By the second time, The apprentice pulls out the piercing needle, Stuck in, Didn't even hurt. I went in for a $600+ piece and was asked for ID, which I don't have since I don't drive--a requirement I've never encountered at any other shop. When I showed them a photo of my ID and even offered to fax it to them for a physical copy, it wasn't good enough. I asked for a refund of my deposit, but they refused. Nowhere in the shop does it state they require IDs, and there's no mention of a no-refund policy. I had to involve the police department, and after the commotion, the shop owner agreed to refund my $60 deposit to my wife, who then used it to get a mini tattoo. This shop is absolutely trash and was unfortunately recommended to me. We only completed the transaction so we wouldn't lose the deposit. I highly recommend Electric City in Scranton instead--a better shop with nicer people, cleaner work, and cheaper prices. I've never had issues there, despite having over a hundred hours of ink. I'll post this review on every Northeast PA and PA tattoo group page to warn others about this shop's prioritization of profits over customer satisfaction."

Julia elevated the customer experience tremendously. She was friendly, welcoming and professional. Julia's hospitality provided an emotionally, spiritually and hygienically safe space. She was calm, focused and efficient. I got lettering in sensitive places on both arms, and Julia was patient, understanding and thorough. Her conversation was casual and impassioned - she chatted with levity and authenticity. Julia's passion for art, her compassion for artists and her dedication and perfectionism as a craftsperson make me want to go back for more ink. A truly uplifting afternoon.

Through pointing and body language we expressed what colors we wanted. Sadly, the color that I picked was see through which I am not particularly a fan of... when I pointed out to the tech she had no idea what I was saying. Then I asked for a new color... she just added a new color on top of old one making quite a combo on my hands. My friend was done first and paid with her Amex card. Someone told me about this place. I was told the main artist…read morewas fantastic and his artwork looked good to me. They were booked solid so the receptionist recommended another artist. I figured if the main artist is good, then the other artist should be just as good or at least be good enough to work there. I showed up early for my appointment and the artist was late, (bad sign). Instead of working with the artist directly, strangely I had to work through the receptionist (another bad sign). I gave her the picture I wanted as a tattoo, she gave it to the artist, I waited for about a half hour before I got a response. She came out with a different drawing?! I told her I don't want that drawing, I want the one I gave. She went back to the artist, Another half hour went by, she came out with another drawing with a flower next to it ?!! Again, I said I don't want these pictures, I want the one I gave! After waiting for over an hour, I finally got seated. (Wait it gets better). The artist only talked about himself, never asking anything about me or my tattoo choice. I knew something was wrong once he told me he's not an artist and he only had 1 or 2 years experience as a tattooer. I'm an artist myself, so I thought how bad can it be, it a simple tattoo? I was wrong. Judge for yourself, check out the Swiss Army knife photo. Line work is bad, one blade looks like it's floating. If you decide to use this place, make sure you use the main artist. I don't remember this guys name, maybe it was Michael Angelo. I won't even go back to have it fixed. I am in my 50s, so I only have to live with this for a short time.
