Normally wouldn't waste the time writing a review but this was bad enough to help other people avoid this business. arrived early for a pre-paid 1 on 1 that I paid for as person on phone said it was the only way to book a lane for a solid hour.. waited nearly hour for instructor that was late.. while waiting I asked multiple times to purchase a DOT and wanted to look at punching other products to no avail. clearly not a VIP to earn any attention here. after the two magaizes and 5 minutes of shooting on lane. Let that sink in. I waited 2 hours to fire 2 mags.. went to purchase more ammo after the "lesson" now the POS is down and no way to purchase.. left and called to explain this awful experience to no avail. Not a great birthday present to myself but worse is just being mistreated and trying to handle this fair and professionally and basically told to screw myself at the end is enough to make anyone write a review like this. awful experience with no intent to correct. go to another lane that wont rip you off and treat you like a POS read more

Great place to shoot! It has been under new management for a couple years, and you can see the improvements in the store as well as inside the range. The new staff is there to help with all your questions.The best part about it are the ranges are clean and the ventilation works correctly. Another plus about this range, is if you don't have your own gun, you can rent one of theirs. This is especially helpful if you want to try a certain gun before you buy it. read more

A new gun, a new range. I drove down the street and the red building was a nice sight, I'm here. Now to find parking, the shooting center like all of them these days is busy, lucked out a wee corner spot was open. I was greeted as soon as i went in, directed to fill out the waiver/info form on one of their apple pads. Ive done the same in a few of the other shops. Easy process. The range was busy, some instruction going on so j had a 30 minute wait. Easy to kill time in a gun shop, lots to look at, listen to and watch. The cases had a nice array of hand guns and some rifles. Their rental gun choice was pretty impressive. Better then most. Time passed, range time. The range had 10 ports, was well lit, clear dividers, and good ventilation. I didnt feel any pressure, eyes watching if you will. I set up and let it go, the target controls worked nicely. Was a good time. Range rules are all pretty similar, no double tap, no combat firing, no holster draws. Its insurance, its safety. 30 years on the job, range time is used for sight work, trigger pull, its all part of it. Ive seen floors shot, ceilings shot, lights knocked down. Be safe. read more

Responsible rapid fire is now also allowed. Training classes for all levels of experience are available as well as concealed weapons courses, one on one training and virtual training simulator. I'm an experienced shooter and been to several ranges in PB and SL counties. This range is clean and safe with a friendly staff. Not sure about others who's feelings were hurt by being told not to shoot too quickly but I didn't have any issues. If you're looking for a nice and safe range to shoot with a collections new and used guns for sale, this is a good choice. read more

Apparently the business in under new management and their friendly staff and organized welcome-aboard process was a pleasure. With perks for vets and overall great service for all, this shooting center is a professionally run operation. I enjoyed my first visit so much that I finally decided to buy a Ruger that I wanted and did so without any worry. I picked it up less than a week later - today in fact. Under new ownership and boy is it ever nice. Their air filtration system works way better than the range at Lotus where you can literally taste the lead in the air. Stuart Shooting Center - great if you are a new shooter and need someone to stand behind you. Those of us in law enforcement for many years, who qualify 4x/year, who participate in tactical operations and sting take downs, we don't shoot on our own time to work on 'how to shoot SLOWER.' I did a few double taps - nothing dangerous like shooting from the holster (god forbid) - nothing I shot missed the paper, much less the rings on the target, and was told I had to put a second between shots so that other shooters don't think it's ok. (Now I'm a bad example to civilians on gun handling?? Are you kidding me.) Don't ask a shooter if they are L.E. to give them some discount, then treat them like it's their first time in a target range bay. It's not a hobby for us in law enforcement to shoot. It's not a pastime. I give two stars, the place was clean and the equipment worked, but didn't serve my occasional needs to sharpening my skills. And to be treated like I did something wrong, with a suggestion that shooting fast and accurate is reckless, is insulting and a poor reflection on them as a training facility. read more

Best Indoor Range Hands Down Friendly, patient staff who want you to have fun shooting at their range. Plenty of range safety officers visible, approachable and helpful any time we've been there. Their building is brand new, well lit and well appointed with full cover ballistic shields between lanes, HEPA filtration which keeps the range air fresh and lead free with a very comfortable observation area and classroom for training. The NRA handgun basics course offered is excellent. The instructor, Gary is knowledgeable and patient. Gary took the time to ensure that each person in the class became familiar with pistol handling basics, going so far as to allow us to handle and practice with several of his personal pistols. This extra hands on attention was a great exposure to the variety of handguns one might encounter. Gary's calm, reassuring and helpful instruction afforded even a novice shooter with the insight and practical info needed to feel comfortable inside the range and out. The price was very reasonable- $65, but after experiencing the class, it was worth 3 times that rate for the individual attention. Gary made each of us feel as though we had private, one on one instruction. The family owned Stuart Shooting Center is absolutely the best place to enjoy shooting in Martin County! read more

My Brother and I visited one afternoon and enjoyed the time. They seem very focused towards safety which makes for a relaxing environment. (The last thing you need is someone using deadly weapons in an unsafe manner) They treated us very well when we accidentally exceeded our allotted range time and did not charge us for our mistake. I am quite disappointed they would not allow me to draw from my holster at the firing line but I can see how that's a safety concern. They don't know any customer's level of training when they walk in the door so they chose the only safe course of action for their range. Ideally they modify the range in a way that would allow drawing from a holster without endangering other customers. ...If shoot my own stupid self in the butt there's a waiver for that. Haha. While I'm being nit-picky, I'll mention their gun cleaning service. $20 to field strip a gun and clean it. In my opinion, that's no good. If they would spend the money on cleaning equipment to offer a service I cannot already do in five minutes on my kitchen table, it would be worth it. All things considered, it's a very good range to practice. The range fee is competitive and you don't have to drive far to get trigger time. I would recommend it along with safe dry fire practices at home for drawing. read more

First time at the range. First impression was that it is a nice place nice equipment however no availability to rent by the half hour forcing a $19 per hour I was in for 40 min trying to take my time. Though I am not a highly experienced shooter I do like to practice 2-3 consecutive shots onto a full body target. This is not permitted. I was able to use my own ammo (new in box) so that was a plus. The store side had little to lust over. Knowledgeable staff. a lot of rentals available with a rent by caliber system. Good place. read more

This was my favorite range as it's always clean and well maintained. Despite moving away and having 2 other ranges closer to my house I would do the longer drive to come here but not anymore. The quality of service is hit or miss, some employees are very friendly and helpful while others are the bare minimum professional politeness and helpfulness. My man Rusty is an awesome guy who is more than happy to help and work with you if you are looking for pointers as he is outgoing and has a radiant passion for helping people become more knowledgeable and skilled at shooting. After some pointers, he helped me tighten up my accuracy tenfold, but even more so strengthened my confidence in shooting which means a lot to me. Called ahead of time and spoke with Bobby, he was very helpful and inviting. I was visiting from out of state and my Sister and I have not been to a shooting range before and we wanted help with shooting her 38. Gary was our guy. He helped her to learn about her revolver and set her up. I rented a 22. He helped me with how to hold, load, unload and aim the gun. We had such a good time we came back the next day and I rented a 9 mm. Again, he helped me with instructions and I found that this was my type of weapon. Later he showed me the different brands and their differences. Thank you to Gary for his patience and quality instructions. Kept jamming , after the 3rd jam the shop let me exchange for a different brand and model 22lr which functioned much better . Looking forward to going back when I'm in Florida again . read more

Terrible experience today at Stuart Shooting Center. Range stooge interfered with our shooting session wanted to offer a young lady I was coaching unsolicited shooting advise. I was standing behind her and he reached past me and touched her shoulder while she was firing to get her attention. Extremely dangerous and unprofessional. I told him to stop..to stand back and just stop. We packed up and left. Requested and received our money back. Reported the incident to the man at the front counter who told us he was the owner and his employee lied to him and said she was shooting the ground. She was not and I showed him her target. Go to this range if you know nothing and want to be instructed by know-it-alls...but be warned..they are full of shit. read more

I have been a happy yearly member since the Stuart Shooting Center has opened. The facility is very nice. The air is kept clean with 40 tons of AC moving and filtering the air away from the shooters. The Staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and considerate to your needs as a beginner or a seasoned shooter.
