Carlos Ramírez repaired an old Chippendale camel-back sofa whose solid hard woodbase had collapsed. I had purchased the antique sofa 40+ years ago at an auction in Miami. I wanted to save it. The work required was a combination of carpentry, upholstery & furniture restoration (removing & reinstalling all the springs). Carlos Ramírez responded to my email promptly. He was able to assess the work through a number of detailed photographs I sent (where I tried to explain what was wrong with the sofa.) Within 24 hours after submitting my request, we agreed to have the work done in my home. The work was completed as promised on time. Pulled paint off the walls with the tape he used for plastic cover. Now 2 years later and it is already peeling off the tub. I called them on a Monday morning and was told the guarantee was only 2 years but since it was so close to that time that they would come out and make it right. The man told me a tech would call me before the end of the day to schedule a time to come out and see. By Friday morning I hadn't heard from anyone so I called again. This time a woman answered with attitude and said that was not correct, she had been on vacation all week and whoever told me that was wrong. She would have to check the schedule on Monday and call me back if they would be in the area anytime. She called me on Monday afternoon and told me no one would be in my area this week and that I needed to call back each week to check with her.
