I know you don't know me, but I had such a wonderful experience taking Mike's class I want to share my experience. First, I would like to explain my experience from the first concealed class I took over two years ago. A friend and I took a concealed class; it cost $90 for 3 hours. We discuss some of the laws and shot a few rounds from the gun I rented. We left with the documentation to carry a concealed weapon. Now, do I feel I am capable of handling a gun and knowing what to do, the answer is NO. I also did not know how to clean my gun; I think that is essential if I own a gun. Than was my experience with my first concealed weapon course. The other day my same friend and I took Mike's concealed weapon course. The class took about 8 hours; now that was because of ME; I was having problems hitting the target. Now, Mike did not say "OK your time is up?" NO, he stayed with me/us until the shooting range closed. He spent time going over the laws that relate to concealed weapons, he reviewed what the NRA is about and how important it is to understand and know how to handle a gun and SAFETY, and we learned how to clean the guns (gee that is amazing concept, I need to know how to clean my gun! LOL), we then went to the shoot range to practice. There were three in the class so he could spend quality time with all of us. One of the other attendees had his own gun and Mike took the time to ensure he know how to load, clean, and care for his gun. Now that I have completed Mike's class he is willing to help me purchase a gun, when I am ready to buy a gun. I don't want to get a gun that is too much for me and I don't have the time and expense to find out what is best for me. But Mike is there for me. Have you ever completed a course and the instructor is there to help you after the course is completed? Now, if you had an instructor help you after the class, I am happy for you. But that has not been my experience. I have another friend that purchased on Groupon for a concealed weapon course for two. I am waiting to see what her course and experience is like. I understand is might be for a few dollars less, but I am sure it will not be anywhere close to what I received from Mike at JDM Tactical. And I cannot image that the instructor will be there after the course is complete; now I know that is not fair for me to say that. But I can only go by my experience and I remember my first concealed course and it was nothing compared to my JDM Tactical experience. If I could I would give 10 stars! read more

I met Mike aka "Stitch" several months ago at Shoot Straight in Wellington. He recognized the crossed sabers on my hat and introduced himself to me. We had something in common, the military, although his time in was much more extensive than mine. He told me he was a firearms instructor with JDM Tactical and was waiting for some clients. JDM Tactical is unbelievable! My husband and I took our CWC 2 years ago and learned ZERO. There is no way we could purchase a gun and use it by what we learned in that class. That's why we never even submitted our applications to get our permits. Absolutely no way!! In order to properly prepare us for becoming gun owners, My husband, our 11 year old daughter and I all took Mike's beginners class. First of all the professionalism and safety precautions were top notch. He could see when we were nervous and assured us of our safety and to take all the time we needed. JDM Tactical offers a great value. We recently took their NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course to obtain our CCW Permit. Mike was both knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. Last week I met Mike at the shooting range and had a great conversation with him. Although I had shot before my wife never had. I decided to hire Mike for a series of lessons to help my wife become comfortable with the whole process of shooting and self defense with a weapon. After weeks of research looking for a training class to get my concealed weapons permit and teach me how to properly use and handle my handgun, I decided to go with Mike Ramos from JDM Tactical training, I meet mike at Shoot-straight while he was training other students, I noticed he truly gave them the time and had the patience with them, I spoke with him briefly after he was done with his class and asked a few questions, he was the real deal a former active duty military with over 20 years of combat and medical training. His class was extremely affordable for what he offered over 9 hours of book work, hands on and actually shooting, he went over every detail from handling the gun, taking it apart, cleaning, proper ammunition, and the why to use it. I recently took Instructor Stitch's (Mike Ramos) Basic Pistol course. I hunt so I am familiar with rifles, but I'm not proficient with pistols, so I really wanted to understand them before considering purchasing. The class had a great mix of instruction and hands on experience and he walked us all through until we understood and felt comfortable. Instructor Stitch is also really funny, so even while discussing serious topics he kept it fun. After the instruction he took us to the range to put everything we learned into practice. What can I say, proof is in the pudding, using all the techniques Instructor Stitch taught me I hit every target he asked me to hit (only missing once by less than an inch). I wasn't expecting to hit bullseyes, but I feel confident I can hit what I'm aiming at. I can't wait to get back to the range and build upon what he taught me. read more

Today I decided to do something I've been wanting to do for a while and took the course to get my concealed weapons license. I was on the fence on how I felt about firearms. This world is a crazy place with crazy people who have misused weapons to take innocent lives. Guns have always scared me... but this course was so thorough, that I HIGHLY recommend each and every person to take it regardless of your opinion in firearms. Not to change your mind about it but to inform you. I was taught everything from how to take apart and clean a gun, to firearm safety and laws, proper shooting technique and everything in between. As a single mom and a single woman, I really feel so much more comfortable and confident now because I UNDERSTAND the weapon and will continue to practice and learn more about them. I recently purchased two 9mm holsters. One for my Ruger security 9 and one for my Glock 19. The holsters were tailor made for these guns and the fit is spot on! Stitch was FANTASTIC! He happen to be in line near my daughter and I at the gun range teaching some of his students. He overheard our conversation talking about it being my daughters first time - we struck up a conversation and without hesitation he talked my daughter into trying his .22 first instead of the 9mm that I had with me. Spent the day today taking basic pistol course with Mike. Fantastic course excellent instruction and real life role play situations which were incredibly valuable considering life today.
