They used our deposit for billing for items not charged for by any other contractors we spoke to. Talked lots about not wasting our time OR theirs, then proceeded to waste months of our time. After…read moremonths of conversations about a house and confirmation from them that they could deliver it to a property we wanted, they suddenly changed their tune and said they could NOT deliver to that property now. Then the guy we were dealing with said that they couldn't deliver any house to that property, that it was impossible, full stop -- then in the same conversation 2 minutes later, he told us they had lots of other houses we could look at that they could get to the property. Very strange. Too many other similar red flags to list. We love the idea of recycling houses but will steer clear of Nickel Bros if we do go that route in the future.

Every time a turn backing trailer in asphalt comes up . Even our car leaves marks, just seems to soft. We sealed it ourselves, since no reply from Owen, no marks now! They never came back to seal they never returned our calls. Also after breaking our hose the never stopped in to fix it. I did offer to fix but as any good contractor would say no " I take care of it". A good contractor would also keep their word and at least stop in see it was fixed & offer the part they had brought to repair it! No big deal til you call for a problem & you expect to be addressed isn't. Poor Product of poor installation?

Here is a short list of the realities I experienced purchasing metal siding from them: - I was very sarcastically told how important their customers are while begrudgingly filling my order - I was shorted material then having to persue and persue them to remedy their error - I was given non-itemized invoices, and one time when they finally sent an itemized invoice they realized they overcharged me but offered no apology as if this is a typical occurence - after spending more than $5000 on materials, I was told they could not supply with me with the last few pieces required to finish my job - they are almost never available on the phone (the person who sometimes answers the phone cannot do anything to assist with orders, answer questions about products or solve problems with orders) My sense is that the only reason Westwood is still in business is because they don't have many competitors in Nanaimo so they can get away with their attitude and service. I highly suggest avoiding them at all costs and buying from the Slegg roofing department instead (pretty much the only other choice in Nanaimo). You will get the same products at a very slightly higher cost, but trust me the small increase in price is well worth the numerous hassles and headaches of dealing with Westwood.
