Second time in Missoula, second time at Florabella! Still living this restaurant! The space is so fun and colorful it's hard not to like it... and the light fixture is especially eye catching!! Tonite we tried the Arugula Salad which is beyond delicious! And the Mutti Tomato Tartar along with the Funghi Pizza! I would say that the tomato Tartar with the crust of the pizza was amazing! The pizza itself was good but not great to me... I didn't realize that it wasn't a tomato sauce based pizza... I prefer tomato sauce but other than that the toppings were really good! Most awkward dining experience ever. Came alone. Told the hostess I was alone. So, I sat at the bar next to a white haired gentleman. My intention was to order a salad that I'd eat myself, and a pizza that I'd eat a piece or two of and take the rest home to my family for their dinner. My salad came quickly. I chit chatted with the man next to me. My pizza, however, took an hour to arrive. An hour! People to my left and right had been served, eaten and left before I got my pizza. The bartender who took my order apologized and gave me $13 off. OK, nice, but then the shite hit the fan. The server, a twenty something gal, came to the bar, served the pizza with two plates and placed the pizza between myself and this white haired gentleman"gentleman," saying "Here you guys go, enjoy!" So that put me in an awkward situation, especially because this man was NOT a gentleman! I listened to him checking out women for one hour, commenting on how much skin they were showing, body features, whether he found them attractive or how he'd like to get to know this person or that. His eyes were constantly scanning the room. He was saying inappropriate things. So, this stranger was the LAST person I wanted to share my pizza with. But what do you do when someone puts you in that type of forced awkwardness if having to offer a perv a piece of your pizza??? Awful!!! read more

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant and excellent food. We arrived for a late lunch with a group of 8 and luxuriated in the atmosphere and delicious food. Our diverse dietary needs were easily and deliciously met. We were able to linger together as the lunch hours ended prior to the menu shift for evening. I wish I had more time in town to return for more meals. I could spend hours soaking in the beautiful interior and patio garden. Missoula is very lucky to have this treasure. read more

My daughter suggested I try Florabella after she saw it reviewed by Guy Fieri. What a gem in downtown Missoula. The atmosphere is fabulous and hip without being intimidating. The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. Who can turn down bread like that? I ordered soup and meatballs to taste their specialties without pasta. Neither disappointed. We've eaten here every summer for 8 years, through the pandemic, the closing and the remodel, and through ownership changes. As of summer 2026, the menu selections, wine choices and service are the best we've experienced. The wines are wonderful the pastas are excellent, and the staff was incredible. You pay for the aesthetic of the restaurant and not necessarily the quality of the food. Cute to look at, meh to eat at. When the server brought out our utensils after our appetizers he placed them directly on the table's surface and for some reason that grossed me out. I'm sure the table was clean but they couldn't bring out an extra napkin and place utensils on there?? Some of us still had our napkins on the table actually so placing them on the table was definitely a choice. I later requested for a birthday dessert for my niece and they brought it out while I was in the bathroom... pretty annoyed about that; why couldn't they wait until everyone was present? Not cool. Also bathrooms are ridiculously hidden for no reason??? What's up with that? I don't love having to go through a maze & elevator to use the bathroom. Anyways save your money, go to Olive Garden if you want pasta, it's way more worth your hard earned money and it'll likely be a nicer experience. read more

We Stopped by for outdoor, peaceful summer brunch and was bombarded with very loud dance/type music which had so much bass and noise my heart started racing and I could not hear my husband. Asking to turn it down, server said they could only turn it down a teeny bit. Finally they turned it off but we shouldn't have to complain in an upscale, high end neighborhood venue. From the moment you walk in, the interiors are beautiful and inviting. We made quite a last minute reservation on OpenTable so we were sat at the bar. But for a foodie, I actually found it very entertaining to see how the food makes it from the kitchen to the pass and onto the dining tables. Ambience is definitely very young and hip without feeling like they try to hard. No obnoxiously loud music or anything. This place was easily one of the most delicious places I've ever eaten at. It's my first time in Montana so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this place wowed for sure. My boyfriend and I tried one of every course except pizza on the menu to get a really good taste of everything they had to offer and each one knocked it out of the park. Prices are reasonable for the quality of ingredients and attention to detail as well. Portion sizes are generous enough to share as well if you're not ravenous. Service was a bit slow for a while because there were a few large parties while we were dining. Our server had to apologize more than a few times for the wait but it was all honestly water under the bridge after we started eating. My boyfriend claims that the burnt basque cheesecake was the best cheesecake he's ever eaten in his life, so safe to say we left very very satisfied. If I lived in Montana i'd definitely be back in a heartbeat! read more

We came here to carb load before the half marathon. I made a reservation ahead of time and they seated us right away. We shared the olives and they hit the spot. We also got bread with some spreads. Also good. My pasta dish - the bolognese - was filling without making me too full. I wasn't a fan of the rose wine I got - it just wasn't good. This restaurant has it ALL. Amazing staff, fabulous food, and the ambiance is outstanding. We were in town for the fair. I wanted to see how I placed in the photography division and I won the highest honor with a blue ribbon so on a whim we decided to celebrate. I've been wanting to come here because Guy Fieri visited in a recent episode. We had my granddaughters with us and several staff members came over at some point in the meal to introduce themselves and talk to the girls. Just the warmest feeling I've ever had in a restaurant. My daughter and I had Italian sodas, and the orange cardamom homemade syrup I had was so darn good! The pate with cherries and pistachios was delicious and we all loved the lavender butter. All three of us ordered the Osso Bocco short ribs which were TO DIE FOR. The polenta was super whipped and creamy, I wanted to lick the plate. My granddaughter shared with me and at one point we laughed because her eyes rolled in the back of her head while eating the melt-in-your-mouth fat off my plate. I had an espresso for the two hour drive home (con panna) and that was SO awesome as well. The patio is whimsical and adorned with a well kept garden. Can't wait to go back and visit again. Florabella has a great space and good drinks, but unless you order off-menu, the food itself is just okay - absolutely not authentically Italian - and the service seemed surprisingly inexperienced. Neither of those things are deal-breakers were it not for Florabella's premium prices. If you do go, it's probably best suited for patio drinks & appetizers, which were the best part of the menu. If you really want to stay for dinner, consider ordering off-menu. The kitchen made an excellent seasonal salad and pasta for my vegan relatives, which were miles better than the over-cheesed, generic "Italian-ish" dishes we received. Still not authentically Italian, but well-done and actually more affordable than our dishes. read more

Returned to try their dinner and was not disappointed. The server was very knowledgeable about the wine selection as well as food substitutions for certain menu items. Everything I had, once again, was delicious. I'd highly recommend making a reservation beforehand to ensure seating especially if dining on the weekend. The beautiful sculpture in the center helps to alleviate loud echos from people talking which makes for a pleasant dinner atmosphere. Food and service wonderful. But it is very noisy. The building was built to be a restaurant but always had terrible acoustics. The original owners closed it after a few years. New owners tried to amend the poor acoustics with baffles which are very attractive. But any improvement gained is offset by the owners' insisting on playing music at a level to discourage congenial conversation. One is forced to talk with raised voice to be heard. When you have a whole room of people trying to be heard....well, just enjoy your food and drink and go somewhere else to talk. On several occasions when we asked if the music could be turned down, we were told that "the owner likes it that way". So we just won't eat there anymore. read more

It was so incredible, my hubs and I came here twice while on vacation. He got the bolognese both times, I got this special my first time that was a truffle risotto (it would have been better with just a little bit of salt, kind of bland for me), the pesto fungi pizza that was really delicious, the meatballs that were tasty and very hearty (must share or eat as a meal by itself), as well as the arugula salad that was packed with flavor and the tiramisu that was a shining star. Service was attentive without being pushy, wine selection is fine Italians (speaking my language- pairs well with the heavier Italian food). We paid $160 without tip our first meal with just us two and $120 second time. A pretty pricey place, but I would recommend 10/10 for flavor, presentation and service. Tables are pretty close together as well so if you don't want to eat and be involved in someone's conversation, arrive when they open for dinner dining during the week. Server mentioned weekends are very packed and reservations are recommended. read more

This review is for the cafe part of Florabella. 1) They serve Black Coffee Roasting - which is in my opinion the best coffee in Missoula. 2) They make their own pastries. - Their pastry Chef comes from Bozeman's Wild Crumb. Wild Crumb was a James Bread semi-finalist last year. 3) Modern, hip interior design. Better than the old place that was here thus far... I have yet to try the dining here however from my experience thus far this could potentially be the 1st real restaurant in Missoula that offers exceptional food.
