They should have done this immediately when I called for an initial appt. The centralized call center has multiple personnel; some of them have such a thick accent where it is hard to understand them. This is important in a stressful healthcare situation. When you come into the Davie office, you have to check in remotely with someone via a live stream monitor. I was originally scheduled with Andrew. I arrived before my appt. time. That time came and went. I asked about this and found out that my therapist was changed to Carl. The facility is not professional, clean, or organized. Too crowded with staff/patients. PTs present were not observing their patients during exercises to ensure proper technique. They were busy treating another patient instead and only looked over at the other patient occasionally. The initial evaluation was not done in private; instead, out in the open with other patients present. I came in to try laser tx (previous experience was successful) and/or PEMF. My therapist Carl (DPT) should have been knowledgeable about these modalities. He was not able to discuss these with me at all. He started me on exercises that I had already been doing at home. Root cause was not assessed. When I was leaving, I had to check back in with the remote scheduler. Between her thick accent and the noise at the clinic, I could not understand her so I left. The bottom line for this business appears to be profit over patient care.

I feel like their online appointment app shouldn't schedule appointments when they are really busy. Once I was called the staff was very kind and helpful.  They took my vitals, ran a few tests and called in some prescriptions for me. The process was fast once I was called back. I actually started feeling better by evening. I will definitely continue to choose this UrgentMed location. The waiting room can be long; but probably much faster and less expensive than visiting the ER!

There are a few times that they are WAY behind when it comes to appointments that it makes me wonder what the point of making one is. I had to wait almost 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment because they only had 2 people working at the time. They were apologetic but I was never told there would be a bit of a backup because of this. The location is easy to find and the parking lot has a nice amount of spaces for everyone that needs to come here. The lobby is always clean and there is more than eniugh seating as well. One of their main entrance doors is stuck so there is only one door to come in and out. The rooms are clean but very small so I feel like I'm ontop of everyone when there is more than two people in the room at a time. Overall it's a great urgentmed and my choice in case I get under the weather or need something quick looked at!

Honestly, there were times I felt she had better insight into my hand injuries than some of the doctors I saw. She takes the time to explain everything and makes sure you understand the treatment plan. The entire staff is wonderful -- professional, welcoming, and organized. What really sets this place apart is that it's not a factory pushing patients in and out. You get real one-on-one care, personalized attention, and a treatment plan tailored specifically to you. I've come here for multiple hand injuries and have had great results every time. I made the mistake of going to a different rehab clinic for a shoulder injury once, and I definitely regretted that decision. The level of care just wasn't the same. Hopefully I won't need therapy again anytime soon -- but if I do, I'm sticking with Diana at Florida Hand Therapy and Rehab. Highly recommend.

SELECT Physical Therapy of Plantation has the worst management and personnel for booking!…read moreI've been going there for O.T. with Noreen and everything was going great accept with booking. A few weeks into my O.T. sessions, Sandy, who works the front desk stops on my way out and hands me some documents to give to my doctor for signatures so they can get paid. She demanded that I go that same day to get these signatures. I told her that's not possible for me to drive 20 miles round trip on that day. I told her that I will call them, but she insisted that I drive there instead. I said I will make a call which I did, and the paperwork was signed that day and sent back to Select PT. I started my first PT session with someone called Patrick. Immediately I noticed something odd about him. He seemed like someone with no soul and lacked communication skills. No introduction but get on with the session. He would only look at his laptop while giving me directions on what's next. Creepy!!!. A few days later, my next sessions was with Christopher. He is the total opposite of Patrick. Chris was great to work with. He introduced himself with a smile and a plan on how he was going to help me. I immediately connected with him and, I can see that he had the communication skills necessary to work with me and other people like me, that are suffering form chronic pain. He made me feel comfortable. I asked Chris if he can be my PT coach because I didn't like Patrick's demeanor. In fact I had to ask Chris what Patrick's name was. That's how bad the session went with Patrick! I was a few weeks into my PT with Chris and I was anxious to get there, the travel was about 12 miles. As I entered the office I was stopped by Sandy while she's talking to the bookkeeper again about additional documents that had not been signed by my doctor. In the back room I hear this lady say that she had sent the documents a few times and again, no one there ever called me about this issue. Moving on, Sandy called Chris to the front desk to start my PT for that day, as I was lead back to the PT room Chris was called back to the front desk. As he was coming back from the front desk he tells me that Patrick had to do an evaluation on me. Evaluation? I was confused. Patrick approaches me with his laptop that he's always staring into and proceeds to tell me that they could not do my Physical Therapy today and that I had to leave the premises. At first I was shocked on the way I was treated. Before this happened, I had told them that I would get the paperwork signed from my doctor and that I would follow up just as the first time this had happened. Well, I felt like I was being punished for something that no one brought to my attention earlier and all this could nonsense could have been avoided and I could of proceeded with my PT. I'm coming here for chronic pain therapy but, instead, I'm being punished do to the lack of their communication with me. I had called back Sandy the same day after I left to tell her that I spoke with the doctors office and that they had signed the documents and sent them back. Sandy said she'll get back to me to verify they got it. I didn't hear from Sandy, so the next day I called and I asked her if they got the signed documents. She still couldn't verify it, she was only concerned if I was coming in for my March 31, visit. I said to her, Why should my PT be interrupted for the lack of the bookkeepers job? She replied, "Well we are to busy to call everyone" So I replied back, "Select PT is a is a big corporation with multiple offices and that my PT session should not have been interrupted by a poorly managed group or just a lazy bookkeeper! I'm going to get in touch with Select PT HR department and make sure they are aware of this. Sandy tells me that we'll see me on the next visit. I Replied: "Are you kidding? I refuse to drive 12 miles, looking forward for some healing of my chronic pain issue not knowing if I'm going to be to be turned away for my session when I arrive. I find this extremely poor management, disrespectful and disgraceful conduct of you Sandy, the Bookkeeper and Patrick! I cancelled all my future appointments!

My first visit was with Dr. MELIANA TRINIDAD so before I went I did my research. All seemed fine. I had the visit had a good rapport with her and we scheduled me for testing. All went well there too. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome and nerve damage down my left arm. We set up occupational therapy and all was good there. I had scheduled a followup appointment with Dr Trinidad and here is where I lost patience and respect for this practice. My initial followup was scheduled for a specific date and time AND doctor coinciding with my therapy. That appointment was changed. The date, time, place (they have other locations) and Dr. was all changed. Did they call to ask my input? NO! They changed the appointment completely without notify me or asking if it was OK to change especially the Dr. So I rescheduled the appointment with Dr Trinidad for a different date. Now I just received a text to confirm my appointment only to find out it has all been changed again. I will not be going back to this practice. I do not appreciate that my time and schedule (I have a life too) means nothing to them that they would willy nilly mess around with a persons schedule without getting the patient's input. Now I've just found out she will not even be in the practice the entire month of November. If the patients mean that little to you then I can't be a patient there. My time and schedule are just as important as theirs.
