Took a private pistol shooting course with Mike or Matt (apologies as I forgot the name) and it was fantastic and very reasonably priced. When buying a firearm, they go over all the safety and mechanics of the gun to make sure you are comfortable and safe with your purchase. There are PLENTY of fun stores/ranges, Gator guns is 10 blocks west and has a range and much better. USA defense is like 1 mile south on Forest hill blvd. Palm beach shooting center is 2 miles away south on 95 with a range. Do not give these bums your business. read more

I have spent thousands of dollars with these guys paying their inflated prices trying to support local business. For the second time in 2 weeks I walked out empty handed because the customer service is absolutely terrible. They are very busy, which is great, but the employees have no clue which customers to help next so they just take whoever is standing in front of them. After standing at the counter and being passed over twice today for customers who walked in well after I did I spoke up, and was looked at like I was being unreasonable. I hate to do it but I am headed home to order everything I need online. Called about 2 weeks ago asking for Ammo pricing and was told he couldn't give us pricing. I explained we were far away from the store and previously purchased a Riffle and just needed to know if they had .223 Ammo. The person then said that "all the computers in their store were in use, which one could tell is was a lie and "we can't give you pricing you would have to come to the store to find out if we have the Ammo and what the price is." We again explained we didn't mind going to the store or calling back when the computers were available but that we were traveling 1 1/2 hours each way to get to the store and we didn't want to go all the way there without knowing at least a ballpark number and if they had the Ammo type. The employee then said the owner didn't want to give the information and that once we got to the store the owner would give us a great price. Total lack of customer service on such a simple request...Unfortunate experience considering I have spent a good amount of dollars a this place. If one can't receive the courtesy and consideration of a simple price or stock confirmation before making a 3 hour drive, then it is best to avoid this place. read more

I am very unimpressed with this placeI made an appointment one week in advance I was 10 minutes late I was greeted by not so friendly Couple at the door, I mentioned I had a 1 on 1 with Mike I was told very quickly by the girl at the computer it's canceled because I was 10min late... I'm unfamiliar with the area and was not sure where to go I parked on the opposite side of the building,where my gps took me then walked to other side of the building to be turned away. She asked if I'd like to reschedule,and I replied No Thanks.. I'm a business owner and for me to get time to do this is very difficult for me so I will not be returning to this place. I saw this store on the news and was thrilled to see that they took the safety and security of their patrons so seriously. They prefer that people do not wear face masks in there for safety and security reasons - there are a lot of firearms and ammunition and they want to make sure they keep everyone safe. If you feel you personally want to wear a facemask because of the virus you just need to call ahead of time and they will accommodate you. Personally I do not want to be in a gun range where everybody is covering/hiding their faces with face masks. Thank you for keeping my safety ias an utmost priority! read more

They could be good but I wouldn't know. Found their website by Googling courses and apparently their website has been incorrect for some time. I called to book a 1 hour class for my mother, and their site said it was $50. Then when I called to book it, the manager John told me it was double the price $100. Now, I have to start my research all over again to reprice everything. I gave them two stars for my frustrating and their bad phone skills. Sounded like someone kept dropping the phone and then transferred me to John, without telling me he was doing that and I had to repeat everything again. Ugh. read more

Alex (owner) is degrading and a chauvinist. I purchased a very expensive gun that was faulty and he automatically assumed that because I am a woman, I couldn't shoot it. The nice salesman confirmed that it was faulty. After going back and forth, he finally refunded my money which I appreciated great but banned me from the store. As a woman I was nervous and extremely unknowledgeable regarding handguns. I knew what I wanted (a .45 because it was pretty ) looking back I know I jumped in with both feet for an amateur but the staff never made me feel that way. One of the best shops around ignore the rude reviews the I buy 100% of my firearms there and yes they are a very busy shop but if you have patience you will leave satisfied as per the over the phone prices I mean come on most shops won't give prices over the phones it's a policy they have to the people saying I live over an hour away so do most of us we still drive because the store is great and get prices in person sorry if your not patient enough this isn't bass pro shop it's a local shop with store policy and you don't make the rule suddenly disappear to the people saying the staff couldn't help them right away again stop freaking out they'll get to you the second they are done with a customer if there busy I go there and sometimes there's 5 or more people ahead of me and I wait till someone's free to help me with my purchases so when you go to fast food for example and there's 5 people ahead of you what do u do just walk straight to the front because you must be helped now and there's no other people that where hear prior to you get real they'll help you in the order that people got to the shop there's no exceptions to that rule it's basic manners read more

Hands down, this place beats going to a "normal" range. Had two awesome training sessions with Dave last week on vaca in FL (had to come back for more after the first session)! We worked on transition between multiple targets with controlled pairs and movement while shooting. If you're tired of standing on a line and want to get some actual dynamic training in (at any level), Guns and Training Center setup for exactly that. read more

I love Gun and Range! I can not believe how much I have improved my shot grouping even after the first lesson with Jon. He is patient, professional, has a great sense of humor and makes each lesson new and exciting. Jon takes the time to make sure you understand the concepts and training. It's so much better than just going to any other range because you have the range to yourself and are able to do all kinds of different drills, from moving drills, to box drills, multiple targets, etc. I bought my 9mm Sig Sauer there and I will buy all of my guns to come at Gun & Range. read more
