This time, however, we brought our kids along too. In 2021, my wife did an encounter that included shaking hands/flippers with a dolphin, rubbing their back as they swam by, and performing a couple basic training signs. For this trip, we each did the Memory Maker Meet encounter, which included the shaking hands/flippers and back rub, but most importantly, having a dolphin paint us a picture. We each chose two colors and held a canvas out while a pair of dolphins (Reese and Louie on that day) took turns spinning around with paint brushes in their mouths painting the canvases. It was very much worth the time and extra cost. Throughout the day there are opportunities included even with basic admission to watch training sessions or learn about caring for dolphins. You can very easily have a fun day and support a great cause at the same time.

One completely unintentional and unexpected highlight was getting to interact with dolphins as they swam right around our boat. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Kathy immediately recognized how special this moment could be for us and she made sure to capitalize on it in a way only a true captain could. She made sure we got the opportunity to fully take this in...something we will never forget! From start to finish, they were thoughtful, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Every detail was considered, and they took such great care to make sure the kids had the absolute best time. It was clear how much they genuinely care about creating meaningful, memorable experiences for families. We couldn't recommend Family Fun Boat Tour Co more highly. If you're visiting Islamorada, especially with kids, this is an absolute must. We will definitely be back!

The catamarans were easy to drive. Our guide was great and took pictures and shared them with us as well as the route we took. We were in a larger group and did not leave on time. The guide told us to not worry as we would get our full time on the water. He was right we spent 2 hours and 10 minutes on the water. Just that would say that they are an honest and above-board company! We took drinks and ice. They had a cooler for us to use. The navy was doing touch and goes from their base. We flew under the jets and it was one of the coolest things that I have done. You could almost reach out and touch the planes with how low that they were flying. I can't wait to be in Key West again to take this tour.

It was a fun experience. The boats aren't completely clear as pictured but bottom you can see through. Guide was fun, had some facts about the wildlife but was young and didn't grow up in the area so a learned speech kind of situation. He let us kind of go at own pace. Saw one shark before we even left the dock but jellyfish, crabs, fish mostly on the water. Would probably try a different company next time just to see the difference but had a great time doing something we've never done before!
