My daughter suggested I try Florabella after she saw it reviewed by Guy Fieri. What a gem in downtown Missoula. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is fabulous and hip without being intimidating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. Who can turn down bread like that? I ordered soup and meatballs to taste their specialties without pasta. Neither disappointed. The service was friendly and professional without being intrusive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As usual, I was dining alone but felt welcomed and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is better than other places in Missoula but honestly overpriced and just ok. Not brag worthy but also not hate review level. You hear me? It's just ok. Go for the atmosphere and enjoy yourself. The staff is a bit cold and unattentive but also not horrible ...just crummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]For such a lovely atmosphere, you just think everything else would match the energy. Not the case[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The food, service, and atmosphere were amazing![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is so beautiful and the food is high quality with amazing flavor profiles.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Every item we ordered was delicious!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]You pay for the aesthetic of the restaurant and not necessarily the quality of the food. Cute to look at, meh to eat at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When the server brought out our utensils after our appetizers he placed them directly on the table's surface and for some reason that grossed me out. I'm sure the table was clean but they couldn't bring out an extra napkin and place utensils on there?? Some of us still had our napkins on the table actually so placing them on the table was definitely a choice. I later requested for a birthday dessert for my niece and they brought it out while I was in the bathroom... pretty annoyed about that; why couldn't they wait until everyone was present? Not cool. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also bathrooms are ridiculously hidden for no reason??? What's up with that? I don't love having to go through a maze & elevator to use the bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anyways save your money, go to Olive Garden if you want pasta, it's way more worth your hard earned money and it'll likely be a nicer experience.

What an absolute gem of a find! Missoula has been impressing me with its small town feel, access to absolutely everything outdoors, and some of the most amazing restaurants! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tonight we tried Florabella because as we passed by on our way to rent mountain bikes we saw the market lights on the patio and thought we want to go there![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is set in an older building so has the charm of an old brick façade but inside it's modern and fun! (see my interior photos attached) Our waitress was McKayla and she did a great job helping us narrow down our selections... One of the fun things we learned about this restaurant is that they have an offer where you can get a pasta, a pizza, two glasses of wine and two movie tickets to the local theater for $40! (Not sure if this is an ongoing special or if it was just for this week) The food here is amazing...all the pasta and pizza crusts are made fresh from scratch in house! And they have a really nice wine list! Tonight I had the arugula salad while my husband had the Caesar as starters. We had a hard time deciding what to have for dinner so we ended up sharing the Conchiglie and the Funghi pizza... and finished off with a chocolate dessert! It was a lot of food, but it was so delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Missoula. It is a little bit outside of town but well worth the drive! (as in everything in Missoula is about a 5 to 10 minute drive if you're not right downtown)

Lovely restaurant patio.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We Stopped by for outdoor, peaceful summer brunch and was bombarded with very loud dance/type music which had so much bass and noise my heart started racing and I could not hear my husband[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Asking to turn it down, server said they could only turn it down a teeny bit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Finally they turned it off but we shouldn't have to complain in an upscale, high end neighborhood venue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was totally out of synch with this beautiful venue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is the Best Italian restaurant in Missoula. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great service, great ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be going back 5/5.

From the moment you walk in, the interiors are beautiful and inviting. We made quite a last minute reservation on OpenTable so we were sat at the bar. But for a foodie, I actually found it very entertaining to see how the food makes it from the kitchen to the pass and onto the dining tables. Ambience is definitely very young and hip without feeling like they try to hard. No obnoxiously loud music or anything. This place was easily one of the most delicious places I've ever eaten at. It's my first time in Montana so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this place wowed for sure. My boyfriend and I tried one of every course except pizza on the menu to get a really good taste of everything they had to offer and each one knocked it out of the park. Prices are reasonable for the quality of ingredients and attention to detail as well. Portion sizes are generous enough to share as well if you're not ravenous. Service was a bit slow for a while because there were a few large parties while we were dining. Our server had to apologize more than a few times for the wait but it was all honestly water under the bridge after we started eating. My boyfriend claims that the burnt basque cheesecake was the best cheesecake he's ever eaten in his life, so safe to say we left very very satisfied. If I lived in Montana i'd definitely be back in a heartbeat!

This was my second visit. The first time we had dinner which was outstanding!! This time we had lunch because I can't thinking about the Margherita Pizza. Their pizza dough is made in house and wood-fired. It is outstanding! We also decided to try the Funghi Pizza and were not disappointed. It had a pesto base with mushrooms and pistachios. Why did I not think of this flavor combination?!

Love the decor and atmosphere and staff is really good about taking care of their patrons. Meat and cheese board was delicious. Pizzas were okay but someone else might think they are the greatest. Pasta was not over cooked and sauces were flavorful but not overwhelming in spice. Great selection of wines but limited on beer and cider. I would recommend this place and look forward to returning and trying some of the other items.

Huge wine selection too

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Came in to get some coffee, and stayed to try the prosciutto and margarita pizza... 10/10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also had a really nice ambiance to it, quiet cafe side, nice restaurant, and a beautiful bar![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is super friendly and attentive, service is very fast also. 10/10 would 100% recommend!

We came here to carb load before the half marathon. I made a reservation ahead of time and they seated us right away. We shared the olives and they hit the spot. We also got bread with some spreads. Also good. My pasta dish - the bolognese - was filling without making me too full. I wasn't a fan of the rose wine I got - it just wasn't good. Cool ambiance inside and server was friendly and prompt. It's in a neighborhood not far from downtown. A nice Italian spot to try!

The service was slow. The grilled cheese sandwiches were over cooked and the French fries were cold. All in all not a great experience.

It's a huge hangar type space filled with locals bustling in for their morning coffee. My typical way to know if I'll like a coffee shop is if their cappuccino is only offered in one (or two) sizes. Black Coffee had that-BINGO. Delicious and perfectly made. My only regret is not buying beans to brew at home.

(525) is worth a stop for the building alone--that curved corrugated-metal shell, the tangle of Edison bulbs strung across the high ceiling, and a sunny little patio out back make it one of the more distinctive coffee spots around. The service was friendly and quick. I ordered at the counter and had my drink in hand in no time, with genuinely nice folks behind the bar. The menu has some fun, unexpected touches too--the mint cold brew is a standout you won't find everywhere, and it's refreshing without being gimmicky. The pastry case is where they really shine. House-made bialys, savory danishes with coconut greens and pork belly, sweet danishes with black tea and roasted rhubarb, plus a rotating lineup of cookies and tea cakes. Everything looks like it's made with real care, and the bakery side (Grist) clearly takes the craft seriously. One heads-up: there's no WiFi. If you're hoping to post up and grind through a few hours of work, this isn't the spot for it--plan on a shorter visit or bring a hotspot. For a quick, high-quality coffee-and-pastry run, though, it's a winner. Come for the architecture and the mint cold brew, stay for the bialys--just don't expect to get much emailing done.

The pastry case is impressive with a huge selection of pastries, bagels, and goodies, including massive pies that are hard to resist. Coffee and tea options cover all the standard classics, plus some fun twists that keep the menu interesting. The coffee is good for the area but nothing outstanding. The space itself is large with plenty of seating options, and it never feels overly crowded, which is a big plus if you want to sit and relax for a while. Unfortunately, the service has gone downhill. The baristas used to be incredibly friendly, remembered drink orders, and made you feel genuinely welcome. Lately, it feels rushed and impersonal, like you're just being pushed through the line with little acknowledgment. The experience has been very hit or miss, which makes it hard to want to return regularly. Overall, amazing pastries and pies, solid drinks, and a great space, but the inconsistency in service is what keeps this from being a frequent stop for me anymore.

I also really appreciated that they offer several vegan options. I ordered the Creamy Blue Smoothie and the Banana Walnut Oatmeal. The oatmeal was absolutely AMAZING--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily one of the best breakfasts I've had here. It's the item I'd recommend to everyone. The smoothie was good overall, but the fresh mint was a bit overpowering and left an aftertaste for me. I think it would be even better without the mint or with less of it. I also appreciated that they use compostable straws, although mine was cracked when I unwrapped it. Later, I came back for lunch and ordered the half Brussels Caesar Salad with the vegan protein. The vegan protein (chickpeas and lentils) was delicious, and the half portion was surprisingly large. I also liked that the dressing came already tossed throughout the salad. One thing I found a little confusing was that the Brussels Caesar uses a vegan dressing but is topped with cheese, so I'd be curious what substitution is offered for guests ordering it vegan. The bread was good, although the butter was served very cold and was difficult to spread. A few suggestions that could make the experience even better: * Add a larger "Basal" sign above the entrance to make the restaurant easier to spot. * Install a large wall-mounted menu inside for easier viewing. * Keep tables and chairs wiped down throughout the lunch rush. The restaurant was spotless during breakfast, but by lunchtime several tables and seats needed cleaning. Given the price point, I'd expect a bit more attention to dining room upkeep. Overall: good atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. I recommend the Banana Walnut Oatmeal.
