This is an updated review to one I had originally left, however I thought it was important to give…read morea little bit of a backstory to explain why I think this is a great company. Approximately 2 years ago I had the idea that I wanted to add solar to my home. A lot of companies come to your house promising that they are going to provide you solar by replacing your electric bill with a solar loan. Makes sense because in the long term you'll finally get a chance to one day pay off your electric bill. After reviewing companies I finally settled on Mirasol solar. After the first initial installation, I realized by the end of my first year that the panels installed were not adequate to supply the goal of 100% solar energy in one year. This unfortunately created a hardship for me because I was put in the position where I was paying two bills, both the solar and an electric bill. I had posted an original review, in which I loudly complained about the poor estimate that entrapped me with the lower than expected solar production. But here's why I'm giving this company extremely high marks. Rather than telling me to go get a lawyer and good luck with suing them, the CEO of the company called me and committed directly to making my situation right. What proceeded after that was a careful period of evaluation and due diligence on their part to both own up to their mistake, as well as bringing on board necessary resources to correct the problem. They more than lived up to their word. Unfortunately a lot of companies do not operate like them, and if the company makes a mistake you are stuck with the problem and an expensive legal team. That's not how this company operated. With direct leadership interaction and engagement, I now have a system that is running at peak performance and generating quality power. So in summary, the true mark of a good company is not in their level of perfection, although that would be wonderful, but it's in how they honor their word and respect the customer. That was on full display from the top of this company to the individual employees that were quick to respond to my very insistent questions.

Quality of the repair is so far excellent and we've had a lot of hard rain since the work was done!…read more The 3 roofers were considerate and professional and finished quickly, however, based on the arrival time set up the previous night, they were several hours late and we were not contacted. In addition, the quote included lumber supplies and repairs that they claimed were not needed so the job was finished in under 3 hours when we'd expected it would take a full day. The salesman refused to reduce my bill accordingly. So I ended up paying quite a bit more than I should have. Not cool.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Brilliant Harvest Solar. They installed a Tier 1…read moresolar system with two Tesla Powerwalls, primarily for backup power. Their promise was that my electricity usage would be essentially net zero from the grid, leaving me with only the minimum FPL charges. They delivered exactly that--the results are clearly reflected in my actual FPL bills. Their service after installation has been equally impressive. One Powerwall had a defective LED that needed to be RMA'd, and Brilliant Harvest helped me through the entire process. They also advised me about a $1,000 rebate for the two Powerwalls, which I would likely have missed otherwise. What really distinguishes Brilliant Harvest is their personal service. Although they are a large, highly capable company handling major projects--including the solar installation at the Sarasota Office of Planning and Development building, which also serves as a hurricane shelter--they remain remarkably personable and accessible. Every time I visit their office, the owner comes out to shake my hand. That kind of personal attention is rare these days. After the original installation, Brilliant Harvest also installed a Tesla Universal Charger for me. As certified Tesla installers for our region, they were the perfect company to handle the entire system. Brilliant Harvest delivered on their promises, provided excellent workmanship and follow-up service, and treated me like a valued customer throughout the entire process. I highly recommend them to anyone considering solar, battery backup, or EV charging.

Oliver, It was…read morereally good speaking with you today. We wanted to take a minute to thank you and your team for our wonderful solar set up. I know you usually only hear from folks when things go wrong, but we haven't had any issues in the 3 years since our installation. I've been really amazed that the system has worked as well as you promised. I actually think it's performed better. We have averaged less than $150 in a year in electricity costs to Duke Energy (outside of the $8.98 monthly customer charge). We really can't say enough about how smoothly and well managed the project was as a whole. We always sing the praises of Solar Direct when folks ask for recommendations. My inverter failed after 2 years, because apparently that's when many of them fail. It has been FOUR MONTHS of excuses why they haven't gotten someone to install it. These guys ain't it. Update: They have cancelled yet another appointment to replace my inverter because they want to focus on sales installations rather than servicing their existing customers. Think about that before you buy.
