I ordered a spa cover from this company. I don't believe that they ever sent anything out. I was given a delivery date of 7/15 instead of the end of June. I ordered the cover on 6/1. I did get a lot of lame excuses from the company. Bottom line, once August came about, it was time to dispute the charge with my cc company I also read reviews about this company on other websites. We had no issue with ordering or delivery of our cover. However about a year after receiving and installing it, one of the main seams was coming apart. I have contacted Florida Spa Covers to resolve this under their 5-year warranty. However, they do not answer their phones (or respond to voice mail left) not do they respond to any emails sent to them. Absolutely no customer service so apparently the warranty is meaningless. My spa covered was delivered in a thin cardboard box that was ripped and the cover inside punctured. A signature was required to accept the delivery, which instead was dropped off at my mailbox while I was home. After submitting a claim to the shipping company and having it denied three times by the shipper (stating the package was delivered in good condition despite my photos showing the damage), I have been unable to get any response from Florida Spa Covers. read more

I refused it as they told me to do. They said they would redo it as a hot order and get it to me ASAP. After that it was story after story after story. They get an "F" from the Better Business Bureau! The third time we opened our new spa cover a seam ripped. When I asked for help they were not helpful and after a month I called and he said I need to send the warranty to them. I sent it and they said I would have to pay to ship the cover both ways even though it is defective. He said that's what the warranty says. But I received the warranty with the top so it was a catch 22 for me. Bottom line, bad product, bad service, look elsewhere. Purchased spa cover on 5/6/2022;, received automated order confirmation, then the next week I requested an estimate of the ship date. Made multiple email requests over next 2 weeks; no response to any of them. Subsequently opened a dispute with my credit card issuer who never received a response from them; upon receiving the dispute notice they put my order on hold according to their website, but again, they never contacted me nor did they respond to my credit card issuer. We ordered a spa cover in November of 2021 and it was delivered in February of 2022 damaged and not signed for. We called Florida Spa Covers and they filed a claim with the carrier. The carrier approved the claim and sent the check to Florida Spa Covers. Now Florida Spa Covers does not respond to emails or voicemails. Week after week we call and email with no response. They have been paid for making it and paid for the claim and my daughter who we sent it for Christmas has an unusable spa cover. Worst experience with any company in my lifetime and I am 71. UPDATE: 15 mins after writing this review - I get an update from then company. (I will update my review when the cover arrives and is in my hands) I feel concerned after ordering my cover. I am giving one star so far unless things turn around. ARE YOU STILL IN BUSINESS?? My original order was placed in May 2022 and I paid extra for expedited service. The cover arrived in July!! When it arrived, it was damaged and not accepted (turned away delivery unsigned). I then contacted Florida Spa Covers and got a customer service agent, who sent me confirmation on July 7th 2022 with "rest assured this will be given high priority" blah blah blah; and a new cover has been ordered. I reach out again on the 11th August via email, as I can not get anyone on the phone, or a response to my VM's left. Vanessa again reassures me and explains that she will look into this and get back to me to let me know the progress of my new delivery. Two weeks of calling and pressing option 1 for sales.... no answer; just VM... then trying option 2 for customer service; you guessed it... VM. I have emailed and called and have no response. ZERO!! My wife and I decided to change our hot tub cover last year to a thicker more insulted cover to save on electric bills. The old cover worked great. It just could have been thicker. We ordered a replacement cover from Florida Spa Covers who sells Prestige Spa Covers. The cover arrived in a well-packed box and we installed it the next day. We had no issues for the first six to eight months. Then, more and more, we noticed the cover getting heavy and soaked with water. It started requiring the two of us to swing it back on the arm. When we did prop it up water came pouring out through the seams! This happened after rain storms. The next thing we noticed was that the water level in the hot tub was getting higher after rain storms. We contacted Florida Spa Covers who told us we need to contact Prestige Spa Covers (PSC) about the problem. Here is the order of events after that initial phone call: 1) Contacted PSC. PSC told us that the inserts need to be flipped and that would fix the problem. I did not see why that would matter but inserts were flipped and the problem still occurred. Water was still coming into the cover and the hot tub. Note that the inside of the cover where the inserts are stored was covered in mold from being wet. We spent a lot of time cleaning the mold. 2) PSC told us that they would send new inserts. Inserts came and were installed. Water still came into the covers and into the pool. 3) PSC told us to flip the inserts. That would fix the problem. Inserts flipped and problem still occurred. Water still came into the covers and into the pool. Mold again. 4) PSC sent us a huge shower cap device to cover the hot tub. That obviously worked but it took at a minimum two of us to put it on every time we used the tub. It is huge and is a one-size-fits-all cap. Color does not match what we paid for making it stick out like a sore thumb on our color matched hot tub and deck. Why should we have to struggle to put a cover onto a cover that was itself made to cover a hot tub! I am a retired engineer and at this point in time I decided to do some experimentation to see how all this water was coming into the hot tub. I used plastic and tape and first put water only on the middle seam. Very little if any water at all came into the inside of the cover. I then sealed the center off 8" on each side and sprayed the remaining cover. Water got inside the cover. I then only sprayed the left side and water came into the left side only. Same results with the right side. Finally, I sprayed along the top and let it fall over a small part of the edge seam. Water inside. All this done with the center section still sealed from any water. The conclusion is that the seams leak. By leaking I mean a LOT of water gets inside the cover. After a typical North Carolina rain storm we need to empty the vinyl white covers AND at least five gallons out of the tub. Last week we emptied two five gallon buckets and had to rebalance the pool yet again because of outside water. I let PSC see pictures of all of my experiments. Here is PSC's response to our request for either a fix (other than the huge cap) or our money back is: "I reviewed the photos with my team and unfortunately our covers are not 100% waterproof. We can offer you a cover cap to help keep the water out at no cost. It's similar to a shower cap for your hair." I fully realize that the cover is not waterproof but it is not even good at being water resistant! Buyer beware! We highly recommend that you do not purchase a spa cover through Florida Spa Covers who use Prestige Spa Covers as their manufacturer. If you do you are wasting your hard-earned money and will be a slave to hot tub draining, mold and the higher chemical cost of maintenance. Go elsewhere! read more

I ordered and paid for a spa cover in April 2021. It was delivered in June of 2021. Since having it, it has mildew all over the top and on the underneath flaps. I have owned numerous spas and never had an issue with mildew. Upon calling their number and pressing 2 for customer service, it goes to voicemail and I never get a returned call. Today, I decided to press 1 for sales and of course, I get a live person. Upon explaining my situation to them, the man was very confrontational and advised me that they used another company and stopped using them shortly after my order was completed. When I asked why I have to deal with their subcontractor instead of them, the man got even worse and upon asking for his name, he hung up on me. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Typical niceness when placing the order and getting your money and then the customer service goes right out the window. By the way...take a look at the responses when someone complains on the BBB, THAT should give you a good idea of what to expect if you incur an issue with customer service with this company!!! read more

I called the company to ask how to measure the area for the hot tub cover. I did not know if it should be from the inside lips of tub or edge to edge on the outside. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice and indicated he could look up the size based on the model of my tub. I shared the information with him, trusting that he knew what he was doing,etc. The cover arrived and it was too big; I refused the delivery. The information they gave me was wrong and in fact I checked the cover size from same reference (I believe) and it does state the same size as the company sent. BUT this size is inaccurate. It would have been much better for the sales rep to advise me how to measure since now they are saying they will not refund or replace the cover. AND they have been rude to boot. They also did not include the blanket cover with the delivery and have refused to refund this money too. Completely ignoring the fact that this was never received. I wish I had read reviews before going with them. Once they get the sale, you are on your own and I would advise NOT TO WASTE your money with this company. Horrible customer service. Update: Florida Spa Covers agreed to remedy the situation by shipping the double wrapped vapor barrier inserts as originally ordered. Regretfully, during transit those inserts were punctured and the vapor barrier compromised. However, in the process of replacing the single vapor barrier insert that had been on the tub for roughly 45 days, water was visible on the inside of the vapor barrier. It is apparent the quality of the vapor barrier seal is poor and not 100% sealed. Consequently, the foam inserts will quickly become saturated, water logged and too heavy to be supported by the cover lift. The quality of the covers is questionable. Original Review: Ordered cover on 8/29 from Florida Spa Covers received on 11/5, CC charged upon order placement. Product was from Prestige Spa Covers not Florida Spa Covers as advertised. Prestige has a poor reputation of quality https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/pinellas-park/profile/hot-tub-parts/prestige-spa-covers-0653-6018467. Advertised double wrap 6 mil vapor barrier on insulation received only a single wrap. Box was heavily damaged. C-channel center supports separated from the foam as they were only secured with duct tape. Reinforced hinge and stitching is not as advertised, hinge will likely separate within 12-24 months based upon prior experience. Stitching on skirt was defective causing the skirt to stick out and catch the wind defeating it's purpose. I am a construction engineer by trade and review materials and quality for a living, the overall quality is fair to poor. Recommend paying more for better quality. read more
