Pacific Pines RV Park And Storage

This is a wonderful and pretty quiet RV park. They have a…read moresmall rec room with puzzles, games, TV and a pool table. They have a few row of permanents but also spaces for people with reservations and possibly a few reserved for those without. You could not ask for a better staff of Amy and her daughter Sandy! They do an excellent job! They are very kind, sincere, accommodating, helpful and really go the extra mile to help you. The maintenance crew does a wonderful job keeping everything cleaned, tidied and trimmed. They have a sign up sheet for laundry so you have 3 washers & dryers at your disposal. There is a 2 hour time slot for yourself to get clothes done. I would highly recommend this wonderful RV Park. We stored our RV in front of the RV park for many years so it was wonderful to hook up and drive around the corner into the park. We have stayed there many years until we sold our RV last year.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS CAMPGROUND, FAST! We recently finished a six-month stay at a different…read moreCampground here in florence. Having no problem there, they only allowed 6 months of camping. We moved to Pacific Pines RV Park to continue camping until our house is finished being built. Immediately the ladies in management began to nitpick and gripe at us for things we had not done. In the first few days my wife was doing laundry and was aggressively approached by the manager stating that she had to be a camper there to use the machines. My wife told her that we had just moved in. She then began to tell her that she had to sign the sign up sheet. Again, my wife informed her that we did. These type of little nitpicky things continue to happen. We in our six weeks there received multiple two page, poorly written, letters to all the residence stating all the infractions everyone in the park was doing. Like walking their dogs in the wrong place, allowing their children to ride bikes and scooters incorrectly, improperly using the washers and dryers in the laundry room, putting trash in the wrong dumpster when both dumpster are for trash, or speeding too fast in the park. With each letter threats were made to kick people out of the park or to shut down facilities like bathrooms and showers or laundry room or all together the rec room. Management would follow you around as you drove through or walk through the park and would look for ways to correct or reprimand you. The final straw was being accused of speeding when I was looking at my speedometer and was below the stated speed. Which is 5 mph. When I informed them I wasn't, she began yelling and holding out all five fingers. These women in management there are narcissistic authoritarians. You cannot argue with them, because if they say it - it must be true. Otherwise they place you on probation and threaten to kick you out. You cannot argue with someone like that all you can do is report them to the owner or leave. We paid for our second month but we left 10 days early. We let go of our money and moved out for peace of mind. Management there will not allow you to relax or enjoy your stay because it's more about the rules. Finally, as we were leaving they were griping at the men in the park for using too much toilet paper in the bathroom, so their solution was to be passively aggressive and put an out of order sign on the men's restroom door. They have also removed all the picnic tables from each campsite due to people not using them the way they think they should. DO NOT STAY HERE, other campgrounds in town are much better.

U-Store Mini Storage

This place gets one star because our things were not damaged while we rented a unit there. We…read moresigned up w/ U-Store for a 10x25 storage unit in early October 2016. The cost of this unit was 185.00 mo. for an air-circulating (not heat) unit for our household items. I've never paid so much for a large storage unit like this in my life. Not two months later we received a notice (to all tenants) warning unit owners of "new policy on late payments" which are horrifying (so many days late and your unit gets locked up and your items can be sold off profiting the storage facility owner!) and very unfair. We only just moved in and we're not late nor have we been late due to neglect to mail payment on time. Six months later we get a "Rate Change Notice" that "After a careful market analysis & increased market demand" the storage facility owner chooses to RAISE unit rate fees. Ours went up 10.00 to 195.00 mo. effective June 1, 2017. Careful market analysis translates to us into "because we can...we're going to gauge you w/ a price increase". We decided to find another storage facility with owners who didn't rip off their customers. On June 28th we moved our items to another storage facility charging us 65.00 less for essentially the same size unit. On the day of moving we saw two other people moving their items out of storage as well. I asked them if they were moving out of town and they told us that they were moving out of the storage facility because they had received 3 RATE HIKES in 2016 and were tired of being financially abused. I would never treat customers as badly as Mr. Fillmer has treated his customers. I hope people will find this review helpful in their search for quality management and service of a storage facility operation.

I asked if I need a confirmation number and he said 'no', he will call me a few days before. I was skeptical because it is the coast and contractors are notorious for last minute snaffu's. It came to a few days before our move and they called to confirm! Even the Uhaul changed the truck we reserved 3 weeks ahead. (We moved some stuff ourselves). The guys called that morning to say they'd be delayed for half an hour. I was impressed they called to let me know. They arrived and walked the house to see what they'd be taking and figure logistics. Our house was quirky. We did have a cargo lift in the back and I knew they'd enjoy that. They each wore masks so I felt protected. They were professional, friendly and very careful with our belongings. We had two men....Dylan and Zeb. They were fun! They made our move easy and affordable. They informed me that they will move items for seniors...like dressers etc., that are too heavy for elderly people. I told him my husband and I are with our local fire department and we do Fire Prevention and smoke alarms for people, mostly seniors. That is an excellent service that Bekins should be advertising more. I think that is a fantastic service! It really helps community members. A five star experience. Extremely affordable...fast, friendly and professional. Thank you Dylan and Zeb and Bekins!!

I sent them pictures, and was told they could not refund or help me with this issue because I moved out of the State of Oregon. They obviously don't care about their services....Beware!!!!!

When we went back to the unit we discovered that there was a rat infestation. The manager told us that rats had been reported months earlier but we weren't informed. If we had been told maybe we could remove our stuff in time to avoid this situation. The manager said they had called an exterminator but we found a large LIVE rat in our unit and 11 LIVE newborn rats in a box. (See photos) Every surface was covered with rat urine and feces. All of our soft furniture: couch, mattress, glider had been chewed and destroyed. Between the furniture we need to replaced, the cleaning costs, and the junk removal costs we are out over $2,500. Not to mention the weeks it will take to disinfect everything so that my toddlers don't get sick. It has been almost a month and we still have not received any compensation. All we were offered was $500, which only covers the disposal fee of what was destroyed (and we still haven't even received that check yet). Multiple emails and voicemails have gone unanswered the past 2 weeks. Learn from our mistake and do not use this facility.
