I know you don't know me, but I had such a wonderful experience taking Mike's class I want to share my experience. First, I would like to explain my experience from the first concealed class I took over two years ago. A friend and I took a concealed class; it cost $90 for 3 hours. We discuss some of the laws and shot a few rounds from the gun I rented. We left with the documentation to carry a concealed weapon. Now, do I feel I am capable of handling a gun and knowing what to do, the answer is NO. I also did not know how to clean my gun; I think that is essential if I own a gun. Than was my experience with my first concealed weapon course. The other day my same friend and I took Mike's concealed weapon course. The class took about 8 hours; now that was because of ME; I was having problems hitting the target. Now, Mike did not say "OK your time is up?" NO, he stayed with me/us until the shooting range closed. He spent time going over the laws that relate to concealed weapons, he reviewed what the NRA is about and how important it is to understand and know how to handle a gun and SAFETY, and we learned how to clean the guns (gee that is amazing concept, I need to know how to clean my gun! LOL), we then went to the shoot range to practice. There were three in the class so he could spend quality time with all of us. One of the other attendees had his own gun and Mike took the time to ensure he know how to load, clean, and care for his gun. Now that I have completed Mike's class he is willing to help me purchase a gun, when I am ready to buy a gun. I don't want to get a gun that is too much for me and I don't have the time and expense to find out what is best for me. But Mike is there for me. Have you ever completed a course and the instructor is there to help you after the course is completed? Now, if you had an instructor help you after the class, I am happy for you. But that has not been my experience. I have another friend that purchased on Groupon for a concealed weapon course for two. I am waiting to see what her course and experience is like. I understand is might be for a few dollars less, but I am sure it will not be anywhere close to what I received from Mike at JDM Tactical. And I cannot image that the instructor will be there after the course is complete; now I know that is not fair for me to say that. But I can only go by my experience and I remember my first concealed course and it was nothing compared to my JDM Tactical experience. If I could I would give 10 stars! read more

I met Mike aka "Stitch" several months ago at Shoot Straight in Wellington. He recognized the crossed sabers on my hat and introduced himself to me. We had something in common, the military, although his time in was much more extensive than mine. He told me he was a firearms instructor with JDM Tactical and was waiting for some clients. So I decided to hang out and observe some of the shooters on the firing line. Mike's clients finally showed up and I got to watch a true professional at work. I was impressed with what I was watching although I could not hear his verbal instructions. I am a frequent customer at Shoot Straight and got to talk to Stitch and observe his training sessions many times. Each time I gleaned a little more information and again was impressed with his training techniques. One of my coworkers had expressed interest in getting his CCP, I told him about JDM Tactical. I also told him I could use a refresher and would take the course with him if he was interested. I've had a CCP well over 30 years and thought it would be a good idea to catch up on the legal aspects and get some constructive advice on shooting techniques. Well, my coworker took the course and as promised I took it with him. What a great experience it was, it doesn't matter if you are a first time shooter or have had a CCP for years. For me it was an on going education course and I got some great pointers on technique. Mike's attention to detail and safety is second to none, not to mention his outgoing personality and knowledge base is outstanding. If you are interested in the shooting sports or getting your CCP, JDM Tactical is the way to go and Mike aka "Stitch" is the Instructor you are looking for! read more

JDM Tactical is unbelievable! My husband and I took our CWC 2 years ago and learned ZERO. There is no way we could purchase a gun and use it by what we learned in that class. That's why we never even submitted our applications to get our permits. Absolutely no way!! In order to properly prepare us for becoming gun owners, My husband, our 11 year old daughter and I all took Mike's beginners class. First of all the professionalism and safety precautions were top notch. He could see when we were nervous and assured us of our safety and to take all the time we needed. We learned so much Information that I never even thought played a role in using a gun. Yes it is a long day.... but wouldn't you want that when learning about handling a gun?!?! Wouldn't you want to know every aspect of a gun?? You need these tools to properly operate the gun SAFELY. We learned how to take the guns apart, how to clean them, how to put them back together, how to load them, how to choose ammunition, what to do if it malfunctions etc. We will now be working with Mike on private shooting lessons so that we can again properly prepare our family to SAFELY own and use a gun. I would recommend JDM to everyone!!! They are 100% a 5 Star company that are truly there to help you and prepare you in EVERY way possible to be a SAFE gun owner. Way to go JDM! read more

JDM Tactical offers a great value. We recently took their NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course to obtain our CCW Permit. Mike was both knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. Not the usual boring course offered around town. Mike takes his time to focus on each individual and paces the learning process with retention. Safety and Attitude is number one with Mike and he provides a full compliment of handgun materials for the course (to take home) as well as a variety of training weapons. He covers every topic including use, care (actual hands on training of cleaning) and storage. During our range time, Mike was right there every step of the way to reinforce safety, teach proper posture, sighting and provide any technical improvements. He also offers to assist with research and purchase of weapons and accessories. Since this will be our first handgun purchase we plan to take him up on that. I would highly recommend Mike's course to anyone looking for a thorough course tailored to achieving a higher level of understanding with that personal touch. The high quality of Mike's training was unexpected based on reviews of other providers and now we know we made the right choice. Don't settle for less when it comes to your safety, go with Mike at JDM Tactical. read more

Last week I met Mike at the shooting range and had a great conversation with him. Although I had shot before my wife never had. I decided to hire Mike for a series of lessons to help my wife become comfortable with the whole process of shooting and self defense with a weapon. Today was the first lesson with Mike... he spent an hour with my wife and I ...taking the time to learn about her and why she wanted to learn to shoot before even stepping on to the range. His knowledge and expertise was immediately seen. In just one hour my wife was able to learn to shoot a bit but more importantly was able to learn to respect the weapon and feel more comfortable with a weapon. She and I can't wait to continue to learn from Mike and how to properly handle and fire a weapon. If you're looking for an instructor that cares and wants to make a difference ... you've found the right one in Mike at JDM Tactical. read more

After weeks of research looking for a training class to get my concealed weapons permit and teach me how to properly use and handle my handgun, I decided to go with Mike Ramos from JDM Tactical training, I meet mike at Shoot-straight while he was training other students, I noticed he truly gave them the time and had the patience with them, I spoke with him briefly after he was done with his class and asked a few questions, he was the real deal a former active duty military with over 20 years of combat and medical training. His class was extremely affordable for what he offered over 9 hours of book work, hands on and actually shooting, he went over every detail from handling the gun, taking it apart, cleaning, proper ammunition, and the why to use it. I would give him 10 stars if it was possible. I'm looking forward to taking more advanced classes with him in the near future. Bravo Zulu Mike! read more

I recently took Instructor Stitch's (Mike Ramos) Basic Pistol course. I hunt so I am familiar with rifles, but I'm not proficient with pistols, so I really wanted to understand them before considering purchasing. The class had a great mix of instruction and hands on experience and he walked us all through until we understood and felt comfortable. Instructor Stitch is also really funny, so even while discussing serious topics he kept it fun. After the instruction he took us to the range to put everything we learned into practice. What can I say, proof is in the pudding, using all the techniques Instructor Stitch taught me I hit every target he asked me to hit (only missing once by less than an inch). I wasn't expecting to hit bullseyes, but I feel confident I can hit what I'm aiming at. I can't wait to get back to the range and build upon what he taught me. read more

Today I decided to do something I've been wanting to do for a while and took the course to get my concealed weapons license. I was on the fence on how I felt about firearms. This world is a crazy place with crazy people who have misused weapons to take innocent lives. Guns have always scared me... but this course was so thorough, that I HIGHLY recommend each and every person to take it regardless of your opinion in firearms. Not to change your mind about it but to inform you. I was taught everything from how to take apart and clean a gun, to firearm safety and laws, proper shooting technique and everything in between. As a single mom and a single woman, I really feel so much more comfortable and confident now because I UNDERSTAND the weapon and will continue to practice and learn more about them. Knowledge is power. What a great experience read more

Stitch was FANTASTIC! He happen to be in line near my daughter and I at the gun range teaching some of his students. He overheard our conversation talking about it being my daughters first time - we struck up a conversation and without hesitation he talked my daughter into trying his .22 first instead of the 9mm that I had with me. She felt immediately comfortable and it made for a very enjoyable time. Nothing he had to gain from being so friendly - except two new friends and total respect for who he is and what he does. Would DEFINITELY recommend to ANYONE looking for an extremely knowledgeable teacher - I walked out knowing a lot more than I knew going in. THANK you. read more

Spent the day today taking basic pistol course with Mike. Fantastic course excellent instruction and real life role play situations which were incredibly valuable considering life today. Mike is passionate and extremely knowledgeable but also made the course fun. As a first time shooter he taught me to be a confident accurate shooter using a variety of guns. I highly recommend this course for anyone who decides to own a gun. I can't wait to continue learning from this awesome team. Thanks for a great first time experience! read more

I bought a shotgun through JDM Tactical during Covid 19 crisis and was very happy with the price and the delivery was as quick as I could have expected during the situation. Mike kept me informed of the delivery details and arranged for the pick up at a gun shop near me. I hope to take Mike's shotgun training course when the ranges open up to make sure my wife is comfortable with the weapon. I really appreciated the easy procurement of the weapon and the continued updates on the delivery delays due to the virus crisis. read more

My husband and I took the concealed weapon course and a beginners lesson with Instructor Mike Stitch. We are both new to firearms and Mike was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable handling a firearm and understanding the safety aspects of being a firearm owner. We also learned to clean our firearms as well as hands on training at the gun range. Mike is a very professional and patient instructor. We are looking forward to taking out next course with him in the near future!! read more

I just took Mike's Every Day Carry 8-hour course. The course is great. Getting out of an indoor range and being able to learn and practice important techniques every person who carries should know is great. Top notch instruction and attention. If you carry, you owe it to yourself to take this class. It is well planned and built on what and how a civilian needs to act in a bad situation in the real world. Taking the class is one of the best decisions I have made. Doug S read more

I am an older woman with no firearm experience and I was apprehensive about how successful I would be shooting a pistol. Mike's class and teaching style is excellent. He was encouraging, patient and took the time to ensure that I understood the principles of handling and shooting a pistol safely. Mike gradually implemented what we learned in class at the gun range, which resulted in a safe and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Mike's firearm training class. read more

I took a one hour private shooting lesson from JDM Tacticle after meeting Stitch previously to discuss what I was looking to do. Stitch is very engaging and thought provoking, and after our initial meeting I signed up for the one hour session. During the session there was never any ego, only clear instructions on the basics and assistance on improving my fundamentals. I will definitely take additional sessions with Stitch in the future. Thank you Stitch! read more

Just took my basic pistol course with Mike at JDM, and was impressed with the level of knowledge and training, that you simply won't get from your average course. A veteran with many years of experience, now focused on preparing the rest of us for any situation that comes our way. (Also purchased my gun at his online shop jdmtactical.com for the best value I could find anywhere else on the net, especially now during the pandemic, trust me I searched!). read more

Mike did a great job in delivering our concealed carry class. It's was an interesting combination of education, hands on, and scenario instruction. He was very thorough with a focus on safety first. Our time at the range was very structured and allowed everyone at their own pace experience what we learned in the classroom by dry shooting then qualifying with live rounds. I would recommend Mike whether you are a novice or experienced gun owner. read more
