorida.Com! Outside the center are clean, well stocked bathrooms, snack & soda machines, and picnic tables to enjoy a snack and soda. There are plenty of parking spots for cats and trucks.

Heading back home to visit my parents and I stopped here for a break. Bathrooms were very clean and they hand out free sample of Orange Juice and Grapefruit Juice in the welcome center.

This is the way a welcome center is done! They have big clean restrooms. A replica "Welcome to Florida" sign (like the one you just passed on the interstate) in the park so you can take some selfies with. A room with all kinds of travel brochures, orange juice samples, complimentary masks, and numerous staff to answer all of your travel questions.

Quite a pleasant and enjoyable welcome center as we've entered the State of Florida. It's been a while since we've last visited and I remember when they were still under construction, so I'm happy to see how well it turned out. The beautiful palm tree landscaping let you know that you've entered the Sunshine state. There are lots of parking spots and shelters with picnic tables which allow you to take your leisure. There's a snack area located in it's own air conditioned building. Restrooms are clean and the Information Center (when open) is clearly marked and organized by the different regions across the state. Upon entering the Information Center, there's a help desk to the right and on the left side they serve complimentary orange & grapefruit juice to taste. Although there's not too much to do inside the Information Center, it's beautifully decorated according to the popular attractions offered in Florida. Had a great experience so we highly recommend!

It is ez on ez off the highway. I especially love the sculpture outside of the restrooms because you can pose and hashtag if you'd like! I simply took a picture! I guess greg want you to know you're in Fla! Restrooms are clean and that what counts. Parking is easy too.
