I hired this company at the recommendation of my realtor since I was new to the area I just went…read morewith who they suggested. 2 of my windows the springs were broken and the windows would not stay up and in the attic the dryer vent was not even attached and was squashed. He would have seen this had he have went up in the attic. They also stated my main shut off valve was in a location that was actually the hot water only valve. I gave them an extra star since the inspector did come back out and assisted to find the home shut off valve (which we never did and I hired a plumber to install - but this was all on my since it was after the sale) They did send someone out to fix the springs in the window after I noticed it. Unfortunately, my husband has to replace the dryer hose in attic. Also, save your money on the termite inspection. They listed any wood issues as "wood destroying organisms" and listed "wood rot" in this report and checked off the YES box. I did not need them to tell me the bottom of the wood trim on the garage door had rot, that should have been in the regular report. Save the money and the headache and hire a different company if you want the inspection to be done correct and list what you really need and do what they say they will do.

The cost is crazy expensive, and they don't do the complete job. We still have water and mold (and no drywall) after spending nearly $10,000 on about 20 feet of first story "remediation" The job took them a day so imagine the hourly rate - more than a brain surgeon. There is no guarantee or warranty on the work, or none that they honor. They don't do the finish work so you need to contract that out additionally. You should use them to find the mold, suggest a solution, then RUN to find someone else who will do the work at a much more reasonable cost, and probably better. I'm incredibly frustrated and disappointed and still need to spend at least another $5,000-$10,000 to get it done properly. This is a tiny place. You know the feeling you get when you were just conned? They are responsive at getting out quickly, so there's no fault there. I just would never, ever refer business to them or use them again.

He promptly came the next day and took samples under the sink and did air testing downstairs and upstairs (I was worried about airborne mold hidden in walls or hvac). I received a very detailed lab report a few days later along with Joe's recommendations on how to remedy the situation. Joe is VERY friendly, reliable, and is knowledgeable about mold. Once work got started we had cameras set up in our house so we would check up on them from our hotel room. The crew was very messy. They didn't cover any of our belongings while they hung drywall. They left trash everywhere in our house (food wrappers, soda cans). They goofed off, watched videos on their phones and did very shoddy work. I'd say at least a third of their work had to be redone. This was all because of what would be a constant problem: no supervisor on site. EVER. The contractor in charge of our job was never to be seen. He would occasionally stop by first thing in the morning to drop off supplies, but was never around more than 10 minutes. I was in regular contact with him trying to understand why things were taking so long and why they were being done so poorly, but I had to also figure out that he was a "fast talker". He would constantly make deadlines and miss them. Promise things would be fixed, but they wouldn't get fixed or it wouldn't be done correctly and needed to be fixed a second time. This became the common routine since he never inspected any of the work done. He also wouldn't provide his workers with proper materials and they were always back and forth to Home Depot or Lowe's. I can understand running into an issue and needing extra supplies, but this was every day. One day I happened to be home while they were working and they wanted to stop work because they had been given the wrong toe kicks to match our cabinets so I went to Home Depot myself and bought them so they could carry on with other work. It was ridiculous. This also meant that I became the defacto crew leader at times. I had to follow everything they did and make notes of what wasn't done correctly or done at all and report back to the company like I worked for them. Our bathroom needed a new vanity and I had to measure the space for a new one because he couldn't be bothered to. Surprise surprise, my measurement was incorrect because I'm not a contractor (didn't account for outward swinging doors) but he bought a vanity based on my incorrect measurements anyway. Two more days lost This went on and on for months. Meanwhile, my wife and newborn son have been stuck on the second floor because the first floor is a jobsite run by a company with no sense of urgency, but very excited to get paid. I made the mistake of giving them payment up front for the first half of work and I think that had a lot to do with them dragging their heels because once they heard I had a second check from my insurance company they would not stop asking about it. It made me wonder if they were having cash flow problems because they seemed desperate for the money. In case anyone reading this doesn't know already, you DO NOT have to pay up front for ANY WORK. Payments are made when work is done like any other business. But the owners and supervisors at Anderson insist they are entitled to that money immediately. It took a conference call with my insurance adjuster and them to lay things out plainly. They had dragged their heels long enough and it was time to finish the job or not get paid. They magically completed everything in a week.
